    Hey Schwarzwaldmaedel,

Sorry for the late reply and for the problem. I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.6.3.1) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.6.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.

Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Thanks Rikard, did the update and it worked well. Also activated the classic editor and deleted the plugin I had installed before.
Unfortunately the update didn’t help with the loading of the site, do you have any other idea what might be the reason? All the other pages are working normal.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I do see a javascript errors on the page but I can’t say for sure exactly what is causing it. Please send us a temporary WordPress admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

No I can’t see any login details in this thread, pleas post them in private and make sure to write something in the public box as well before you post it.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Sorry, hope it works this time

    Hi,

Thanks for that, login details are working now. I can’t see anything strange with your content though. Could you try to enable debug mode in order to see builder shortcodes: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#debug-mode, then copy all the shortcodes to a new page to see if that makes any difference please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

thanks for your patience. Made the debug mode and copied everything. It’s still not working. Now I have found out that it must the something with the contact form. All other elements are shown if I delete the contact form. I tried to set a new form up but with unfortunately the same result, the complete page is disappearing. Currently the new page is online without the form http://www.skiclub-urach.de/mitglied/. The former page I made on the ‘entwurf’ mode. Strange is that the normal contact form under contact is working and shown. Any idea what it can be?

    Best regards

    Hi Sandra,

Thanks for the update. So you’re saying that if a contact form element is added to the page in private then it will stop loading on the backend? Do you mind if we try so that we can reproduce it? Also, is it ok if we remove some unnecessary html markup in your content to check if that might be the problem?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,
yes that is correct. And I would be happy if you try to reproduce it and remove unnecessary html markup.

    Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. I cleaned up the html markup in your content and added a contact form to the bottom of the page and everything seems to be working as it should. Could you have a look at the page in question so that it’s working fine on your end too please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi Rikard, sorry as well from my side for my late response. I checked it and tried to build up the form as it was in the past. What I found out is that the form works as long as it not gets too long. I mean the currently 6 elements are fine but as soon as I add all what I wanted it doesn’t work anymore. In the past it worked perfectly with my 21 elements. Do you think you can do something about it or should I try to find another solution to manage the club registration.

    #1162795

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work with all the elements to be honest with you, does it work if you put only that form on a new page without any other content? If not then maybe you could try to use a dedicated form plugin to see if that works better for you?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

thanks for your feedback. It always stops if I enter more than 8 elements. I will use now a plugin.

    Thanks
    Sandra

    Hi Sandra,

Thanks for the update and sorry again for the problem. Let’s hope using a plugin will work out better, if not then please let us know here.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
