Please update the theme to the latest version. That should fix any issues you are currently experiencing :)
To update to the latest version follow the simple instructions here. (Or if you want the super detailed explanation you can read this blog post)
And you need to update php to at least php7.2.
Best regards,
VictoriaOctober 31, 2020 at 2:03 pm #1257232I have the same problem. When I follow the link for instructions here and try to download enfold-child, I get a message saying it can’t be downloaded securely. No problem downloading the Enfold theme.
I’ve already requested help in another post but have not received a response.

We just upgraded to ENFOLD 4.7.6.4, WP 5.5.3 and PHP 7.4When will the update be available for this fix?
November 2, 2020 at 4:40 am #1257500Hi geo777,
You are still running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.7.6.4) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

What you are experiencing is not a general problem with the theme. Please open a new thread and include WordPress admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look at your site.

RikardNovember 2, 2020 at 9:50 am #1257534I am wondering if the WP issue has to do with the WP version 5.5.2 that was buggy. This happened over the weekend. Read more at: https://wordpress.org/news/
November 2, 2020 at 10:17 am #1257540I had the same problems. I need to update to latest ENFOLD Version before upgrading to WP 5.5.
However, one Plugin didn’t work with ENFOLD. It was WP All Import Pro.
The trick is the following: Deactivate all plugins, than activate it one by one and check after each activation if Layout Editor is working or not. Then you can investigate which is the conflicting plugin. Needed time is varying deping on number of plugins. I have around 40 plugins, so I needed around 15-20 min.

Thanks for sharing your experience, it’s much appreciated.
I’m not sure if that version of WordPress is what caused problems @laptophobo.
