    I’m using the Left Menu Version – the Left menu is not responsive so the widgets, social icons, and lower menu items do not appear on smaller resolution screens.

    Also the video background isn’t responsive either. Neither is the background image that appears instead of the video background on mobile devices.

    Hey Joakim

    Can you please post the link to your website so we can provide you HTML code so you can use it in Text widget in footer to display your social icons. If you would like to display your social icons in footer socket section, please go to Enfold theme options > Footer and check “Social Icons”

    Regards,
    Yigit

    Hello,

    I’m looking for a way to place my own social media icons horizontally in one of the widget areas. Now, when i’m using the jetpack picture widget it places the icons vertically.

    It would also be nice to be able to place all of the footer widgets on top of eachother instead of besides one and another.

    Thanks in advance

    Regards
    Joakim

    Hi twaelde!

    Are you just using the icon shortcodes in a text widget or are you displaying the header social icons there?

    If your just using the icon shortcodes then check this out, http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/adding-your-own-icon-fonts/.

    If your using the header social icons then see here, https://kriesi.at/support/topic/custom-social-bar-icons-replaceadd-enfold/.

    Best regards,
    Elliott

    Hi,

    I just saw your solution to put some Socialmedia Icons in a widget. So I´m wondering how I can add other Socialmedia Services. For example, we need:

    twitter, facebook, xing, linkedin, instagram, vimeo

    I think, it´s the code

    data-av_icon=""

    but I can´t see the value, it is a “?”. What do i have to insert there?

    Thanks Peter!

    The code you provided works for removing the default flags.

    But I don’t see that option in WPML. The only way I can add it is the widget. Is there a way I can make it to add the dropdown menu in the same place the flags are/were, or maybe to the right just above the social icons?

    Thanks!

    If you add a widget and social media icons to the left side bar, when in mobile they disappear and don’t show up on top like the other themes. Is there a way to have them show up in the mobile menu? Also, if you are on a page with not a lot of content it doesn’t let you scroll down to see the stuff on the left like subscribe to blog.

    That’s interesting; i have looked at the avia_options_enfold_child records. Below is an obfuscated / depersonalised copy of it. I can’t see any reference to filepaths / URLs for the iconfont in here.

    I’ve also checked avia_options_enfold and the only paths in that record point (correctly) for social icons (labelled pr-icons). Unless I’m missing something in phpMyAdmin I’m still not sure what record the iconfont filepaths can be found in…

    Interestingly after uploading the test Fontello icons a new record was added, called avia_builder_fonts. No URL or filepath in it though.

    Hi KairosCanada!

    You can use a third-party plugin for sidebar Social Media Icons:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/social-media-icons-widget/

    Cheers!

    Hello.

    Can someone let me know how I could place the Social Media icons that are above the header into a sidebar widget?
    I’ve tried copying the code into a text widget but it doesn’t work.

    Many thanks.

    Hello Ismael,

    this is exactly what I did.

    I changed includes > helper-social-media.php to this:
    https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=[title]&url=[shortlink]&hashtags=CoachingBlogger
    and saved the changed file to my child-theme in the folder ‘includes’.

    But it doesn’t work. I do not get a different Output as the one specified in the original php-file. Do I need to include the Twitter widget.js or is it already included in enfold?
    I put this into my child-themes functions.php

    if is_single() {
    	echo '<script type="text/javascript async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"></script>';
    }

    I would also need to add a rel=”publisher” to the google+ Icon. Where would I add this?

    Hi!

    Thank you for the update.

    Please try to add this on Quick CSS or custom.css:

    .avia-slideshow-inner li{
    -webkit-transform-style: preserve-3d; /*fixes flickering issue when slider moves. usually other elements in other container flicker */
    }

    Remove browser cache then reload the page. If it’s not enough, add this:

    .avia_textblock,
    .avia-icon-list,
    .avia-button,
    .avia-testimonial,
    .iconbox,
    .avia_message_box,
    .avia-team-member,
    .widget,
    .post,
    .team-img-container img,
    .team-social,
    .iconlist_icon,
    .fallback-post-type-icon,
    .fullsize .related_posts,
    .grid-image,
    .avia-caption-content, .avia-caption-title,
    .entry-content-wrapper,
    .avia_start_animation
    {
    	-webkit-perspective: 1000;
    	-webkit-backface-visibility: hidden;
    }

    I hope that fix the issue.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi there,

    I am loving enfold!

    I am having a few issues:

    #1 my social media icons are not showing up in Chrome
    no social icons chrome

    #2 it seems like my site is not being responsive with mobile. I have magic action box pro as a custom widget area at the top of my home page and it won’t resize for mobile. It looks better to not have responsive in magic action box enabled.

