Hi!
I have been trying to set up and configue the plugin AMP fro WP in order to add AMP to my web but it seems not to work any configuration with the theme.Slider, images and pages are not working on AMP. My home page it only shows some posts but not the page in itself on amp version… and many other problems..
Is it Enfold completely adapted for AMP for WP plugin?… Do you have any guide or tutorial in order to use AMP functionality with Enfold?.
Thank you,
December 4, 2020 at 3:48 pm #1265031Hey Rubén,
Thank you for the inquiry.
The theme is not yet compatible with AMP or does not contain AMP html or markup. Installing AMP extensions may not work completely with the theme because the plugin will not be able to convert all markup or html to the AMP version due to certain restrictions and limitations.
Please check the documentation below for the list of allowed and prohibited html tags.

Honestly, this is pretty unbeliveable and if i did know it, i would not have bought the theme.
it is crucial AMP for a competitive site on mobile searches….
Any plan on when the theme would be compatible?
¡Thanks!
December 8, 2020 at 5:32 am #1265683Hi,
Sorry about that. In the theme overview page on Themeforest, we do not claim that the theme is compatible with AMP, a lot of premium themes are not. Unfortunately, we do not know when will this be added to the theme. Regardless, you should still be able to optimize the site or improve the loading speed even without AMP compatibility by following a few guidelines. Please check the following article for more info about site optimization.

IsmaelDecember 8, 2020 at 5:59 pm #1265792Hi RubenHD,
Just saw this while checking for an issue. AMP is not necessary for competitive mobile searches.
I do not use it and have managed to get enfold sites performing at 90+ in the current Google Lighthouse speed tests – with further improvements to be implemented around fonts and analytics.
AMP is designed to speed up the loading times of blog entries – It is therefore not going to be compatible with all ALB elements in Enfold which add complexity and functions over the standard WP theme. The same applies for most premium WP themes with complex features. AMP normally removes animations and other complexities in order to reduce load times (reducing the size of the AMP CSS files). Its literally what AMP is designed to do.
If you are looking to improve the load times for your site without compromising on the design – try any of the following:
-Update your .htaccess file or use a plugin to ensure features like gzip compression and cache age are set and enabled
-Add a caching plugin and set the cache length to 30 days.
-Compress your images before you upload them
-Enable Lazy Load in the Enfold performance panel and enable all other performance related settings
-Ensure responsive images is turned on in the Enfold performance panel
-Use a CDN – Like Jetpack (Free) or Cloudflare (also free)
-Enable lazyload and image optimisation in jetpack (If enfold is set up correctly it works perfectly)I hope this helps.
