Having more control of the Featured Image would be great
At the moment you can not set a particular size for the Featured image so that on a post with fullwidth you are stuck with a giant image instead of being able to select one that could be less tall. The feature image works very well for thumbnails on other pages referencing the article/post but if lets say you want the featured image at the top of a fullwidth post to be a particular height for example you must remove the featured image and add an image manually and it will be below the meta infos meaning you have to modify the js to make ALL images on fullwidth to be a certain size.
The best solution would be a featured image for thumbnails references on other page and a customizable featured image on the post/page itself so one could decide what should be the width and height or have the same options to pick the options from 80×80 to fullsize.
At the moment the only solution I found was to remove the giant size image at the top of the fullwidth layout and reference a custom field that points to the image to be picked up. That gives way more control of what the size of the featured image should be for each post/page and it also leaves the Featured image to still be used on other pages.
I hope this makes sense :)
The ticket closed, again.
I did not have a chance to explain that I think there is a misunderstanding to what I was asking for. I am asking for a Known Issues that is only updated by you. It would not be filled with lots of posts, just the ones of most importance, almost like a FAQs. Because it would only be updated by you, it would be clean, clear and keep us all up to date without asking the same questions over and over again.
and is it topsecret what file generates the view of a portfolio item IF the advanced laypot builder is used??
Or what reasons do you have to make it so darn complicate for a customer to find through your theme???
Hey!
Since this question is spread out over a couple of topics at this point I’ll do a quick sum of everything and hopefully answer this as a once and for all encompassing answer.
You can disable the google fonts by choosing no custom font from that dropdown. Right now, the drop down only accepts google fonts because thee isn’t a case or a check for anything else. I’ll add the idea as a feature request to the feature request topic for other font integration options its just that pulling in a custom google font was generally the most requested feature before this theme.
So for right now, you can set the font choice to no custom font to disable google fonts. Then, use another plugin to load in your custom font choice either using TypeKit or something like @font-face.
I know its not ideal or completely integrated but Kriesi is trying to add features as quickly as possible to keep up with demand and so far there have been some big huge major feature additions since theme release and there will continue to be more to keep it getting more awesome :)
Regards,
Devin
I’m not sure there is a good solution. The few times I’ve opened up offical bug topics for major WordPress releases or WooCommerce release to try and keep everything together it ends up being pretty messy with half of the users posting “bugs” or re-posting the same bug without reading the initial post that has an updated list of bugs.
This update cycle has been extremely delayed right now but typically Kriesi was releasing an update every other week if not every week to keep bug fixes needed to a minimum.
I’ll bring it up to Kriesi however since he has the final say on these things anyway.
Hey!
Please add following code to Quick CSS as well
#top .header_color .main_menu .menu ul li>a { color: #666666; }
#top .header_color .main_menu .menu ul li>a:hover { font-weight: bold; }
That “trim” takes the width of main menu item. You can replace that code to the following one and it should be active only on that particular menu item
#menu-item-885 .avia-menu-fx { width: 85%; }
Cheers!

Hey!
You are welcome! Glad we could help :)
You can request features for Enfold in here anytime https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-feature-requests/ and Kriesi would consider it along with our head of support Peter.
Let us know if you have any other questions or issues
Cheers!

Hey!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab
#top #wrap_all .avia-gallery-1 .avia-gallery-thumb a {
width: auto;
}
Cheers!

Hi!
I think how you have it now is probably the closest you’ll get to that kind of a layout. The header needs to have some kind of background if you are going to use the fixed header (where it floats on top of the content when you scroll down).
If you find other elements that you need to remove the background from specifically we can assist with the css for those.

Devin

Hey!
Please try deactivating all active plugins and check if that helps

According to one of your mods this should be possible.
But isnt:
[av_content_slider heading='' columns='1' animation='slide' navigation='arrows' autoplay='false' interval='5']
[av_content_slide title='Slide 1' link='' linktarget='']
[av_icon_box icon='ue800' font='entypo-fontello' position='top' title='IconBox Title' link='' linktarget='']
Click here to add your own text
[/av_icon_box]
[/av_content_slide]
[av_content_slide title='Slide 2' link='' linktarget='']
[av_icon_box icon='ue800' font='entypo-fontello' position='top' title='IconBox Title' link='' linktarget='']
Click here to add your own text
[/av_icon_box]
[/av_content_slide]
[/av_content_slider]
RESULT:

I understand your thoughts on Known Issues, but respectfully disagree that waiting for an update is sufficient. Sometimes, if you do not frequent these forums and judging from host fast it cycles, it is near impossible to see if an issue may actually be a bug, even if temporary.

Okay i found the fontsize, but now the spacing is still off, I used the following in the custom.css to get the font smaller; but what do i need to set for the spacing ?
#top #header .mega_menu_title a { font-size: 12px; min-height: 8px;}
Example of the issue (screenshot) : http://www.prtsc.nl/clip/040Image-500012013×1000150001-52-i001.png

Hi Delphiine!
Ahh, I see what you mean now that the word issue has been cleared up. I was very confused originally. It looks like the topic got closed automatically for some reason but that isn’t really possible with that element. You could probably use a single image or a Easy Slider element for the large image and then for the smaller thumbnails use the Logo/Partner element which lets you define a link for each image.
Best regards,
Devin
Hey!
Please add this on your custom.css or Quick CSS:
.avia-builder-widget-area {
position: relative;
display: block;
z-index: 0;
clear: both;
padding-top: 20px;
}

Hello — I am wondering if there isa anyway to control the image size in the product slider. I have an image that is getting cut off on the top and bottom

Hey mhiller!

}

Hi!
Please use this:
#top .title_container .main-title a {
display: none;
}
.title_container .breadcrumb {
font-size: 13px;
}
Best regards,

In Masonry, there is a field in the form for filling out the alt attribute for each img. However, the alt text is not rendered in the source code.
Visit here: http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold
Viewing the browser’s source code echoed by masonry_entries.php, the first Iphone thumbnail in the upper left corner renders this:
<div class="av-masonry-image-container" style="background-image: url(https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/files/2013/04/dash-iphone2.jpg);">
<img alt="" title="" src="http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/files/2013/04/dash-iphone2.jpg">
</div>
Q1. Since I’m filling the alt text in the Masonry form, how do I get masonry_entries.php to render the alt text in the final HTML that’s seen in the browser? It’s not there.
I need the alt text for numerous reasons. Site development is on localhost here, so I do not have a site online for you to visit. It is irrelevant because my code is identical to the code above.
You have a hack that gets the “title” attribute to render in the HTML here:
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/display-media-item-title-in-the-lightbox/
It works great.
Q2. Can you duplicate this for the alt attribute?
There is no function in masonry_entries.php that retrieves the alt text from what I can see. Is there another function inside another file that retrieves it. At the bottom of the URL link above, Dude indicates that the alt text is retrieved by default for the lightbox captions in Masonry. Where and how does it do that in the source code?
Thanks for your help.
Hey solarmediapro!
We only close items that are completed items. Unfortunately its something we really do have to do otherwise we get years old topics coming up and then it starts a chain of old outdated support getting seen as being a recent bit of advice or fix.
There are some topics that get auto-closed from a yet unknown bug but so far its been only a handful of posts.
Regards,
Devin
