  • Hi Victoria,

    I will break it down for you.

    I want to create a full-width sticky button above the header.

    I did the following to implement it
    **In Header Widget I have added**

    [av_button_big label='DONATE' description_pos='below' icon_select='yes-left-icon' icon='ue806' font='entypo-fontello' link='manually,https://www.humanitycarerelief.org.uk/donations/support-humanity-care-relief-projects/' link_target='' size='large' position='center' icon_select='yes' icon_hover='aviaTBicon_hover' icon='ue82b' font='entypo-fontello' color='custom' custom_bg='#db332a' custom_font='#ffffff' admin_preview_bg=''][/av_button_big]

    **In Function.php I am adding**

    add_action( ‘ava_main_header’, ‘enfold_customization_header_widget_area’ );
    function enfold_customization_header_widget_area() {
    dynamic_sidebar( ‘header’ );
    }

    **In Quick CSS I have added**

    @media only screen and (min-width: 990px) {
    #header .widget { display: none !important; }
    }

    custom_html-2 .custom-html-widget {padding: 0 50px; width: 767px;
    margin: auto;}
    #custom_html-2.widget {background-color: #ffcd03;}
    #custom_html-3 .avia-button.avia-size-large {
    font-size: 20px!important;
    }
    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    #custom_html-2 .custom-html-widget {
    width: auto;
    }
    }
    #header .widget {
    left: 0;
    top: -5px;
    transform: translate(0%);
    width: 100%;
    padding: 0;
    }

    Once I done that … then the layout of my website broke down.

    See screen shot #1
    https://www.humanitycarerelief.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Mobile-1.jpg
    What’s wrong with this screen shot
    1. look at the height of the button
    2. where is the burger menu
    3. it is showing social icons when it shouldnt show
    4. Save Live in Yemen (it is showing two banners whilst top one is for Desktop and the bottom one for mobile

    See screen shot #2
    https://www.humanitycarerelief.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Mobile-2.jpg

    Mobile view is showing 3 column when it should show each image in single column

    See screen shot #3
    https://www.humanitycarerelief.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Mobile-3.jpg

    Same issue as above

    See screen shot #4
    https://www.humanitycarerelief.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Mobile-4.jpg

    Same issue as above the whole mobile layout is broken.

    I had to disable all the codes on the website as I wasn’t getting any response from the support team. Because I cannot leave the website in this state.

    There is something wrong with the HTML code but I am struggling to figure out what.

    Because as soon as I enable that this happens.

    So far everytime I had a problem your support team has helped me but this time it’s been slow.

    If you see this ticket and the other ticket I have provided login details at both of them so if you want you can login and enable those codes and see it yourself.

    Looking forward to hearing from you.

    PS. if you can give me exact UK time when you are online to see this then I can enable the code so you can see the live website being affect by this.

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

    I’m trying to figure out a way to add a phone number to the right of my menu where the social icons normally appear. I followed another post on the subject, added the script to functions.php and created a header widget plus added CSS but not getting the results I need.

    Ideally, the phone number should be on one line and appear on desktop, tablet and mobile. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Derek

    Good Morning to the support team!
    I wanted to add social media icons to the last column of a 4 column footer widget.
    So far everything went without problem after following some other threads here in this forum.

    What I did so far :

    Added the social icons to a text widget via HTML Code (links edited for privacy):

    <ul id=”custom_links” class=”noLightbox social_bookmarks icon_count_4″>
    <li class=”social_bookmarks_linkedin av-social-link-linkedin social_icon_1″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>LinkedIn</span>
    <li class=”social_bookmarks_youtube av-social-link-youtube social_icon_2″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>Youtube</span>
    <li class=”social_bookmarks_instagram av-social-link-instagram social_icon_3″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>Instagram</span>
    <li class=”social_bookmarks_facebook av-social-link-facebook social_icon_4″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>Facebook</span>

