I’ve updated enfold to 3.5.3 and WordPress to 4.5. I also use the WordFence Security plugin and it is current as well.
I use enfold on a bunch of client sites. On my homepages I have either the advanced Layer Slider or a Full-Width Easy Slider and a bunch of columns with text blocks and images. Pretty standard stuff. When I click to edit my homepage, the Advanced Layout Builder just sits and spins and doesn’t load any content for editing.
I deactivated all my plugins and have discovered that it is when the WordFence plugin is activated, the ALB malfunctions.
The strange thing is that this seems to only be happening on my homepage and not the other pages.
Anyone experiencing similar?
Hi there
Since the last Enfold, WordPress and Wordfence update I have had some issues with my websites that I have designed using the Logo and Main Menu – Left Sidebar option. the main content isn’t centering even though I have that option selected in the Content Alignment – Centre Content.
the sites I haven’t dont the updates too are working fine – so I dont want to update them – which isn’t good.
Cheers
Hi,
the last Wordfence version, broken the theme Enfold, i have try several times and configuration also disable or delete.
Time line:
– Upgrade WordPress to 4.5, work.
– Upgrade Enfold to the last version 3.5.2, work.
– Upgrade Wordfence to last version, broken theme.I have been to several installations and changing the process, the result is the same, Wordfence breaks the theme Enfold.
Would you please test and fix ? I posted the same in Wordfence support, hoping that both reach a solution.
Regards
P.S
I have been trying to trace a problem with a plugin needing an update. WordPress tells me there is one, but doesn’t identify it. I’ve traced it down to the Enfold theme.
WP tells me that the theme is up to date. I’ve manually uploaded the latest theme package. Nothing makes a difference.

I found many pagination questions in the forum but none that address my specific issue. I’ve included a private link to my site where pagination won’t advance to the next page in the blog, it keeps reloading to the first page of posts. It is placed there using the advanced editor as Blog Posts placed into a Page. I’ve tried different Permalink settings, fiddled with other pagination suggestions I found but nothing so far has had any effect. WordPress, all plugins and Enfold are all updated to latest versions. The site uses Wordfence basic caching but neither on or off seems to make no difference. The posts being called run in a custom post type created with the Custom Post Type UI plugin by WebDevStudios.
Thank you for taking a look!
Dear Team,
We are once again getting virus at /tmp directory .
We have installed wordfence for security reasons.
The files which are being created having same content as shown below. We want to know why php*.txt files are being created outside public html folder of our website. We also want to disable the creation of these files immediately.
1)php9Hs9qH.txt which is having content as”rchive: php9Hs9qH
Length Date Time Name
——– —- —- —-
0 02-02-16 22:43 revslider/
3908 05-28-15 01:03 revslider/up.php
——– ——-
3908 2 files”
2)phpajlu3R.txt which is also having same content as above
3)phpb5vzFF.txt which is also having same content as point no 1
4)phpbjmUP7.txt which is also having same content as point no 1
5) phpc5xov0.txt which is also having same content as point no 1
6)phpCZa9JI.txt which is also having same content as point no 1
7) phpEePkFy.txt which is also having same content as point no 1
8) phpgG0bO9.txt which is also having same content as point no 1
9)phpjpbwV5.txt which is also having same content as point no 1
10)phpW12sdC.txt which is also having same content as point no 1Hello,
My site broke a month ago due to either caching plugin, minify, and or security while using enfold theme.
I will assume it was due to a minify or similar. Site was really slow so had to do something.Please be aware, I’m just learning stuff and not very experienced at all this yet.
1) With that said, if I use BWP minify plugin what plugin for cache should I use with enfold as I have seen both listed here on the forum.
Better WordPress Minify with WP Super Cache or w3 total cache? Which is better for compatibility?2) Also, what security plugin works best least likely to break enfold with those plugins that you might name?
I would like to use free version of wordfence.I had a nice site and it breaking was a lot of work down the drain for a only slightly knowledgeable WordPress person.
3) Finally, if I have to edit the function.php with the following code where in the function.php do I add it?:
Add this on functions.php if you install the BWP Minify plugin:
Begin code:add_filter(‘bwp_minify_style_ignore’, ‘exclude_my_css’);
function exclude_my_css($excluded)
{
$excluded = array(‘avia-custom’, ‘avia-layout’);
return $excluded;
}End code;
This will exclude layout.css and custom.css, two of the css files that usually breaks the site when included on the compression.The site is being rebuilt from scratch so not much on it yet.
So please provide:
I will need a common practice for each site I use enfold on…
The safest least risk but best speed.
So please detail the steps and how to do it for best effect on any wordpress site that I will be using enfold on…
Security plugin
minify plugin
cache plugin.I will of course follow another post i found on forum for optimizing images too.
I will probably NOT use a cdn.thank you in advance…
TinaHi, I recently updated to Version: 3.4.6 and have been experiencing some issues on WP servers.
When i use the Enfold Wp theme i get the following error messages and also can’t access the Wp admin or domain page, just get the error page.
error messages:

Hello, I run WP (Current version) with Enfold theme hosted on Go Daddy and use Wordfence plugin. It worked fine until the last couple wordfense updates. Now I have no “live traffic” for humans only bots show up. Also most wordfence links do not work now.
Wordfence works properly if I change to 2015 theme. Below is what wordfense had to say about it. Please help.“Usually issues with the links at the bottom of the options page are caused by the site’s theme. If the theme handles requests before the normal time, it “takes over” any links that have a query string like “yoursite.com/?somequery=value”
The live traffic is also probably affected by the theme. We did have a change a few versions ago, to work with some new changes Google had implemented in crawling, and it also uses query strings for this tracking. Some themes also ignore the built-in “wp_head”, which can cause only the live traffic issue, but this is less common.
Usually theme authors can fix this if you ask about it. If you need to confirm that this is the issue before contacting the theme’s author, you can try temporarily switching to a theme like “twentyfifteen”, which handles these in the normal way. (Past visits on Live Traffic won’t be affected, but if you can visit the site in a different browser where you are not logged in, you should see those visits logged as humans if it is working.) ”
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
