GuestHi,
I want to purchase the theme and use it with the Tutor LMS plugin (https://tutorlms.com/)…
Tutor LMS responds:
Blog page is designed using a shortcode that belongs to the Enfold theme ([av_blog]), and all the parameters used in that shortcode are specific to Enfold — they are not related to Tutor LMS. This is why custom blog layout does not reflect correctly when visiting a URL like:
👉 https://mysite.eu/category/news/What I want is for you to look at the specific demo, just to make it look like the demo:
https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-shop/blog/
https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-shop/category/news/
https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-shop/category/personal/
https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-shop/2014/08/That URL is treated as a category archive page, and due to the way the Enfold theme handles post types, it is rendering posts in the style of Tutor LMS course cards.
In Tutor LMS, courses are stored as WordPress posts in the wp_posts table. The Enfold theme appears to override the default display of these post types and is treating the posts in that category (e.g., news) as courses — leading to this unintended course-style layout.
This confirms that the behavior is caused by a compatibility issue between the Tutor LMS plugin and the Enfold theme…Ok, but as far as I understand, Enfold uses the standard WordPress categories??? I didn’t understand – who is interfering with whom???
Thanks in advance!

VKAugust 1, 2025 at 5:57 am #1487441Hey Ventsislav Krastev,
Thank you for the inquiry.
We may need to inspect the site or the affected pages. Please provide the details in the private field, including direct links to the affected categories. Did you set the main blog page in Enfold > Theme Options?
Best regards,

We tried logging in to the site, but either the username or password is incorrect. Unfortunately, we can’t provide assistance for an unlicensed installation. Please reach out to the plugin developers first before considering purchasing the theme.

We tried logging in to the site again, but the credentials were incorrect. Could you please provide a link to a course page where the issue occurs?
The following demos are displaying correctly:
https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-shop/blog/
https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-shop/category/news/
https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-shop/category/personal/

Thank you for the info.
What happens when you activate a child theme and copy the template-archives.php and archive.php files from the Enfold parent theme to the child theme directory? This should override the default template used by the Tutor LMS plugin.

Let us know the result.

Please also read what the plugin authors say, the last one quoted above … that the thing in the call shortcode was messed up ….

VKAugust 25, 2025 at 8:40 am #1488480Hi,
In Tutor LMS, courses are stored as WordPress posts in the wp_posts table. The Enfold theme seems to override the default display of these post types and treats posts in that category (e.g. news) as courses, resulting in this unintended course-style layout.
If this statement is accurate, then the category pages shouldn’t display correctly when Tutor LMS is inactive. However, since the category pages display fine when the plugin is deactivated and only change when it’s active, it seems quite clear that the plugin is overriding something in the templates or redirecting the default templates to its own custom ones. We recommend reaching out to the plugin developers for clarification and to ask whether there are any functions in the plugin that enforce custom course styles or templates on the category pages.

IsmaelAugust 25, 2025 at 4:42 pm #1488496Hi,
but think about something else, the Tutor LMS plugin works with all themes, and I tested with many, only with Enfold things get confused, please take a look at the rest of the check that the authors of the plugin did, which I presented to you earlier…
Maybe there is a problem with the calling of the blog categories and the way the Enfold shortcode calls them:“Your blog page is designed using a shortcode that belongs to the Enfold theme ([av_blog]), and all parameters used in that shortcode are specific to Enfold — they are not related to Tutor LMS. This is why your custom blog layout is not reflected correctly when visiting a URL like:”

VKAugust 26, 2025 at 5:02 am #1488511Hi,
Your blog page is designed using a shortcode that belongs to the Enfold theme ([av_blog]), and all parameters used in that shortcode are specific to Enfold — they are not related to Tutor LMS. This is why your custom blog layout is not reflected correctly when visiting a URL like:
This statement is not accurate either. If the category pages were using the archive.php file, which contains the avia_post_slider or the av_blog shortcode, they would display correctly, just as they do when the plugin is inactive. However, since the category pages are instead displaying as course pages, it’s clear that the plugin is forcing its layout onto the taxonomy or archive pages.
Once again, we recommend reaching out to the plugin developers to ask whether the plugin uses any filters or hooks to redirect to a different template.
Best regards,
