Advance Layout Editor isn't working, editing pages is errored - Support

Hi!

I am on the staging environment for the website and it’s acting super bizarre. And it is being very slow on the backend.

1) If you go to edit a page or add a new page, you can’t load the advanced layout editor
2) if you duplicate an existing page or try to edit an existing page, nothing loads. you don’t see anything in the builder except for white code

now if i click on the gallery page and try to edit, it doesn’t even load.

i def did some damage

Hi,

You are running a very old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version to see if that helps please? The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the theme folder, then install the new one after that. Please make sure to have backups of the site before updating.

Hi,

Great, I’m glad you got it working and sorry for the problem. Automatic updates should work normally from now on if you have added a token to the backend of the theme.