    Used these modifiers to get the look i was going for:

    /* Idle (all links) */
    #custom_links li a {
    background: white !important;
    color: #5e5e5f;
    }

    /* Hover(all links) */
    #custom_links li a:hover {
    background: #da291c !important;
    color: white !important;
    }

    .widget .social_bookmarks li { clear: none !important; }

    #footer .social_bookmarks li {
    border: none;
    font-size:30px!important;
    }

    #footer .social_bookmarks li a {
    width: 50px;
    line-height: 50px;
    }
    #footer .social_bookmarks li {
    width: 50px;
    height: 50px;
    }

    But now, while the size, color, hoverstate etc. is the way I want it, half of the icons are cut off.

    footer

    Any advice in how to fix this?

    Hello Yigit,
    I have added all the icons in Enfold theme options.
    To start I would like to show the first and second social media icon in the list on :

    Then I will need the third and fourth on a page which is not created yet, could you please explain how to do ?
    Actually, I need on each page either the 1st and 2nd, either the 3rd and 4th.

    Hope I am clear enough.

    For my footer, I will try widget-logic right now and let you know if I have an issue on another thread.

    Kind regards

    Sylvie

    I used this code to add these bookmarks to my homepage:
    <ul class="noLightbox social_bookmarks icon_count_2"><li class="social_bookmarks_twitter av-social-link-twitter social_icon_1"><a target="_blank" href="http://twitter.com" aria-hidden="true" data-av_icon="" data-av_iconfont="entypo-fontello" title="Twitter"><span class="avia_hidden_link_text">Twitter</span></a></li><li class="social_bookmarks_facebook av-social-link-facebook social_icon_2"><a target="_blank" href="http://facebook.com" aria-hidden="true" data-av_icon="" data-av_iconfont="entypo-fontello" title="Facebook"><span class="avia_hidden_link_text">Facebook</span></a></li></ul>

    Then I added this to the CSS: .widget .social_bookmarks li { clear: none !important; }

    However, as you can see it is on the left and small. I want it to look exactly like it does on this enfold site: https://www.goingthewholehogg.com/

    Here is what it looks like on mine:screen shot of icons on my site

    Hi

    Hi!!! I would like to customize the social icons in the socket, I would like to move them away from each other,
    and move copiright and privacy in the footer .. is it also possible to put the socket before the widget?
    I have a screenshot of how I would like it to look, but I don’t see where to put it here.

    Rikard,

    I changed that to an H1 as we discussed. I wanted to include a screen shot I took from Bing. It tells me I have two instances of having an H1 on the home page of NaturalStressManagement.com So I’m getting conflicting data. You spotted how I was missing the H1 but Bing says (see screenshot) I have an issue.

    Can you tell me how to proceed?

    Didn’t know how to get you a screen shot but here is the Bing/Home page data below I cut pasted

    currently site is on a staging server which only I can view, and this is the code I am using:
    (I just need .main_menu to float left next to logo, as oppose to being centered in the header (not using justify-content: space-between;)

    /*--------------------------------

    » Header

    --------------------------------*/

    /* Height */

    #top #header #header_main .container.av-logo-container {
        height: inherit; /* Auto height: Header takes the height of the contents */
    }

    /* Header inner container */

    #top #header #header_main .container.av-logo-container .inner-container {
      height: inherit;
      position: relative !important;
      flex-wrap: nowrap;
      justify-content: space-between;
    }
    /* Wrappers
    --------------------------------*/

    /* Header content and Topbar */

    .responsive #top #header {
        flex-wrap: wrap;
    }

    /* Header contents: Logo, Menu, Social Icons and Widgets. */

    .responsive #top #header #header_main {
        flex-basis: 100%;
    }

    /*--------------------------------

    » Menu

    --------------------------------*/

    /* Menu outer container: Menu with siblings cart and social icons */

    .responsive #top #header #header_main .inner-container .main_menu {
        order: 0;
        flex-basis: auto; /* Use calc to minus the width of the logo */
        align-items: center;
        align-self: center;

    I looked through quite some threads to find a solution on how to show social media icons in my footer widget, but it doesn’t really look good.
    I would need XING and LINKEDIN, but the icons are super small and not all aligned in one line.
    Also, the line height of the footer text is too big! Is there a way to reduce it?
    Thanks so much!

