Hi, we use Enfold for multiple websites.
In one case it is used within a subdomain, which is a members area for our participants.
So the pages and its content are being used and I cannot risk losing data.
The problem is: when I want to work on a page, it will load endlessly, so all pages can not be worked on at the moment.
What could I do to be able to work again on the page without losing the data?
I also noticed, that the links show http instead of https. Should I change that? Because there is a SSL certificate active…
Could that have to do with the endless loading?
Thank you,
Vada
Hey Vada,
Sorry for the problem. I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.7.6.3) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Also please make sure that you are running PHP 7.2 or higher on the server.
Best regards,
Rikard
