    Hi,
I am experiencing the “spinning wheel” problem, as mentioned in several other topics. I tried everything I could to solve it without success: reinstalling theme, deactivating all plugins, add variables in wp-config.php. Nothing works.
With a new page, I can use Avia editor. But when I come back to an existing page, the editor doesn’t work anymore and shows a spinning wheel.
I give you a code to show you (see below). Try the copyright page (empty, so editor works) and the home page (with content, impossible to modify).
    If you have other ideas…
    Thanks!

    Up :)
Does anyone know why the advanced editor is not working? I can start again with the elements, but when it is updated it is no longer possible to modify the page with the Advanced Layout Editor (Avia Layout Builder): it only displays a spinning wheel.

OK, I tested the same files on another provider and it works. I’ll reinstall (for the 3rd time) the files and tell you if it works.

    Hi,

Sorry for the late reply and the problem. I checked your installation and it looks like you are getting a 403 (forbidden) error on the admin-ajax.php WordPress file. I’m not sure why that is, but it could be related to file permissions on the server where the site is hosted. Did it work on another server? You might want to contact your hosting provider to see if they can tell what is going wrong.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,
Thanks for your answer. I don’t know how to properly use admin-ajax, but if I just called the script with both installations, and the result is the same.
I’ve created the same user on both sites. You can see that if you try to edit the Home page on http://firstsite.tld it shows the Advaced Layout Edtor correctly. But it is no longer possible to edit the same page on https://secondsite.tld
It must be a question of server settings, but which one? I looked at PHP parameters, and although they are slightly different, nothing appears being the blocking element (once again, it is possible to create a page with the editor, it is the update of the page that is impossible).
Do you have a particular idea in mind? I can contact the administrators, but I think I should give them a hint…
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

Maybe this could help you when contacting the hoster: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/please-help-issues-with-saving-anything-on-website/#post-1018958

It seems that some firewall setting is blocking the request.

admin-ajax is called from JavaScript sending requests to the server without reloading the page – therefore it does not make much sense calling it directly.

    Günter

Problem solved! It had something to do with security, indeed: a “Web Application Firewall” was activated, and probably blocking some requests. Deactivating this WAF solved the issue.
    Thanks for your help!

The web site hosting service said they will adapt the firewall to avoid the blocking of the requests. As for me, this topic can be closed. Thanks again!
