    Hi,

I created a blog post today from the scratch using the Avia layout builder instead of using the default blog layout. In doing so, I realised that it does display the author picture and name as it displays when using the default layout. More importantly, it does not provide any option to include the blog excerpt. I have set to show all blog posts with title and except on our blog page and more recent reads on the home page. The fact that all blogs show the title and excerpt expect for the one that I just created today gives the whole layout a rather odd look. I used the custom layout as I wanted better flexibility in presenting my content so reverting back to default layout will not help.
Could you help me on this please – I would like to include the author name and title on the blog post as per the default layout as well as display the blog excerpt on the blog page and home page.

I look forward to your prompt response.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
I can access the link now but the document does not answer my query. I am looking to add an excerpt to my blog page which usually appears on the default layout, however, I have used an advanced layout for this page ( link below) and there is no option to include the excerpt.

    Hi,

If you do not see the excerpt field then click on “Screen Options” in the top right hand corner of your screen and check it to display.

    Best regards,