    #1254587

    if you like to have the same buttons as Enfold offers for the header-top or the socket – you can create your own shortcode for these by putting this to child-theme functions.php:

    function social_bookmarks_shortcode() {
    $social_args = array('outside'=>'ul', 'inside'=>'li', 'append' => '');
    $social = avia_social_media_icons($social_args, false);
    return $social;
    }
    add_shortcode('social-bookmarks', 'social_bookmarks_shortcode');

    then use a text-widget to place the shortcode :[social-bookmarks]
    to have the icons besides each other a bit css is needed:

    #footer .widget .social_bookmarks li {
        clear: right !important;
    }

    The same with share buttons : go to a test-page and style the content element: social share buttons with option “use a custom set”
    go and copy the shortcode from debug mode:
    F.e.:

    [av_social_share title='Share this entry' buttons='custom' share_facebook='aviaTBshare_facebook' share_twitter='aviaTBshare_twitter']

    put the shortcode to a textwidget.

    on gdpr ( DSGVO) reasons there is a nice plugin like shariff wrapper will create a widget for it and you can either place the global share buttons or customize them by shortcode f.e.:
    [shariff services="facebook|twitter|mailto" theme="round" borderradius="50"]

    Update! Despite my cache clearing and multiple refreshing, the code I had for centering the Copyright line and social icons did end up working! Here’s what I used (in case anyone needs it for reference):

    @media only screen and (max-width: 550px) {
      #top #footer .widget_nav_menu li {
        display: block;
      }

      #top #socket .container {
        text-align: center !important;
      }

      #top #socket .social_bookmarks, #socket .copyright {
        float: none;
        display: block;
        margin: 0 auto;
      }

      #top #socket .social_bookmarks {
        text-align: center !important;
      }

      #top #socket .social_bookmarks li {
        float: none;
        display: inline-block;
      }
    }

    However the centering is just a little off, it looks like maybe the socket Menu links aren’t quite centering and I’m wondering if there’s some adjusting I can do so it all evenly centers?

    The other two questions remain as well. Thanks!

    Is there any add-ons to the child theme for social profile widgets?
    Would like to get the the same look as the twitter icon “Follow on Twiiter” vs the current Faebook “likebox” in a widget.

    Dear Support,

    What’s next with ENFOLD?
    What can we expect in 2020 & 2021 to build modern websites?
    Are there only fixes and new filters and minimal adjustments?

    My questions:
    – What new features can we expect soon?
    – What modern layout elements can we expect?
    – Can you minimize loading times by actively querying which CSS / JS is actually used on the subpages to avoid loading unnecessary things? Is it necessary that each page loads over 50 files?
    – Layerslider: Why do you still rely on this stuff, which is the absolute conversion killer?
    – Modern social icons (widget, anywhere to share or visit social media accounts?)
    – Modern tables
    – What about modern elements like shadows, SVG sections, modern team layouts, modal or rotating items and trust banners, more real responsiveness. For example: if there are 4 elements in the responsive view, two elements will slide down and not one, or if there are three, one in the middle.
    – Flick-Flack-Grid, without having to create two sets for desktop and mobile?

    Where does the journey go?

    Where is the pipeline, the features to come? Modern companies have a feature rating system where users can vote. However, this also needs to be maintained and duplicate features need to be merged. However, this can also be done by someone without having studied first.
    Most of them do not want to program. They want drag and drop solutions, simple processes. Just like we were used to from Enfold.

    Best Regards,

    S.

