    Oh gosh it’s even more of a mess than I realised!
    The plugins we have activated are:

    GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent Banner
    Official StatCounter Plugin
    Post Duplicator
    Redirection
    Search Exclude
    Shortcoder
    Wordfence Security
    WP Mail SMTP
    Yoast SEO

    My client wanted to move from a hosting company they didn’t like to the same local one that does her emails. I felt they were out of their depth as there is no longer a control panel for me to access like Plesk or C-panel making things even more difficult.

    I suggested buying and installing a SSL certificate and the new hosting man agreed. Hopefully this will fix things?

    Hello Ismael! The option to update the theme via the wordpress dashboard worked perfectly and all component are loading correctly…thanks for that!

    On the other hand, now when I try to get into the home page and edit it via the “Advanced Layout Builder” I get prompted with a pop-up message that says: Background request blocked Wordfence firewall blocked a background request to WordPress for the URL /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php. If this occurred as a result of an intentional action, you may consider allowing the request to allow it in the future.

    Being the options to continue (1) Add the action to the allowed list (2) Discard.

    When I follow option (2), the advanced layout builder stays just loading and I cannot edit anything. Could this be related to the new enfold version?

    I’m trying to understand if there is a link to polyfill.io somewhere in the theme but couldn’t find it.
    The only hint I could find is that the plugin OpenStreetMap may be affected.

    Topic: Replaced live version of site with staging version….Footer Page does not show

    Using All In One WP Migration, I replaced my live site with my staging site.
    Everything converted exactly as expected except the page designated as Footer in Enfold Child Theme Options.
    I’ve compared every single option for all Enfold settings and they are identical.
    All plugins are the same, however some were removed on the live site.
    WordFence and MailSMTP are not activated on the live site because I didn’t have them on the Staging site.
    I did notice that the live site has a header.php listed for the Child Theme, where the staging site does not. Since the issue is Footer, I’m not sure this matters.

    Hey GWS,
    When I click the “load more” button I see the error “/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 403 (Forbidden)” in the browser console. I also see a reference to “WordFence” have you tried disabling all of your plugins, including WordFence? Check your WordPress ▸ Dashboard ▸ Tools ▸ Site Health ▸ Info ▸ Server that your PHP max input variables is set to 10000.
    Also try setting your Max input time to 120 and your PHP memory limit to 768M
    Perhaps uping your WordPress Constants WP_MEMORY_LIMIT to 64M and changing your Database Max connections to 1000 will also help. These are the settings that I have on my test site.
    A admin-ajax.php 403 (Forbidden) can be caused by many issues, such as if mod_security is enabled on the server, try asking your webhost if it is, and to disable it as a test. It could also be caused by incorrect file permissions or a Corrupt .htaccess file. Please see this article for common fixes.

    Please provide an update on the LayerSlider SQL injection vulnerability.
    From the CVE, “This vulnerability allows unauthenticated threat actors to inject malicious SQL queries to steal sensitive information from the database.”

    Thanks for your patience.

    It sounds like a security solution on your server/website might be falsely flagging LayerSlider as harmful. If you’re using a security plugin such as WordFence, please try putting it into the learning mode. If you’re not using a security plugin, please contact your hosting provider and let them know about the issue so they can check the logs.

    Thanks, I was able to remove the Enfold theme and then I could login into your site, and I disabled all of your plugins, then I tried to upload a new version of the theme and I got a 406 server error:
    Not Acceptable
    An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server.
    This may be caused by Mod_Security on your server.
    I removed the theme again and noted some Wordfence code in your .htaccess file:

    since I had disabled all of the plugins I thought that this was causing an issue so I removed it and tried to upload the theme again but got the same error and I was booted out of FTP, I think I was banned by Mod_Security. See if your host can disable Mod_Security and then we can try uploding the theme again.
    I have not seen this issue before, perhaps you could also try creating a new subdomain and a new plain WordPress install and try installing Enfold there.

    I am pretty sure the issue with the custom login plugin was because I was messing with the htaccess file. Its working again.
    I did test disabling the mod security and that did not work. below is the error log if you can see anything there that stands out. I notice the ini_set errors and thought that was odd. and the fatal error for allowed memory, but that could be from my testing. The ini_set error is listed in the other sites too.

    Update:

    I figured this out. It was not an Mac-issue, but an issue with the editor-role and Wordfence. files were not loaded on specific pages due to wordfence. After disabling Wordfence the issue was gone.

    Thanks a lot, I tried every thing to my best knowledge.

    1. Imagify deactivated – picture not visible with animation on
    2. Wordfence deactivated – picture not visible with animation on
    3. WP Rocket secured Modus (no lazy load etc.) – picture not visible with animation on
    4. WP Rocket completely deactivated – picture not visible with animation on
    5. MyStickyElement deactivated – picture not visible with animation on
    6. Enfold Performance CSS & Javascipt options deactivated – picture not visible with animation on

    All changes are on additionally. So step 2 is done with step 1 deactivated. After no change I reactivated all setting back. By the way lazy load in WP is deactivated. The animation is left on for testing.

    Any other idea?

    The text color is white I’m not sure why, I think it’s from a plugin, you seem to also have HTML code in your text fields, this may have happened if you copied text from somewhere else and pasted it, this could have added unclosed HTML tags into your page, I believe in a older thread you were having problems with broken HTML code like this.
    To change the text to black so you can see it try creating a new WP Code snippet with this code:

    Hi,
    Are you using a plugin like WordFence? This plugin has an option to hide the theme editor. Enfold doesn’t have an option to hide the theme editor so try disabling all of your plugins to see if that helps.

    When I switch to a different theme – in this case twenty-twenty, the issues are resolved (with plugins activated, not disabled).

    I understand the problem, but I am very concerned about the security of my clients’ websites.

    In the past it was no problem for Enfold support to log in with a WordFence 2FA code. I think the codes I gave you had expired so I created new 2FA codes for you (see private content)
