    Hi,
    I’m using Enfold theme. I created on my website a members area and I would like to allow logged users to create portfolio pages.
    They have to be able to upload some pictures, the main one, a short description and select a tag from a list I provide them. After uploading this info, should be created a portfolio page (with tag selected by user and another tag which would be users nick) which I have to approve before pubblishing it.

    Can you suggest me a function inside the theme to do it (if there’s any) or a plugin?

    In general, does Enfold allow logged in users to apload content or create pages/post/portfolio elements?

    Hey tavomenas,
    You can allow users to do this, but they would need to have the role of “Author” which will allow them to create, upload, & publish.
    Since you don’t want them to publish, you should use a plugin such as: User Role Editor

    Hi Mike,
    thank you for fast reply. I’ve created a specific role for members.
    The way you are offering me they would be able to operate through WordPress dashboard, meanwhile I would like them to operate through front-end forms (which I can create with specific plugins or was wondering if Enfold offers someting like that) to write on the database and make the theme display the data in the template I prepare (portfolio post).

    Hi,
    Oh, I see. No Enfold doesn’t have a built-in function for that, did you find a plugin that allows posting from the front end?
    These are the ones I found: Frontend Posting Plugins But I don’t have any experience with them.

    Hi,
    thank you for the link. I was already checking out on one of those plugins. Will read documentation to see if one of them can help me.

    So far I understood all of them are writing in the database. I need to find out how to connect the database and the elements of my “portfolio post template” everytime a user upload the info.

    I would like the uploaded pictures to go in Easy Slider, some text in Special Heading, some in Text Box and in Accordion (Enfold has great tools, so want to be able to use them :) ). Main tag to be selected from cathegories I created and a sub-tag given by user nick.

    Hi tavomenas,

    Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)