    Topic: Footer Social Icon Css

    Hi,
    I’ve added fontello social icons to a widget in my site’s footer and I styled the icons using CSS.
    When I go to a page on the site, the images don’t get styled but when I refresh the page, they do…
    Any idea why it does that?

    CSS:
    /*Facebook Icon*/
    #fbgg a {
    color: #fff;
    background: #382e30;
    height: 55px;
    width: 55px;
    position: relative;
    padding: 7px;
    border-radius: 50%;
    }
    #fbgg a:hover {
    color: #fff;
    background: #d35946;
    height: 55px;
    width: 55px;
    position: relative;
    padding: 7px;
    border-radius: 50%;
    }
    /*Instagram Icon*/

    I am creating a custom footer. Here is my code

    HTML
    <div class=”footerBG”>
    <div class=”footSec”>© Copyright – ELEV8.VC 2020</div>
    <div class=”footSec”>

    Elev8
    <ul class=”noLightbox social_bookmarks icon_count_2″>
    <li class=”social_bookmarks_facebook av-social-link-facebook social_icon_2″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>Facebook</span>
    <li class=”social_bookmarks_twitter av-social-link-instagram social_icon_1″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>Instagram</span>
    <li class=”social_bookmarks_twitter av-social-link-twitter social_icon_1″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>Twitter</span>
    <li class=”social_bookmarks_twitter av-social-link-linkedin social_icon_1″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>Linkedin</span>

    </div>
    <div class=”footSec”>[av_sidebar widget_area='navigation']</div>
    </div>

    CSS
    .footerBG {
    display: flex;
    justify-content: space-between;
    align-items: baseline;
    flex-wrap: wrap;
    padding:20px;
    background-color: #000a1f;
    color: #ffffff;
    }

    @media screen and (max-width: 680px) {
    .footerBG .footSec {
    flex-basis: 100%;
    margin: 0 0 5px 0;
    }
    }

    .widget .social_bookmarks li {
    clear: none !important;
    text-align: center;
    }

    #footer .textwidget .social_bookmarks {
    text-align: center;
    }

    #footer .textwidget .social_bookmarks li {
    display: inline-block;
    float: none;
    }

    #footer {
    padding: 0px 0 0px 0;
    }

    #footer .widget {
    margin: 0;
    }

    @media only screen and (max-width:990px) {
    #footer .textwidget .social_bookmarks {
    display: block !important;
    }
    }

    @media only screen and (max-width:767px) {
    #footer {
    text-align: center;
    }
    }

    #nav_menu-2 #menu-elev8 li {
    display: inline-table;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    }

    .widget_nav_menu ul ul {
    display: none !important;
    }

    As you can see in my code, on the right column, I have the the enfold menu – [av_sidebar widget_area='navigation'] – but it is NOT showing up on my site – https://balrajdesign.com/elev8 – scroll to footer section

    Please help

    Topic: Header Widget

    in forum Enfold

    Hi There.

    I have added a Widget to the Header Area so as to display a Phone Number.
    It is positioned on the right hand side of the Header.
    And I also have the Social Icons displaying to the right of this.
    The Logo is set to display on the Left Hand side of the Header.

    I have added the following CSS:

    #header .widget {
    left: auto;
    right: 90px;
    padding-top: 47px;
    position: absolute;
    top: 0;
    transform: translate(-0%);
    z-index: 999999;
    font-size: 20px;
    font-weight: bold;
    }

    .main_menu {
    width: 100%;
    }
    #top nav .social_bookmarks {
    float: right;
    left: auto;
    width: 10%;
    }

    My problem is that I wish to “vertically” center the Header Widget text and keep it horizontally inline with the Social Icons.

    At the moment, I have just increased the top padding to bring it down, but of course, as the screen size becomes smaller, it moves out of alignment.

    I would also like the Header Widget and the Social Icons to shift under the Logo when viewing on a Mobile Phone, with the Burger Menu to the right.

