I can’t edit any pages in Avia Layout Builder – when I click on a page it does not load fully, the circle keeps on spinning. I have updated the theme, WordPress and tried switching all plugins off but it has no effect.

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
- Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

Thanks for giving us admin access.
I tried to check on your site however I seem to get error 500 from time to time and sometimes have the backend show up properly.
I believe the issue might be related to the server, can you try to request assistance from your hosting provider to check on the issue?
NikkoJuly 15, 2021 at 5:25 pm #1310314
Yes, that was happening to me too. I went to the host first before coming to you and they couldn’t see any server issue having looked at the error logs – they suggested it could be a conflict between plugin and theme. I have included the error logs from today, 15th, in the private content – I hope that is some use.
many thanksJuly 16, 2021 at 8:37 am #1310354
Thanks, I see you have already disabled all plugins except for Woocommerce and it seems the same issue is still present which does not normally happen.
Can you try to switch the PHP version to 7.3 and see if this helps.
NikkoJuly 16, 2021 at 10:55 am #1310377
I switched it to 7.3 but I’m not seeing any difference.
PeterJuly 18, 2021 at 6:02 pm #1310616
Thank you for your patience I found that in your child theme functions.php you were using this code snippet:
This is no longer needed, I commented it out and now your site seems to be running much better, please check.
MikeJuly 18, 2021 at 7:59 pm #1310631
Thanks for spotting that. It seems to have made things work with accessing pages to edit but I am still getting a problem with the WooCommerce products page, which still won’t load to edit.
PeterJuly 20, 2021 at 1:18 pm #1310880
Please try removing your custom child theme woocommerce files to see if this corrects, perhaps there is a conflict with your customizations
When I check a woocommerce page I see this error
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)
so if removing your custom woocommerce files doesn’t solve then you will need to check your web server log for the cause of the Internal Server Error.
MikeJuly 20, 2021 at 2:50 pm #1310892
I tried disabling the whole woocomerce folder in enfold-child but it hasn’t made any difference. I can’t edit any existing product pages or create new product pages. I have put a recent take from the error log in the private content. So it seems to be a big issue with Woocommerce – I’m wondering if I should just delete the woocommerce plugin and install it again there are only about 9 product pages to reproduce.
PeterJuly 21, 2021 at 1:51 pm #1311143
I have not seen this before but I deactivated your plugin “Disable Gutenberg” and used the theme option Enfold Theme Options > Select Your Editor > Use WP Classic Editor instead, in case there was a conflict there.
Your errors above seem to be coming from woocommerce and pointing to PHP 7.4 but your server settings show you are using PHP 7.3.29, what PHP does your server say you are using in your hosting panel?
Perhaps try changing your PHP version either up or down, to test, but not 7.8
I also see that your PHP ZipArchive Extension is not enabled, perhaps try enabling that also.
Perhaps a woocommerce reinstall would help?
MikeJuly 21, 2021 at 4:05 pm #1311171
I’ve been using PHP 7.3 – it was 7.4 but I switched to no effect. I’ve done the Zip extension to no effect either. I do appreciate you looking at this and I know how good the quality of support is from you guys so if you can’t find anything I’m at a loss now so I think all that’s left is to reinstall woocommerce, as you say.

I am having the same issue. Can you please look at it. We are not using a child theme. We have already checked our server.July 22, 2021 at 3:56 am #1311291July 22, 2021 at 11:30 am #1311429
@trexperts please open a new thread, your issue is not the same as this thread as you are not using woocommerce. I was able to open your Advanced Layout Builder so I’m not sure if your issue is with a specific page or not. In your new thread please explain how we can recreate your error, I do recommend disabling all of your plugins and reenabling them one at a time, clearing your browser cache between each one to see if that helps.

@envapk2 I notice that when I check one of your products I see this error:
Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.
What web host are you using? Was this a new install or did you update an older version? You had some custom woocommerce files, is there a chance that you customized any of the main theme files?
Can you create a WordPress test install on your server? Perhaps on a sub-domain like /test/ if so try to export all of your current content at WordPress > Tools > Export > All content
and on the test site install a fresh Enfold & Woocommerce and then import the current content, please note that the export file only links to your current images so if you delete the images the install file won’t find them, all of the other content is in the file.
I’m thinking that some strange error occurred with your original install and this will show another install would work correctly?
I could try this on my test server, but that would not help you if it is some issue with your server.

The site was originally on another server and domain name and, using the Duplicator plugin, I copied it onto the current domain and server. There didn’t appear to be any problems from that duplication but maybe something happened then.
I don’t think there is a problem with the server as such. I have used the same set up with this host before with no problems. So I’m thinking of uninstalling Woocommerce and reinstalling a new version.
PeterJuly 22, 2021 at 2:15 pm #1311486
Ok, perhaps a file was corrupt or the permissions didn’t set correctly while using the Duplicator plugin, typically I’ve had good luck with it, but sometimes things happen.
If reinstalling woocommerce doesn’t help also try replacing the enfold theme files, but please don’t try to overwrite them, fully delete and replace.
Please let us know how it goes.

My apologies. I thought it was the same issue since my Avia builder is also not opening. I started a new one called “Circle of death” #1311506July 24, 2021 at 5:08 am #1312026
