In my text widget, I put a button shortcode: “[av_button label=...'']”
Since a while, the button isn’t showing anymore. I treid to put the shortcode in an html widget, with no success.
When I copy/paste the shortcode in a textfield on a regular page, it shows up in the frontend. Can you explain me why it doesn’t show up anymore in the widget? And how I can solve this?
Thanks,
Sytse

Is it the download text in the sidebar which is supposed to be a button? If so then please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.

Please have a look at these threads for possible solutions:

From the first linked post, I got the solution to add “add_filter( ‘widget_text’, ‘do_shortcode’ );” to the functions.php. Unfortunately this didn’t work.
From the second link, I learned the workaround to add some shortcode on the page itself, so it would also work in the sidebar. But as this is the WooCommerce shop-page, I can’t edit it, so it also isn’t possible to add any shortcode to this page. But during the testing I manually deleted and uploaded the complete Enfold theme folder, and this fixed the problem. So it’s done.
Solved, case closed.