    Is this possible?

    Regards
    Iain Kennedy

    Dear Ismael,

    Both. All in one solution.

    Easy things, which are known from third parties plugins and other themes.

    User asks for easy things and good layout, where visitors have easy access to social pages (to gain follower or sharings), where Enfold users have easy things, which are known from other things of you cool website builder.

    Ismael, you have the best layout builder ever and inside this universe.
    But some things have the touch from the early 2000. I hope, you don’t stop the investigation, to give more to your users.

    Share or link – give the user, what he need.
    Let the user decide.
    Make processes easy instead to manipulate CSS things. The manual is horrible. Why you use this not as drag-drop-easy-listening-toolbox? See the image at the end.

    Cool icons, easy processes. (possible a toggle inside the existing social element to switch between share or link – easy revamp). I know, you can solve it. Please invest in the future.

    Most of your users need easy processes. Most people don’t want to manipulate CSS things. You see it at the calls. It’s less work here to answer the questions again and again.

    Workflow: as we know: at enfold menu, we define the social accounts.

    In my mind: An easy widget, where user can decide, which icons want to see, round, grey, rectangle, with hover effect or without. Whatever. Or fullwidth rectangle inside the sidebar. There are so many cool things outside this predefined set from the beginning of enfold.

    Easy usage and mirroring from one template via “page content” element. To have one place for the original social box. And if anything is changed (e.g. new network) user can change it at one place and can mirroring this via page content element.

    I work with the “page content” element very fast. Contact forms, trust banners, team members: All is at some preset pages. And I can mirror all. That was one of your biggest features to make work easier.

    A easy social widget for sidebar, footer, inside the content. Whatever the possibility is. This was my wish…and many users also, if you read the Google history and compare, what Kriesi’s competitors do.

    Hey Kevin,
    Sorry for the late reply, one way to add more items to the cart UL is to edit:
    \wp-content\themes\enfold\config-woocommerce\config-356.php around line 1866 you will find this code:

    	$output = "";
    	$output .= "<ul {$id} class = 'menu-item cart_dropdown {$trigger}' data-success='".__('was added to the cart', 'avia_framework')."'><li class='cart_dropdown_first'>";
    	$output .= "<a class='cart_dropdown_link' href='".$link."'><span ".av_icon_string('cart')."></span><span class='av-cart-counter'>0</span><span class='avia_hidden_link_text'>".__('Shopping Cart','avia_framework')."</span></a><!--<span class='cart_subtotal'>".$cart_subtotal."</span>-->";
    	$output .= "<div class='dropdown_widget dropdown_widget_cart'><div class='avia-arrow'></div>";
    	$output .= '<div class="widget_shopping_cart_content"></div>';
    	$output .= "</div>";
    	$output .= "</li></ul>";

    Perhaps a simpler solution would be to add your other icons to the social icons profiles and then append the cart menu with these with jQuery. Or you can add your other icons to the social icons profiles and then adjust with css so it looks like they are in the same container, like your screenshot.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

    @Hokuspocus: Are you requesting for a social media links/icons widget?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #1245143

    A sad story of Enfold.
    Social media marketing and embedding of easier link solution is not understood by enfold.
    This question to have an easier solution for social marketing comes since 2013, referenced in Google for Specific search

    enfold social media documentation shortcodes

    Some users don’t want to have a share button. A link to the social media profiles is also often requested (instead only in footer or header), without any discussion of the GDPR-Note for social share-buttons. I can’t understand, why not into the “share” element a dropdown is implemented for seleting “share” or “open social media profile”, as we have defined in Enfold.

    Despite the many requests over the years.

    Many other themes have had simple solutions here for years.

    Why you can’t find a solution here, I can’t deduce. Instead, we have to go into some “debug” menus and do some manual work.
    I can’t understand, why you make Enfold users the work difficulty.

