anchors in menus

I have several pages with “color sections” with specific IDs.

“overview,” “gear,” “directions,” etc.

When I’m in the page I can easily target the sections of the page by creating simple internal links to them i.e.”href=”#overview” etc.

I want to add links to those sections in my mega menu, but WP always re-writes the url, so my link:

page-path/page#overview always gets converted to “page-path/page/”

Any ideas how I can include an anchor in a “link” menu item?
