    Hello,

This is a follow-up post and question based on the previous post post-1282549 created about 40 days ago. On the Avia Layout Builder when setting a custom web video at Color Section > Styling > Background Video the aspect ratio 4:3 is respected and the video takes 100% width in that section.

When there is an update on WordPress version or on a plugin it seems that the video width defaults to its actual resolution size and does not take full width in the section. When following the resolution of #post-1282549 mentioned above to activate the option to delete the old CSS and JS files under Enfold->Performance , that solves the issue. However, we use Siteground for hosting and they have a very useful feature that they keep the WordPress version upgraded and all selected plugins updated with their tool so we don’t have to do that manually, and when there is such an update I have to manually activate that option to delete the old CSS and JS files. Is there a more “permanent” way to keep the aspect ratio 4:3 at full width instead of activating that option manually on each update? Thank you in advance for your help.

    Regards,
    Alex

    Hey alexev434832,

You could try disabling file compression under Enfold->Performance, to see that helps. I’m guessing that your optimiser plugin is able to do that on the site anyway? If so, then you won’t need the theme to do it for you.

    Hello Rikard,

Thank you for this suggestion. I disabled it and this fixed the issue. Indeed the optimizer plugin does that for all css and js files.
Do you think another auto-update of WordPress or of a plugin might result in the issue appearing again?

    Regards,
    Alex

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I don’t think any updates should cause this problem again, but I can’t say for sure unfortunately. We’ll leave this thread open for you, in case you should have any further problems.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
