NikkoMay 21, 2019 at 10:12 am #1102776Thank you for the post link. Unfortunately, I have followed it and that does not relate to my personal situation. Do you think you (or anyone) can have a look at my site https://www.neotel2000.com/ and help me improving here my google pagespeed insights: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.neotel2000.com%2F and gtmetrix: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.neotel2000.com/v1GcWVVg?
1. I have set File Compression exactly as described in that post.
2. I have downloaded and even upgraded my plan afterwards for ShortPixel plugin for image optimization as recommended in that post.
3. I have enabled browser caching adding the snippet of code at the top my the .htaccess file.
4. I’ve disabled emoji/smiley support and enabled to load google fonts in footer.
5. I use CDN (cdn77.com) integrated with w3 total cache WP plugin.
6. “Cookiless domains: The Yslow testing tools are not up to modern standards here. With HTTPS almost everywhere now, this is no longer a necessary step. If you really want to do this for the sake of the page score, here is an article as well ;)” < Done. I did enabled ‘Ignore set cookies’ in my cdn settings.
After doing all of these, not only my score did not improved; it actually got slightly worse.Looking forward to hear from you.
Thank you

May 21, 2019 at 4:48 pm #1102927Hi neotel2k,
I see, can you create a staging site for us and give us admin access to it? basically it’s just a duplicate of your site placed in your subdomain, so we can test it out without affecting your live site.
Here’s a link on how to create a stage site: https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-staging-site/Best regards,

Thanks, can you tell us how we can make the stage site public?
If I try to check it with pagespeed: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.neotel2000.com%2F-staging-neotel%2F&tab=desktop it tests the login page instead of the actual homepage for the stage site.Best regards,

https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.neotel2000.com%2F-staging-neotel%2F&tab=mobileThere you have it public. Although you won’t be able to login. This is the only way I have to make it public so if you don’t need the login functionality, here you go. Otherwise I will have to look for a new staging plugin or you point me to one if you know of some.
I will look forward to hear from you.
Thank you
May 24, 2019 at 11:50 am #1103903Hi neotel2k,
We’ll need both access and have it public since it’s needed when testing via pagespeed or gtmetrix.
I haven’t tested this yet but it has high ratings, maybe you can try this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/Best regards,
NikkoMay 24, 2019 at 1:21 pm #1103920That is the same plugin I am currently using.
I have tried with all listed in here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/staging/. Unfortunately with no luck, either they did present PHP errors or simply I couldn’t make em work as I wish.
Don’t you have a staging domain or so where locate a copy of my web? It will need to block indexation from all search engine bots.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Thanks
May 27, 2019 at 4:38 am #1104404Hi neotel2k,
I apologize for the delayed response.
If it is put on another domain it will not be accurate anymore since server response time will be different.
And server settings will also be different.Best regards,
NikkoMay 27, 2019 at 10:04 am #1104466I understand.
Well all I could have done is already done. How can you help me so?
Looking forward to hear from you.
May 29, 2019 at 5:27 pm #1105211Hi neotel2k,
Yes, Can you try to clone your live site using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
Here is an article that teaches how to do it using that plugin: https://themeisle.com/blog/clone-a-wordpress-website/Best regards,
