Hi
My Avia layout builder isn’t displaying for my pages. I’ve upgraded to php7 as per a previous post here. I just updated to latest enfold version. Any tips?
Thanks
DJune 23, 2018 at 12:32 pm #976927Hey woahsy,
Can you please include a admin login in the private content area so we can take a closer look.
It appears you are using version 3.1.3, please consider updating to v4.4.1 Did this happen after you updated to PHP v7?Best regards,
MikeJune 23, 2018 at 3:13 pm #976984Hi Mike
I migrated the site from another domain. On the old domain I tried to upgrade Enfold but the site is now showing a 500 internal server error. My web hosts say they can’t see any issue on the server. Are there any known conflicts with plugins, perhaps? Or an Enfold licence issue? (3 sites were live whilst i did the migration but now only 2)Thanks

I will check although that error (500) was on the old domain i was using as a staging site so I’m not worried about that one right now.
On the TMS website, the Avia layout builder isn’t displaying or working for me. Have you seen this issue before?
Thanks
June 23, 2018 at 6:46 pm #977053Hi,
Oh, I see, on the site that is down did you update via ftp? If so, you will need to remove the old theme folder first (wp-content/themes/enfold/) then upload the new enfold folder.
Please don’t try to overwrite the theme folder, as this will leave old files behind, and cause a error. For the site I logged into, I see the builder has this error:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden) /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
Please check that the file permissions are correct and that .htaccess is not protecting the admin folder for security, or the webhost has mod_sec protecting the admin folder.
I also see that your PHP Version is: 5.3.28, you need a minimum of v5.6 this might be the issue with the other site if it is using the same PHP version.Best regards,
MikeJune 23, 2018 at 8:04 pm #977070Hi
OK. File permissions are correct. And the htaccess file has been fixed. Host has also updated to PHP 7.
Now I can’t see any page editing controls in admin?
ThanksJune 23, 2018 at 8:13 pm #977073And the website has disappeared
June 23, 2018 at 9:34 pm #977084Hi,
Do you mean the old domain?
because I can still see the one in the Private Content area.Best regards,
MikeJune 23, 2018 at 9:39 pm #977085Hi
Sorry, the new TMS site disappeared. The hosts changed PHP back to 5.6 and it’s visible again.
But the avia layout builder still isn’t showing. Should I delete the theme folder and reupload?
By the way, when I migrated the site with All-in-One WP Migration plugin – so I didn’t touch FTP.Thanks
June 23, 2018 at 10:22 pm #977092Hi,
Sorry, I’m a little confused, please link to the site we are working on.
I would recommend renaming your theme folder to /enfold-old/ then upload the latest version via ftp to /enfold/ and login to your site and see if all is working correctly, if not delete the new theme folder and rename the old folder back to /enfold/ via ftp.
I assume you are not using a child theme with extra core theme files in it, such as a header.php which may cause issues.Best regards,

My web hosts have recovered the website by restoring an older back up.
Here is what they found:
“The issue looked like the theme was edited using a html editor and this saved the files as HTML rather than plain text format.”
Does that make sense?
Sadly the avia layout builder still doesn’t load so I’m back to square one.
Have started a new hosting account with Siteground to make a duplicate website for troubleshooting. (I hear they’re very good at wordpress support) My current hosts have been very helpful but I need 24/7 support for technical issues and I don’t feel I’m getting it here, despite paying good money.
All login details are in private above

June 24, 2018 at 1:59 pm #977144Hi,
Sorry, the statement doesn’t make sense, but it will be good to see your files and site when it’s on the troubleshooting server.
I see your logins above, and I was able to login to the site & ftp.
This is for the live site, correct? I see it is using PHP v5.3Let us know when you have the troubleshooting server running and the login details for it in the Private Content area, so we can assist with a theme update on it.
Best regards,
MikeJune 24, 2018 at 4:25 pm #977164Hi
I’ve set up the test site. Avia Layout builder is working now. Unfortunately the gallery page isn’t loading though. The hosts have had a look but can’t help.
Details below
Thanks
DamianJune 24, 2018 at 5:24 pm #977167Hi,
Thank you for the site login, I was able to login.
I was not able to login though ftp I used the new IP address and user, but got an error for the password, please check.Best regards,
MikeJune 24, 2018 at 5:49 pm #977170That should work now
SorryJune 24, 2018 at 6:43 pm #977175Hi,
Yes I can login, but it’s an empty ftp directory, please change the allowed directory to “/” in the directory field, it probably has a user name in it right now.Best regards,
MikeJune 24, 2018 at 9:50 pm #977222Ah. I’ve fixed this now.
Thanks!June 24, 2018 at 10:47 pm #977231Hi,
Thank you.
I renamed your enfold theme folder to “enfold-old” and uploaded the enfold v4.4.1
everything seems to be working with no errors including the gallery.
Please check.
If this all works to your satisfaction then delete the “enfold-old” folder, if you want. This seems to point to that you can do the same on your live site as long as the server settings are the same, if I recall correctly you will need to update the PHP version on that server.
Best regards,
MikeJune 25, 2018 at 8:57 am #977332Thanks Mike! Much appreciated! I’ll give that a go.
Cheers
