    Hello,
    can you please tell me:
how can I adress the fb and ig buttons in the headerline in order to change the font color and size by using css?

I tried it, but I wasn’t able to do it correctly. :-/

AND: How can I put the widgets in the right sidebar, when I use a color section to structure the content?

    Kind regards,
    Kati

    Hey Katja,

Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling:

    #header_main .social_bookmarks li a:before {
      color: red;
      font-size: 10px;
    }

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hey Rikard,

thank you very much! It works!

Have you any idea what to do with the sidebar issue in my post? I edited the question some hours ago…

    Best regards,
    Kati

    Hi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

You may need to use the Widget Area element in the Advanced Layout Builder to display widgets in the content area. If you need to separate the widgets from your content and replicate the default layout of pages with a sidebar, use the Column elements.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hello Ismael,

    thank you for the reply.

I never used this and to be honest: I don’t know how it works. I try to help myself.

Now I tried, but it didn’t work, because this is not what I want. Please, take a look on the site (link in private data).

And a new problem: the events calender section as a widget on the right doesn’t use the font and styling as the rest of the site. How can I fix this in a short time? The site has to go live next week. Thank you for your help.

    Best regards,
    Kati

    Hi,
Thanks for the link to your post, when you use a color section it is full width so it pushs the sidebar down, so try adding a column in your color section with the widget element in it and then hide the sidebar on the post, if you wish we can adjust the post that you linked to this way so you can see, if you include a admin login in the Private Content area.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

    thanks for the reply.

Oh, ok. I didn’t know, but now I unterstand that.

When you could adjust it that way, it would be great. I will learn from it I hope…

    Best regards,
    Kati

    Hi,
I added another column with the widget element and disabled the sidebar for that page:
    Enfold_Support_4749.jpeg
    please check

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

thank you. Ok, now the sidebar is there, but it doesn’t begin at the top of the page. Take a look at the start page and this page, then you will see it.

And a second thing I really didn’t see before: the sidebar is missing in the mobile version. But it should be there. How can I fix that?

    Best regards,
    Kati

    #1434681

    Hi,
Perhaps your page should not use the color section, I adjusted please check.
By default the sidebar is hidden for mobile, I enabled this for you in the theme settings:
    Enfold_Support_4752.jpeg

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
thank you! Now it looks good. :-)

I wanted to align the elements as they are shown now. But I couldn’t do it with the “usual” content elements and so I tried the color section – and it worked.

If you know how to align the elements WITHOUT color section, please show me in a new site. Name it “no-color section” so that I can find it. I really tried about an hour and had to built the page 2 times…

    Best regards,
    Kati

    Hi,
I did this for you already on the page that you linked to, please check, there is no color section.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
ah, yes – I saw it.

The thing is: I need the possibility to sort new content by drag and drop. Take a look on the linked site and you will see why…

I need a box around every entry. And I only could do it with the color sections. Is there another way?

    Best regards,
    Kati

    Hi,
Do you mean drag and drop in the backend? When you add new content won’t it go to the bottom? If you need to add something to the middle you can still drag more items there, it won’t be as handy as a color sections, but since you want to show the sidebar this seems like the best solution.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #1434712

    Hi,
yes, drag & drop in the backend.

Yes, new content is aligned at the bottom. But I used to structure the color section to make it more easy for my client to handle the content. The color section was a perfect box to contain the heading, the pdf file and the download link in a beautyful and easy to use way…

Do you know a good method to have it all in one object?

    Best regards,
    Kati

    #1434715

    Hi,
Unfortunately not, columns can not be nested and the color section will force the sidebar to the bottom.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hello again,

there must be a solution with CSS. I can’t image that is something that is not fixable in a comfortable way… Please, think again. It must be easy for my customer. I told him enfold is great – and I know it is…

    Best regards,
    Kati

    Hi,
Perhaps I misunderstand, I thought that you were talking about grouping the items in the backend editor, like this group of items in the color section in a red box:

    (moved to private field)

As I understand we are not talking about the frontend view, that you are happy with, now it is only the backend in the editor, correct?

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

    sorry, I don’t understand your question. :-/

And very important: can you please remove this screenshot due to the problem of showing my testing area? Or make the domain not readable, please. Thank you. ;-)

    Best regards,
    Kati

    Hi,

We’ve moved the screenshot to the private field. Would you mind providing a screenshot or a short clip of what you’re trying to do?

Have you tried using the Templates or the CET features? Please check the documentation below for more info.

    // https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#templates
    // https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/custom-element-templates/

    Hi Ismael,

thanks for your reply. The ALB is known, but the CUSTOM ELEMENT TEMPLATES not. I don’t understand this part. When I have a lot more time, I will try again, but for now, I have to finish the project asap.

Here in the screenshots how the frontend should look like and what I need in the backend: for my customer it is very helpful to have the content in color sections. Whenever it is neccessary to sort the content in a different way, it is easily done. Without the color section, it takes too much time…

Any ideas how to have both?

    Best regards,
    Kati

    Hi,

    Thank you for the screenshots.

Have you tried switching the builder to fullscreen? This should provide you with ample space to navigate the builder and make it easier to drag and drop elements across the editing area. Unfortunately, there is no option to group elements and drag/drop them together. You’ll find the Fullscreen button next to the Templates button.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #1434866

    Hello Ismael,

when the site uses fullscreen and the custom widget, it doesn’t start at the top. Perhaps you have an idea how it can be aligned on top by CSS?
    Link below… ;-)

    Kind regards,
    Kati

    #1434959

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

The page is not loading on our end, and it doesn’t seem to exist.

when the site uses fullscreen and the custom widget, it doesn’t start at the top

What do you mean? Please provide a screenshot using Savvyify, Imgur, or Dropbox.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

sorry, I had to restructure this part yesterday – new link below…

    Best regards,
    Kati

    #1435088

    Hi,

    Thank you for the link.

The column containing the Widget Area is being pushed down by the Special Heading element. You need to place the Special Heading element inside the content column or the adjacent column, beside the one containing the Widget Area.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