    I cannot adjust the screen with touch. The box is not resizing. opt in mobile verticalhttps://www.dropbox.com/s/k31u8fceyt6o2ff/opt%20in%20horizontal%20.PNG?dl=0

    #3 the menu looks super weird on mobile and I want to disable it. Tried to look under mobile in header options but the changes I attempted did nothing.

    Hello.

    I’ve managed to add Social Media icons (like the ones at the top) to my footer, however, for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to change the icons so that they emulate what I have at the top (Facebook, Twitter, Google, YT, Vimeo, Flickr, RSS).

    Here is the code that I have applied to my footer widget:

    <ul class="noLightbox social_bookmarks icon_count_7">

    <li class="social_bookmarks_facebook av-social-link-facebook social_icon_1">
    <a target="_blank" href="https://www.facebook.com/kriesi.at" aria-hidden="true" data-av_icon="" data-av_iconfont="entypo-fontello" title="Facebook"><span class="avia_hidden_link_text">Facebook</span></a></li>

    <li class="social_bookmarks_twitter av-social-link-twitter social_icon_2"><a target="_blank" href="http://twitter.com/#/" aria-hidden="true" data-av_icon="" data-av_iconfont="entypo-fontello" title="Twitter"><span class="avia_hidden_link_text">Twitter</span></a></li>

    This has popped up again. I haven’t touched the backend of my front page, but I have been working on the footer. The background:

    I have an Instagram widget and a Twitter widget side by side near the bottom of my front page. When I upgraded to Enfold 3.9.2, I began having trouble keeping them in place. See the original thread for details. I thought I had this fixed. Tonight I was working on the footer – I changed it from 4 columns to 3, and now my social icons have moved up from my footer to where my Instagram widget was, Instagram is where Twitter was, Twitter has disappeared, and the footer is not displaying the correct content. Take a look:

    The social icons are supposed to be in the right-most column of the footer (where there is a long default menu), Instagram should be on the left, above the footer, and Twitter should be where Instagram is. ALL I did was change the footer from a four-column to a three-column layout, That’s it. Nothing else. Really very frustrated right now. Stopped cold to post this, not touching anything else til I hear back.

    Thanks!

    My client is not on Twitter but on LinkedIn, so I’d like to replace the Twitter Icon and Link in the footer “interesting links” widget with the respective LinkedIn icon and link.

    I know that I could just use a blank text widget and put in the necessary code, plus manually upload a linkedIn icon to the media library, but I’d like to think the more elegant solution would be modifing and using the widget that’s already there.
    How would I go about that? Maybe I overlooked it, but I couldn’t find a widget.php anywhere in the folder structure.

    Maybe for future updates it would be a good idea to offer an alternative for the small social icons row above the navigation at the top of the page for the footer area? Or consider that people might want to mix and match their own interesting social links? For example, fewer users use the RSS feed today or even know what the icon stands for.

    Hey!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab

    span.social_widget_icon {
    background-color: #37589b;
    }
    .avia_socialcount a {
    width: 49%;
    float: left;
    }

    Regards,
    Yigit

    hi as Josue help on https://kriesi.at/support/topic/insert-search-button-and-widget-area-in-the-secondary-menu-bar/

    i was trying to include widget on header using location as social icons on display on header area (desktop version) just to include there phone and 3 icons with their own links (one of them with fancy box)

    Because almost all questions were private i couldn’t check what it was really done to do the same and avoid to make a new question.

    thx in advance for your quick help and answer

    Hey!

    No, it’s not possible to add a widget on the header without modifying the theme files. You can insert your own social icon codes or modifications on includes > helper-main-menu.php file which holds header objects like menu, social icons, logo etc.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    I’ve searched and haven’t found a solution to adding color social icons to the header. Is there a way to use a widget in the header and add them that way? I have all of the colored icons that I want to use. I just can’t figure out how to add them. My client insists on having colored social icons so they stand out.

    Thanks, great theme,
    Steve

    Hi there, hoping for some help.

    I’m wondering if it’s possible – using custom CSS or whatever – to reduce the padding in between elements, horizontally? Basically I want my portfolio to look more like this, with the text and images closer together:

    Portfolio example

    I’ve tried bits of CSS I’ve found on the site but they always mess up the widgets in the footer.

    Secondly, when viewing my site on a mobile/cell phone, the images on the portfolio – both the portfolio grid and the actual portfolio pieces appear to be quite small. Not terribly so, but I was wondering if they could be a made a bit larger so they’re more like this:

    (this is the grid)

    Portfolio grid

    (portfolio entry)

    Portfolio entry

    Finally, the social icons in the header, I’m having some problems with. Twitter works fine, however, Pinterest insists on adding my contact page URL before my Pinterest handle, and therefore does not link to my Pinterest account. I also can’t set the social icon for mail to link to an email? That also wants to direct to my contact page. Any ideas?

    Many thanks.