    I mean: We have defined the Social Profiles in Enfold. I can’t deduce why this stupid share-bar with these old-fashioned icons is not updated. And you don’t have a widget for sidebar or the website.

    Creating something like this must be a feat for Enfold that is impossible to create: yes, I know we should install the 30121 plugin additionally.

    It would be nice, if you implement this feature in your roadmap, which is requested again and again very often since 2013. (See google).
    Instead to create the same answers.

    Hello,

    I am developing a new website at https://www.brandtwist.com/p/ and ran into an issue of receiving a “Saving didn’t work! Please reload the page and try again.” message, which is the result of a 502 error. I haven’t encountered this error before on any of the other sites that I’ve developed with the Enfold theme and started occurring after importing native WordPress Users XML export and WooCommerce orders XML export. After turning on WP_DEBUG, it looks like it is due to undefined indexes/offsets in “/wp-content/themes/enfold/includes/admin/register-dynamic-styles.php”. The issue resolves itself when not using the Enfold theme, which makes me believe it is isolated to the Enfold theme. I have also tried deleting and regenerating “/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/enfold_child.css”, and trying to set the dynamic styles related to the PHP errors, all to no avail.

    I’ve created a testing copy of the site at https://www.brandtwist.com/p/test/ and included logins below. Attached are the serialized style settings from the database and a snippet of the error_log with the PHP errors encountered.

    Thank you

    Topic: Side Menu Modification

    in forum Enfold

    Dear Enfold Team,

    i´m working on a specific customer project with the following modifications needed:

    The reference is the following site:
    http://nicolettecamille.com/about/

    1, The Menu on the left should not have a logo on desktop and the menu items should fit in the black box.
    There is a background image. This image should also just appear on desktop.
    With css hacks, i would show the mobile menu on tablet view, because i think this won`t fit?

    2, Is there a way, that the social icons are after the widget in the menu on the left side?
    also without the box,- just the simple icons without a space.

    3, main page:
    the customer wants a line with the site title in the beginnen,- as you can see on the site of nicolette.
    Is this possible per default, or should i create a heading with an image line on every site?

    4, mobile view:
    On mobile, i would like to have the logo overlapping on the mobile header and appear a bit in the main page.

    I hope my requirements are possible in this way.

    Thanks a lot!

    HI,

    I’m a little confused as to which code I should be using in the link below.

    All I am wanting to reproduce is the logo left, center widget (maybe 2 of them side by side ), menu to right. Need small bar on top to remain for phone number and social icons I already have in place.

    Any assistance on what I should be adding and where would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
    John

    Hi guys,

    I´ve managed to sort the problem. It appears it was a caching issue to which I found the solution on other threads. I deactivated the caching plugin and then de-selected the “Delete old CSS and JS files” option and saved options and the site went back to normal bar

    1. A footer widget was removed
    2. The icons are not showing on chrome
    3. The social media icons are not showing on chrome

    I re-added the footer widget but any info on how to solve the icons not showing on chrome would be appreciated!

    Many thanks and best regards

    All the below are changes I need when the website is viewed on mobile devices:
    burger menu to display below the logo
    header widget to display next to burger menu
    search icon next to header widget
    social media icons to display aligned left instead of right

    Please refer to images and login details in private content.

    Hello,

    I’m trying to add social icons into a footer widget. I’ve got this code in functions.php

    function enfold_social_icons( $atts ) {
    $social_args = array(‘outside’=>’ul’, ‘inside’=>’li’, ‘append’ => ”);
    return avia_social_media_icons($social_args, false);
    }
    add_shortcode( ‘enfold-social-icons’, ‘enfold_social_icons’ );

    If you look here you can see the icons don’t show up…

    They are down in the footer. If I swap out the return to be an echo the icons show up, but then this causes them to show up above the widget title – https://puu.sh/GdWbg/cb87c932d2.png. So it needs to be return.

    Thanks much!
