For some reasons, the advanced layout editor has stopped working partly. I don’t want to break anything, so I could not do it myself.

The advanced layout editor still works. However, the part where we make changes on page are different.
Here you can see block to edit directly, instead of thousands of codes like the image above. Yesterday everthing was like this:It is very confusing for me when I edit stuffs.

I have used Enfold quite a lot and I am pretty sure this is not what advanced builder is supposed to beI don’t know why it becomes like that, but normally there is no codes showing up when using Enfold.
Could you please take a look or take a screenshot from your end with the advanced builder enabled?

It is weird, but I have checked all the pages. Homepage is the only page that has this problem (the one that I took this screenshot). I am still trying to find a way to fix. I believe both of you are correct, it works normally on normal pages.
I don’t know what the problem is. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

There’s an obvious reason why the code doesn’t work with Enfold’s advanced layout builder. The code was not created by our advanced layout builder but by the “WPBakery Page Builder” plugin (you’ve deactivated it at the moment). The code of this plugin (also known as “Visual Composer”) won’t work with the advanced layout builder of Enfold and thus the layout builder won’t interpret it and won’t show up. You probably can paste the “Visual Composer” code into advanced layout builder elements (i.e. into a textarea element) however you won’t have a nice guided user interface. If you want to use the advanced layout builder on the front page remove the code, click on the “Advanced Layout Builder” button and build your page from scratch with our template builder.

I don’t know if it’s the same thing, with wordpress 5.1 and the theme 4.4.1 the composer doesn’t work with text blocks …
does not allow me to edit as usual but only shows me the page code as per the screenshot, could you please help me?

Sorry for the problem. Could you try to update to the latest version of the theme to see if that helps please? The update to 4.5 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please delete the old version of the theme, then upload the new one. Make sure that you have backups of the site before you start updating.

After you have updated then please select to use the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.

I have a similar issue now with WordPress 5.2.5 and Enfold-Version 4.6.3.1. The only thing could do was to install the “Classic Editor” plugin which resolves the issue. But that’s not how it’s suppose to work. Any ideas?
