    I’ve installed the latest version of wordpress and the enfold theme but I am getting a series of error messages at the top of the browser window when i view the site:

    ———————————————————————————

    Followed by the expected site content, which is just the default content until I get this situation resolved, after the content I get more error messages. I searched through the forum and see that this has come up a few times but I cannot see a definitive answer as to what causes it other than it’s a hosting problem and to contact your host. I contacted my host who have come back and told me “it’s a programming problem alter your code”. Can you provide me any more detail as to the exact cause of the problem or what needs to be done in order to put this right.

    Currently the site can be viewed here: http://tonywilson.eu/wordpress/

    Thank You

    Hey Ben!

    Please try adding following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab

    #header_meta { top: -40px; }
    #header_main { margin-top: -40px; border-top: solid black 40px; }
    #header_main .social_bookmarks { top: -20px; right: 46% }
    .header_color .social_bookmarks a { color: white; }

    This will move header meta out of the screen and add the same looking border to header and center icons right above logo so there will not be z-index issue

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi there,

    Is it possible to have the social Icons above the logo in the header in the header_meta_container?

    On this website it would be all the way in the top in the black part above the logo..

    http://videyou.nu/wp/

    Thanx!!!

    Ben
    ps: I’d like to change the colours of the social icons then as well :-)

    Hey!

    Please paste inside the containe, right after this one:

    do_action('avia_meta_header');
                            echo '</nav>';
                        ?>

    Give it a unique css selector:

    <a class="hyperlink-header"href="http://www.hyperlink.com" target="_blank">
    <img src="partner.png" width="45" height="6" alt="Partner-Name">
    </a>

    Let us know if you already make this changesso that we can proceed. Please post a screenshot of what you’re trying to do. We will help you with the adjustments.

    Thanks for your posts and help.

    This works fine, if you keep the layout of the template. My problem was to have a complete different design than the template layout (customers wishes :( ) And the layout had to look like an existing page and than reach the theme layout by links. Sounds confusing, and it is.

    So I tried by insert the html code like you described, and then used the page template “blank, no header no footer”. But this caused problems. For example, I couldn’t change the background color, it still used the theme background, and although I used the blank template, the browser showed a white bar at the top and the bottom, with a slight line as a border. And when I looked into the source code, there are so many codes mixed, it makes me feel unsafe, what happens in the background.

    My solution: I used a full page slider and designed the page with graphipcs as a landing page. Took me a little work, but it works fine now.

    I hope, this helps for somebody.

    Hey Jack!

    In WordPress dashboard, please go to Appearance > Editor and open Header.php file and find

    do_action('avia_meta_header');
                            echo '</nav>';
                        ?>
                      </div>

    and add your code right under it. It would be better if you add it into a div tag with a custom class, so you can style it afterwards

    Cheers!

    Hey rezolution!

    First open js/avia.js and replace line 1184:

    position:'top'             //top or bottom

    By this:

    position:'bottom'             //top or bottom

    Then add this to the Quick CSS:

    .avia-tooltip .avia-arrow-wrap {
        bottom: 45px !important;
    }
    .avia-tooltip .avia-arrow {
        top: 15px !important;
    }

    Topic: bbPress 2.5 error?

    in forum Enfold

    Hi,

    After updating bbPress to version 2.5 it doesn’t work as it used to.

    1.) When clicking your profile picture (in the bbPress login widget), you used to go to your own profile with a menu bar on top to view your stats and edit your profile. But with bbPress 2.5, when you click on your profile picture you only go to your profile page with information about your Role, Posts created and Posts replied to. (yoursite.com/forums/users/username/)

    2.) Also, when on your own profile page, and the edit page, you can click your own picture but it links to your own profile page, where you already are.

    3.) Another thing is the styling on your profile page. It shows a big line around the picture that shouldn’t be there. Screenshot here on dropbox.

    4.) I also used a text link below the logout button to change your profile (yoursite.com/forums/users/username/edit/). After the update the text displays directly behind the logout button, so it’s not visible anymore. Screen on dropbox 2.
    I created a topic on the bbPress forum: Here.

    Can anyone help me with this?
    Problems 1, 2 and 3 aren’t a real problem, but now you can’t change your profile when clicking on your picture problem 4 really needs to be solved.

    Many many thanks!
    Regards,
    Michael

    Hi elcetera!

    You are choosing to display menu as mega menu. You can apply such structure to your menu items to display all as regular sub menu items http://i.imgur.com/bPEan5Z.jpg
    or you can add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab

    #top #header .avia_mega_div > .sub-menu {
    padding: 5px 15px 15px;
    }

    These are default values, you can adjust it to decrease the width of mega menu sub menu items

    Thanks! – So there is a question:
    When we originally asked how to change the size in the main navigation you gave this:
    .main_menu ul:first-child > li > a { font-size: 14px; }

    2. In your support we additionally found this for the main navigation (which also works):
    #top .main_menu ul.menu li > a { font-size: 14px; }

    what is the difference?

    3. now you have given this for the drop down menu (It works nicely without changing the additional navigation – thanks! (non-fixed header with additional navigation))
    #top .main_menu .menu li ul a { font-size: 14px; }

    is 2. ok to use or is there a cleaner script?

    It would be great if you would post a list of the main css elements so we can leave you in peace for more complex issues.
    sometimes inspecting the elements does not work so easily.

    Hi, is it possible to modify the base.css in a child theme rather than just override it? I want to modify: bold indicates modification
    78: #top h1 a, #top h2 a, #top h3 a, #top h4 a, #top h5 a, #top h6 a { font-weight: inherit; text-decoration: none; color: inherit; border-bottom:0; }
    121: a:hover, a:focus, a:visited { outline: 0; border-bottom:1px dotted;}

    as you can see these mods are applied in sequence, and the following cascade also is in effect – just overriding them doesn’t work.

    I have tried to make a new enfold-child/css/base.css file in my child theme and copy the entire enfold/css/base.css content into it, then modify it as needed – but it doesn’t work.

    Is there a way to do this?

    The css fix works and is in place now.

    The HR is white because of the css you have in your Quick CSS.

    The advanced layout editor is not in any other theme and so no, you would not have seen it anywhere else :)

    No theme in the world allows you to see the raw html of the page because WordPress doesn’t work like that. This is why the second tab of the visual editor was renamed from “HTML” to “Text’ because it wasn’t actually the html for the page.

    You can save pages as templates in the top right of the advanced layout editor and you can use regular shortcodes by clicking on the magic wand if you want to not use the advanced layout editor on just use the visual editor like a traditional theme would.

    You can also turn on the debug field to show the raw output of the advanced layout editor following the directions here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/export-theme-settings-and-templates/#post-121115 . Just be careful since you are saving the data directly to the database and if you make a mistake when editing the data in that field there is a chance you could break the layout of the page completely.

    Hi michasvision!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab

    .page-id-2666 .content { padding-top: 0; }

    You just need to change page ID on your particular page. For more info, please see https://kriesi.at/support/topic/mini-heading-in-page/#post-188120
    If that does not work, please post the link to your website

    Cheers!
