Hi,
I’d like to put in a (temporary) banner accross all sites over the menu bar.
Existing plugins don’t seem to work.
Based on an earlier thread (from 2014), I’ve tried including this within the helper-main-menu.php but without much luck.
Would you be able to suggest a solution, either in terms of css to include there, or any plugin that works?

I’m not sure exactly what you are looking for, but maybe adding a widget area to your header will solve your problem? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/header/#adding-a-header-widget-area
