Hi,
My blog post doesn’t update in the front end, so I can’t keep writing because it doesn’t show up.
Can you please check it out on my site?
I can’t update to the latest WordPress by the way because it stops my mobile menu from working…
Thanks
LisaJanuary 3, 2021 at 4:46 am #1270034Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the login details. In which of your posts are you having this problem? Did you try to clear the cache from your caching plugin, or leave it deactivated to see if that changes anything?
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 4, 2021 at 1:50 am #1270068Hi Rikard,
It happens in the post “How to write a blog to make money”.
I’ve had this problem before and deactivating cache or using different browser didn’t work..
Nothing worked so I started the same blog post again and copied and pasted all content in the new post and deleted the old post.
I hope there is another solution though because I don’t want to have to do this process 3 times every time I write a post…
Thanks,January 4, 2021 at 8:01 am #1270109Hi,
Thanks for the update. First off, could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.7.6.4) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update.

RikardJanuary 4, 2021 at 11:11 am #1270118Hi,
I’ve updated the theme and refreshed the page several times but my new content that shows in the backend still does not show up in the front end…
Thanks,
LisaJanuary 4, 2021 at 11:13 am #1270119Is it safe for me to update WordPress now?
(before the latest update made my mobile menu show up blank…)January 5, 2021 at 3:29 am #1270288Hi Lisa,
There are some problems with running 5.6 and the current version of the theme. You can update to 5.6, but then you would have to run this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/, and set the jQuery version to 1.12.4 in the plugin options.
About the post not updating; could you enable debug mode so that we can copy the content to a new post please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#debug-mode. We can do it for you if you enable the Editor function in WordPress, or share FTP login details with us in private.

RikardJanuary 5, 2021 at 5:59 am #1270324Hi Rikard,
I’ve enabled editor for your username ( I thought an administrator could edit..)
Please let me know if you need anything else.
thanks,
LisaJanuary 6, 2021 at 3:57 am #1270499Hi Lisa,
Thanks for that. It’s not the user role I’m referring to, that needs to be administrator. I mean the functionality under Appearance->Editor in the WordPress menu, that is turned off on your installation. If you don’t know how to activate it, then please simply share FTP login details in private, and set the user account you sent us back to administrator rights.

Did you get my login details?
Thanks,January 10, 2021 at 4:17 am #1271274Hi Lisa,
No, I can’t see any FTP login details in this thread unfortunately. Please try sending them again, and make sure that you write something in the public box of your message as well.

I never use FTP, I use my Cpanel…
I hope this will work too.
Thanks,January 11, 2021 at 5:37 am #1271476Hi,
Thanks for that. The login details seem to work, but I get this message after logging in:
You are attempting to log in from an unrecognised device or location.
To keep your account and data safe, we need to verify this is really you with a one-time code we can send to your email.
Please send us a working code, or try creating an FTP account in your hosting administration.

RikardJanuary 12, 2021 at 3:21 am #1271721Please see login details in private content.
ThanksJanuary 13, 2021 at 4:55 am #1272017Hi,
Thanks for that. I activated debug mode on your installation, and copied all the content from the problem post to a new post. Please see private. The new post seems to act like it should, could you verify that on your end please? If the new one works as it should, then please continue using that, and delete the old one.

RikardJanuary 13, 2021 at 7:19 am #1272041Hi Rikard,
I don’t know what’s wrong with it but it’s still not updating….
Try and add a sentence and check the front end.. it won’t be there…Is it possible that if I copied some text from the front end and pasted it in the backend in the text editor, could this cause a glitch?
Thanks for your help,
LisaJanuary 14, 2021 at 12:35 pm #1272382Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the update. I see the same thing on my end too unfortunately. Would it be ok if we installed this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/transients-manager/, and clear all the WordPress transients to see if that helps? Please make sure that you have backups of the site before you give us permission to do this. We would like to disable your caching plugin for debugging purposes as well, if that is ok?
Best regards,
Rikard -
