    Hi,

    No problem. Glad to know that it is working. We could remove the layer slider settings (ntegrated (Bundled) LayerSlider Plugin) from the theme options, but we have to modify the enfold/config-layerslider/config.php file directly, and remove this code around line 74.

    add_filter( 'avf_option_page_data_init', array( $this, 'handler_option_page_data_init' ), 10, 1 );

    Thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    The avf_add_search function is already added in the functions.php file, so the error occurs because you are trying to duplicate the function. You have to remove the previous avf_add_search function first. After removing any instances of the avf_add_search function from the functions.php file, try to add the following snippet.

    Hey zoltom,
    Thank you for your patience and for your explanation. Try adding the filter button by adding this code to the end of your functions.php file in Appearance ▸ Editor:

    add_action('woocommerce_before_shop_loop', 'filter_button_before_shop_loop');
    function filter_button_before_shop_loop() {
    	if(is_shop()) {
    		echo do_shortcode("[av_button label='FILTERS' icon_select='no' icon='ue800' font='entypo-fontello' link='manually,http://' link_target='' size='small' position='left' label_display='' title_attr='' color_options='color_options_advanced' color='theme-color' custom_bg='#444444' custom_font='#ffffff' btn_color_bg='custom' btn_custom_grad_direction='vertical' btn_custom_grad_1='#000000' btn_custom_grad_2='#ffffff' btn_custom_grad_3='' btn_custom_grad_opacity='0.7' btn_custom_bg='#0a0a0a' btn_color_bg_hover='custom' btn_custom_bg_hover='#444444' btn_color_font='white' btn_custom_font='#ffffff' btn_color_font_hover='white' btn_custom_font_hover='#ffffff' border='' border_width='' border_width_sync='true' border_color='' border_radius='' border_radius_sync='true' box_shadow='' box_shadow_style='0px,0px,0px,0px' box_shadow_color='' hover_opacity='' sonar_effect_effect='' sonar_effect_color='' sonar_effect_duration='1' sonar_effect_scale='' sonar_effect_opac='0.5' id='shopknop' custom_class='' template_class='' av_uid='' sc_version='1.0' admin_preview_bg='']");
    	}
    }

    You can replace the button shortcode with yours from the screenshot, or try this as-is to test.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    At the moment we are so UNCLEAR about what you are saying. Please could you reply to my specific thread and not keep directing me to other conversation threads. Our client loves the layout of the page on their website with the opposite text and images, however, as described in my first message, on a mobile the page looks bad as the text and images don’t align.

    Please clarify EXACTLY what CSS we need to use and WHERE it needs to go. For example, is it in Appearance -> Customise -> Additional CSS or somewhere else?
    You mentioned colour sections, do we need to use this for the custom CSS to work?

    In relation to updating the theme:
    We have updated the Enfold theme manually using FTP – but we received the below error.
    To temporarily resolve this issue, we changed the file name notices.php to notices.old. Please advise how we can FIX this.

    “An error of type E_PARSE was caused in line 277 of the file /home/nicholsonbrown/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/assets/wp/notices.php. Error message: syntax error, unexpected end of file”

    Hey Federica,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Did you add the following snippet in the functions.php file? This should create a search field within the mobile menu container when the mobile menu icon is clicked.

    Dear all,

    many thanks for your support within the case to make WP Landing Kit Plugin up and running.

    The problem with symbols seems to be solved, but I now have another issue:
    Warning: setcookie() expects parameter 3 to be integer, array given in …wp-content/themes/enfold/includes/helper-privacy.php on line 370

    This happens when I go to the main domain and click a link which targets the second domain.

    Hey natashawalker1,
    Thank you for your patience and for the link to your site, the main trouble with your request is that when the testimonials are shown as a grid they are all showing, so what would you show when they change? When the testimonials are in slider mode only one testimonial is shown at a time.
    I did come up with a solution where if you have two testimonial elements showing 3 testimonials in a grid each, then we could toggle between the two elements every 8 seconds. But I couldn’t do this on your site because you are using Enfold v4.5.7 and in that version, the testimonial element doesn’t have the custom class option, so you will need to update your theme, but I will explain how to do this.
    First, on your page create two testimonial elements each with 3 different testimonials
    2021-09-04_001.png
    The add the custom classes first & last to them:
    2021-09-04_002.png
    Then add this code in the General Styling ▸ Quick CSS field or in the WordPress ▸ Customize ▸ Additional CSS field:

    .avia-grid-testimonials.last {
    	display: none;
    }

    Then add this script to the end of your functions.php file in Appearance ▸ Editor:

    function custom_script() { ?>
        <script>
    (function($) {
    	setInterval(function(){
         	$('.avia-grid-testimonials').toggle()
    },8000);
    }(jQuery));
    </script>
        <?php
    }
    add_action('wp_footer', 'custom_script');

    Now you can have two grids switching back and forth, and each grid can be as many elements as you wish but try to have the two use the same number of items. But please note that the switch is sharp without any animation, I tried to add some animation but the timing proved to be very tricky so the plain toggle worked best.
    Hopefully, this will help you.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #1318892

    Hi,

    We are now seeing a completely different error in the debug log, which seems to be related to WPCLI commands and the instagram widget from the theme. Are you using the instagram widget? If yes, then you will have to install the Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed plugin.

