I am trying to create a space for a banner above my menu in my header area, similar to this theme: https://demos.restored316designs.com/darling/ where it scrolls off the page then only the menu stays sticky.
I have tried to follow the steps on these pages but still cannot get it to work after creating the header widget, modifying my child theme’s functions.php and style.css files.
I’d like for the banner in the header (right now just a test image) to be above the logo and menu and then fall off the page like it does on the demo page above.
Are you able to take a look to see what I am doing wrong? Is the CSS referenced in your documentation above still valid?
Thank you.

Maybe it’s not exactly the same, but you can select to have the Full Width Submenu to be sticky once it reaches the top of the viewport. Could you have a look to see if that would suit your needs?

RikardApril 20, 2020 at 6:41 pm #1205542Hi Rikard – I’m having trouble understanding what you mean. My current issue is that I’m not able to position my image/banner above the logo and menu area. I think I want exactly what it is that is described in this help code snippet but that doesn’t seem to be working when I try it out: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/example-of-banner-above-the-logo-and-menu-area/
Are additional modifications needed or can you tell if I’m going about implementing it incorrectly?

I wanted to look at how you have it but credentials did not work for me. Could you please update the credentials.

Maybe it is better to go this way in this case:

VictoriaApril 24, 2020 at 6:28 pm #1206902Thanks for the suggestion, Victoria. Wouldn’t that potentially break with future theme updates? I’d rather use hooks or another method that keeps the update process easier and less error-proof if that’s possible.
Is it that the original tutorial and code samples at https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/example-of-banner-above-the-logo-and-menu-area/ are no longer working with the current version of the theme?
April 29, 2020 at 5:53 pm #1208220Hi synapse7,
It will not break the theme updates, you will need to copy the header file to your child theme and update the file there whenever there is the theme update.
I tried to look at what you made so far but credentials did not work again.
Best regards,
