    Aviva layout builder stuck in loop – not allowing to edit page content of welcome page of imported GYM demo

    I had all latest versions php 7.4, wp 5.8.2 & enfold 4-8-6-2, didn’t work.
    So I went back to wp 5.8 and Enfold 4.8.5, still didn’t work.
    Deactivated all plugins, that didn’t work

    Aviva builder will open other pages, just not the home page, I like the layout of the demo home page and don’t really want to have to build it from scratch.

    Hope you can help. Maybe others are having the same issues.

    I emptied browser cache and used Chrome then Firefox, same problem.

    Thanks for contacting us!

    I enabled debugging mode – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#debug-mode and tried replacing the page content with a simple Text Block element and that worked however when I add the contents of the homepage, it does not.

    Could you please post FTP logins here privately as well? Also, can we try resetting your database and re-importing GYM demo?

    I just set up another dummy site and just installed
    wordpress, 5.8.1
    php 7.4,
    enfold 4.8.6
    orbisious child theme creator (created child theme)
    Classic editor (1.6.2)

    Imported the Gym demo

    And still have the same problem with the Avia Layout Builder just spinning round and not opening the welcome page from editing?
    The problem is just with the home page, I can open and edit other pages. Classes, Prices etc..
    If I change the ABOUT page to be the home page, I can open and edit that page, the problem seems to be opening the “Welcome” page in the downloaded demo. Cannot edit it, but can see it when I come out of the backend.???

    For me it is all pages having hung layout builder, not just home page…
    Running Enfold v3.8 on WordPress 4.6.21.
    was going to update to WP 5.8.1 but now I will wait for a resolution…

    Hi Nanwar,
    Your version are quite old, maybe you should consider updating? You can always downgrade or rollback the versions if it causes you problems using these two great plugins:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-downgrade/ (downgrade or upgrade your wordpress version)
    https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-rollback/ (rollback a theme or plugin)

    I usually choose to get a version that is one behind the latest.. so WordPress 5.8 instead of 5.8.1 or Enfold 4.8.6 in stead of 4.8.6.2

    This is taking too long to sort out. I’ll try other templates or build from scratch.

    I tried FTP, FTP with Implicit SSL and FTP with TLS/SSL however it is still not working for me. I attached screenshots in private content field below.
