    Hi,

    Great, I’m glad that we could help. Please let us know if you should need any further help on the topic, or if we can close it.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Dear forrestbuzz,

    your version is more than one year old: July 26th 2023 – Version 5.6.5

    I would upload manually newest enfold via ftp, rename the older to enfold_old, use the newest enfold and take a look, does all working fine in front- and backend, play around with the PHP versions and clear the cache.
    see also https://kriesi.at/support/topic/updating-from-3-8-5/
    cheers

    In reply to: Updating from 3.8.5

    Hey Anne,

    The update to 6.0.3 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or upload the theme as if it was new under Appearance->Themes->Add New Theme.
    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
    Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    Hi Mike,

    1. I saw the search icon on the burger menu on all kinds of different screen sizes and resolutions, and after a few cache purges and a few days.
    For your question – mine is 1536 x 864

    And I’m rewriting the other 2 questions I have:

    2. Regarding the burger menu:
    When the menu is closed, I would like for the container background to be – #8c8c8c and the burger menu itself to be #ffffff
    and when the menu is open the container background should be #ffffff and the – X should be #8c8c8c.
    so I used the code you gave me and I added padding on the left and right and didn’t use this code=line: line-height: 40px;
    but the pudding does not fit into the container no matter what I tried it either too small on the right or it’s too big on the left –

    https://img.savvyify.com/image/Screenshot-2024-08-13-005948.9rpaf

    3. I would like the menu links inside the burger menu to be in this color – #92B743. I’ve tried changing it in advanced styling, but nothing has changed on the desktop and mobile views.

    Thank you so much for all the help

    Sorry the issue here is the hook above never used to load on shop pages. It now loads on all pages which is causing the button I would normally load on the shop to not work because both filter news and filter products buttons are visible.

    Can we get a new hook that only adds a widget area to the Blog in the same way that the before shop look adds a widget area before the products in the shop?

    This is quite urgent see this post for context: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/hook-to-add-widget-area-above-blog-loop/

    Hey Bettonville,

    Thanks for the login details. I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (6.0.3) to see if that helps please? Hi,
    I have another question about a closed thread. Here is the link:

    According to the snippet I have another question.
    Is it possible:
    1. label the colored bar?
    2. to link the colored bar?
    If so, do both go together?

    I now need this for another website.

    Thank you and best regards, Daniela

    Hi Rikard,

    the sidebar widget displays the events from top to bottom. This makes the whole page very long, as I want to display all events for this year.

    The Blog Entry element displays the entries from left to right but it either shows date and text excerpt or nothing. I want the events to be displayed like they are in the sidebar widget (with title, date, place) but in the order of the blog entry element.

    I hope this is understandable as I cannot provide any screenshots.

    Thanks a lot
    Daniela

    Hey Martin,

    Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling:

    #top div.container .av-masonry .av-masonry-sort {
      margin-bottom: 30px;
    }

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

    Great, I’m glad that @guenni007 could help you out. Please let us know if you should need any further help on the topic, or if we can close it.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

    actually the flag thing didn’t work – it only hid the active language.

    Would you mind adding the css code again or providing the login details in the private field? We checked the page, but the css code is not applied, so we’re not able to see the issue.

    If you have any additional questions at this time we kindly ask that you open them up in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    how did you embed Google Tag Manager?

    there is a phrase

    <!– End Google Tag Manager –>
    Add this to the <body> section:
    <!– Google Tag Manager (noscript) –>

    have a look if you have made some transfer errors on : https://kriesi.at/support/topic/adding-google-tag-manager-script-to-the-site/#post-1447012

    if you used that – the noscript version should also be in the head section and not inside body tag.

    So have a look inside your functions.php ( child-theme ?)

    Hello

    My site suddenly has text in the top left corner that says “Add this to the section:” I have no clue why this would suddenly appear.
    The site is running on the latest theme version. Do you have any ideas on how I can fix this?

