We’ve been developing a new site for a client and the layout builder is painfully slow to load and save. We sometimes get an error when we save the page/post stating that our connection has been disrupted and saving will continue once the connection is back. Something like that. Our connection at work is fiber and we never actually lose connection to the internet. We can immediately jump into cPanel, test the connection and view the logs which reveal no issues there.

The builder is acting the same across PC and Mac…both of which are using the latest version of Chrome as the browser.

I’ve tried disabling all plugins and this doesn’t seem to improve the issue.

Some pages are worse than others.

    Everything has been optimized.

The front end of the website loads fast.

    Please advise. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I loaded one of your page and it seems average in speed to me, how can we reproduce the error?

    Best regards,

This issue occurs after editing a few pages within the Avia Layout Builder. We have a team of people logged into the site editing different pages at the same time. I’m not sure if the issue is a I/O problem or the builder utilizes too many server resources. We’ve never had this issue before with any layout builder.

Since my last post, I updated the theme files and this helped. However, if we have more than 3 people editing at the same time, the site will go down until the server’s resources go back to within it’s allowed maximum. Before I updated the theme files, the issue would occur with only two people editing at the same time.

Simply viewing the site as a normal viewer (not logged in) is no issue. We can have as many people viewing the site as we want. The server status monitor in cPanel shows that the site is using little resources when no one is logged into the site and editing. The issue only occurs when using the Avia Layout Builder with more than 3 people concurrently, at this time.

    Hi,

I’m not sure how we can help with the issue, but probably much resources is used. Can you try to increase the memory limit: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/
    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    Nikko
