    Hi, I have found this post that explains how to edit the excerpt length. However, I can’t find a setting to prevent words being cut off right in the middle.

    I don’t want an excerpt that says for example “the most interesting pla…” but which is finishing the word “the most interesting place”

    Can you help me with this?

    Hey bluecafe,
    Please try using a plugin such as this one – https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-excerpt/
    Trims the excerpts to a given length using either character count or word count

    Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. I have already tried the advanced excerpt plugin but it doesn’t seem to have any effect when using enfold theme. The enfold theme seems to have it’s own rules defined in postslider.php as described in this post . However, I can’t see how I can prevent words being cut in the middle.

    I read that post also when I was researching, I don’t see a solution for whole word excerpts.