    Thanks
    B

    Hi,
    To have a sticky sub-menu on your desktop with the burger menu, and on your mobile without the sticky header, Try adding this code to the end of your child theme functions.php file in Appearance ▸ Editor:

    function desktop_burger_menu_sub_menu_sticky() { ?>
    <script>
    window.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', function() {
      (function($){
      	var width = $(window).width();
        var $stickyTop = $('#sub_menu1');
        if (width <= 989) {
        $stickyTop.waypoint(function(direction) {
          if (direction === 'down') {
             $stickyTop.addClass('sticky-top');
          }
          if (direction === 'up') {
             $stickyTop.removeClass('sticky-top');
          }
        }, {
          offset: '0%'
        });
        }
    	else if (width >= 990) {
        $stickyTop.waypoint(function(direction) {
          if (direction === 'down') {
             $stickyTop.addClass('sticky-top');
          }
          if (direction === 'up') {
             $stickyTop.removeClass('sticky-top');
          }
        }, {
          offset: '95px'
        });
        }
      })(jQuery);
    });
    </script>
      <?php
    }
    add_action('wp_footer', 'desktop_burger_menu_sub_menu_sticky');

    Please ensure to copy the code from the forum and not an email notification so the symbols are not converted.
    also add this CSS in your Enfold Theme Options ▸ General Styling ▸ Quick CSS field:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 989px) {
    .responsive #top #sub_menu1.av-submenu-container.sticky-top {
    	position:fixed!important;
    	top:0!important;
    	z-index:600!important;
    }
    }
    @media only screen and (min-width: 990px) {
    .responsive #top #sub_menu1.av-submenu-container.sticky-top {
    	position:fixed!important;
    	top:95px!important;
    	z-index:600!important;
    }
    }

    This accounts for the mobile switch at 989px when your typical header is no longer sticky, but the sub-menu will be sticky at the top.
    In the css & script you may need to adjust the top height, my text site header was 95px high, if yours is different please change.
    If you have trouble with this please include a admin login in the private content area so we can take a closer look.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hey Munford,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    You may need to create a separate signup form for the other language or use the default mailchimp signup form, as the form fields will not be automatically translated. Please check this thread:

    In reply to: Mobile menu link color

    Hey satucker,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Please use the following css code to further adjust the style of the submenu items in the mobile menu:

    .html_av-overlay-side #top #wrap_all div .av-burger-overlay-scroll #av-burger-menu-ul li:hover a, #top #wrap_all .av-burger-overlay .av-burger-overlay-scroll #av-burger-menu-ul li a:hover {
        background-color: #f1efe8;
        color: var(--enfold-header-color-color);
    }

    Hi,

    Can I get some code to fix the small lines between the menu items?

    To change the position of the lines, try to adjust the value of the top property in this css code.

    .av_seperator_small_border .av-main-nav > li > a > .avia-menu-text:before {
        content: '';
        width: 2px;
        height: 32px;
        background: #c4beb1;
        display: block;
        position: absolute;
        left: 0;
        top: 48%;
        transform: translateY(-50%);
    }

    The previous value was 58%.

    Hello,

    My client has requested a few customization’s to the accordion slider element.

    1. Currently the Heading text appears to be center-aligned vertically, but we want the text to aligned at the top. I don’t want the text to be at the top of the container, just aligned with the top, so that you have a straight alignment across the top of each header even as you resize the browser window.

    2. Each header has two words, he wants these words to always be on separate lines, stacked vertically, how could i insert a space inside the headers?

    3. Currently when you hover over a slide, it expands and the other 3 slides compress, obscuring the view of their titles. He wants the Header text to always be visible, even when the slides are compressed when a different slide is open. Can we adjust the width of how far a slide expands? Thanks!

