    Hello!
My name is Ahmed AbdulMageed and I work as the film programming coordinator for Mizna, an arts organization in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota.
We had purchased the Angular theme to use on a website to archive our past film festivals, but a couple days ago, the website became inaccessible and gave a message that “There has been a critical error on your website.”
Doing some basic troubleshooting, the problem didn’t seem to arise from any of the plugins on the network site, and when switching to a different WP theme, the website is accessible again.. So it seems like the problem could be within the theme itself?
I know it’s an old theme and unlikely isn’t supported anymore, but any insight into how to solve this would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks a lot!

    Hey Ahmed,

Sorry for the problem. We are not supporting that theme any longer unfortunately, so I would recommend that you switch to a more modern theme as soon as possible. The problem on your site is likely due to the PHP version, do you know which version you are running? If it’s 7.0 or higher, then please try to downgrade it to 5.6, if possible.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Ahmed,

    Thanks for contacting us!

I noticed that you are not using the latest available version of Angular so I attached it in private content field. Could you please update the theme and check if that helps? I hope it does :)

    Regards,
    Yigit

    Hello!

I’m reaching out again to see if you can help us figure out the issue with our website running Angular.
The downgrade to 5.6 fixed the initial problem of having the site completely down, however the current issue is that images of portfolio entries are not loading on the home page or on each portfolio item page. Example: http://miznablog.org/arabfilmfest19/ This loading icon is what keeps showing instead of the images.
Upgrading the version of Angular did not help, since the portfolio items didn’t appear at all.
I’m wondering if you have any idea why the portfolio images are not loading? One thing that I noticed, the portfolio images seem to load fine in the related entries section towards the bottom on the portfolio entry page. Example: http://miznablog.org/arabfilmfest19/2019/opening-night-party/

I understand that the theme is no longer supported and we probably should move to a newer one, but for now any help for a temporary fix would be highly appreciated!!
    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I see some jQuery related errors on the page, but I’m not sure what is causing them, please see private. What happens if you disable all plugins?

    Best regards,
    Rikard