    Hi,
    To make the custom menu with logo sticky, add this code to the end of your child theme functions.php file in Appearance ▸ Editor:

    function add_sticky_script(){
        ?>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    (function($){
          function a() {
              $(window).scroll(function(e){
                var $sticky = $('#menu-test-menu-with-logo');
                var position = ($sticky.css('position') == 'fixed');
                if ($(this).scrollTop() > 25 && !position){
                  $sticky.css({'position': 'fixed', 'top': '0px','width' : $sticky.innerWidth() });
                  $sticky.addClass('fixed_element_style');
                }
                if ($(this).scrollTop() < 25 && position)
                {
                  $sticky.css({'position': 'static', 'top': '0px', 'width' : '' });
                  $sticky.removeClass('fixed_element_style');
                }
              });
          }

          a();
    })(jQuery);
    </script>
        <?php
        }
    add_action('wp_footer', 'add_sticky_script');

    I also added this css so the menu would rest at the top of the screen, previously there was a small space above, on my install.

    #header_meta {
    display: none;
    }
    .html_header_transparency #top .avia-builder-el-0 .container{
        padding-top: 58px;
    }

    If you don’t have a space you won’t need this, if you want to keep the space, adjust the code above.
    To make the mobile menu sticky add this css:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 989px) {
      .responsive.html_mobile_menu_tablet #top #wrap_all #header {
        position: fixed;
      }
    }

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Rikard,
    Thanks for your reply.

    The widgets I added in the same way I always do. In functions.php:

    add_action( 'ava_after_main_menu', 'enfold_customization_header_widget_area' );

    function enfold_customization_header_widget_area() {
    	dynamic_sidebar( 'Topmenu' );
            dynamic_sidebar( 'Tagline' );
    }

    And added the widgets with exactly the same name…

    It only happens on this website and coincidentally, the theme here has just been updated to the latest version of Enfold. What I not yet did with other websites.

    Regards,

    Steven

    Topic: Mobile menu link color

    in forum Enfold

    While working on shethrivespsych.com I have the info in. Enfold > General Styling > Logo Area set and working correctly on the desktop version. However, on the mobile version, the colors in this panel are not reflected in the submenu on the mobile version. Additionally, Menu Links in overlay/slide out in the advanced styling don’t seem to help. I don’t see options for this in Enfold > Advanced Styling, what can i do? How can I get the mobile menu colors to change?
    Specifically I need to change the color of “Info>FAQ>Fees & Policies>Resources, or I need to affect the background colors of that section of the menu without affecting other areas.

    Hi guys,

    There’s a strange issue that I can’t seem to fix. In the header are two custom-html widgets. Looking fine on desktop but they are gone in mobile view.
    The CSS I use is (for example the flags)

    #header #custom_html-15 {
    position: absolute;
    right: 270px;
    top:-198px !important;
    z-index:9996;
    }

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    #header #custom_html-15 {
    position: absolute;
    left: 127px;!important;
    top:20px !important;
    	z-index:9996!important;
    }}

    I sifted through the entire CSS and there’s no display:none; rule to be found in combination with these widgets.
    Any ideas on what I’m missing here?

    Help will be greatly appreciated

    Best regards,
    Steven

    Hi all,

    is there a way to make the full-width submenu always sticky, even when the hamburger menu is active on desktop? I found some older solutions which, however, only referred to mobile.

    Since more and more clients prefer to display the “burger” icon on desktop computers and have no text menu, I would need to switch the submenu behavior to “always sticky”.

    And while we’re at it, does anyone have a suggestion how to “pull up” the full-width submenu (so that it is visible at the bottom of the screen on first load) without using a negative top margin? The reason I am asking is that a 100% height section with video background shows a black gap when using e.g. margin-top: -55px for the full-width submenu following directly after that full height section. Using a negative bottom margin for the full-height section itself has the same effect. It works fine for all other backgrounds, but the video height is calculated dynamically….

    tl;dr
    1. How can I change the full-width submenu to “always sticky”, even with Hamburger menu active on desktop?
    2. How can I move up the full-width submenu by it’s own height without using a negative top-margin?

    just place on your quick css the font-family of your needs and set the font-weight to : normal ( usually 400) – maybe with an important .

    #top b, #top strong {
      font-weight: 400;
    }

    if you only like to correct this for the given font ( you know better your font-name)
    here with open-sans example

    #top.open-sans b, #top.open-sans strong {
      font-weight: 400;
    }