    [30-Aug-2021 01:47:09 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: avia_key in /home/wp/disk/wordpress/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/class-framework-widgets.php on line 3417

    Are you experiencing any issues with the dashboard or the page builder?

    The previous error probably occurred because the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax plugin is still enabled while the base plugin Woocommerce is disabled. We deactivated the plugin temporarily.

    Hey Jad,
    Thank you for the link to your site but the login doesn’t work. I assume that you followed these steps: How to add Custom Social Icons to Enfold options
    But looking at your code snippet above I see that you didn’t specify the font, you used the word “font” instead of “entypo-fontello”
    also please note if you are not using a child theme you need to add the code to the enfold/functions.php at around line 47 after

    if( isset( $avia_config['use_child_theme_functions_only'] ) )
    {
    	return;
    }

    but I see that you are using a child theme so perhaps you have a curly quote in your code?
    This is the code I used which worked for me:

    // Register new icon as a theme icon
    function avia_add_custom_icon($icons) {
    $icons['amazon'] = array( 'font' =>'entypo-fontello', 'icon' => 'ue924');
    return $icons;
    }
    add_filter('avf_default_icons','avia_add_custom_icon', 10, 1);

    // Add new icon as an option for social icons
    function avia_add_custom_social_icon($icons) {
    $icons['Amazon'] = 'amazon';
    return $icons;
    }
    add_filter('avf_social_icons_options','avia_add_custom_social_icon', 10, 1);

    the social profile was added at Enfold Theme Options ▸ Social Profiles ▸ Your social profiles at the bottom of the list
    2021-08-29_003.jpg
    and on the frontend it shows like this
    2021-08-29_004.jpg
    Don’t forget the Amazon orange mouse-over css:

    #top #wrap_all .av-social-link-amazon:hover a{
        color:#fff;
        background-color:#FF9900;
    }

    Hey Amnon Nissan,
    Thank you for your patience, the hovan.com, site doesn’t look like a WordPress site it looks like it was created with sitecms.co
    I see that your “broken” site is Enfold Version: 4.8.6.2
    If the hovan.com site was Enfold v1.9.1 then it would not work with WordPress v5+ nor PHP 7+
    So you would need to update and it should be updateable as out Dev Team has maintained backward compatibility on the most part, I’m not sure about v1.9.1 but I have seen a v3 site update and work.
    But I don’t believe this site is an Enfold or WordPress site, I hope this helps.

    The problem started in this latest update 4.8.6.2.
    Your current Enfold Theme Version Number is 4.8.6
    Your PHP version: 7.3.29

    My host had to return my site to the previous 4.8.6 backup because it indicates that the new theme continues to consume excess resources and they do not identify in which folder it is because about 65 folders appear with errors.

    I have already sent several emails to you and I’m sorry to say so but they give me very strange or incomprehensible answers, you look for errors in cpanel, and errors appear when updating to 4.8.6.2, so I ask you to do tests to know what happens With the update on my site, currently my hosting provider restored my entire site to the previous version of a month ago, at that time it was version 4.8.6.

    Hey ReseauCarrieres,

    Please post FTP login details in private, so that we can try to upload the theme manually for you. I would suggest that you try to update a bit more frequently in the future.

    Also, the recommended PHP version is currently 7.4 to run WordPress on. We can’t say for sure if your site will run into problems or not, using the current PHP version on your site.

    A friend has a site, http://www.hovan.com, that is using the Enfold theme ver. 1.9.1, with a version of WP from 2013, and an old ver. of PHP. That server is going away and he asked if I would host it for him. I copied it and installed it on our server but it did not work right at all. Updated WP to the latest, still misbehaving. It does some things (very simple site) under PHP5.6, but not 7.4. With 7.4 it just spits out error messages all over the screen.
    Now the question, would an update to the theme solve this problem in all likelyhood? or will it be better to find someone and redo the site for him?
    The working site is at http://www.hovan.com, the broken site is at http://www.hovan.deltaforce.net
    Thanks.

    #1318628

    Hi,

    Nice to know that you have found a different solution. The filter above could actually accomplish the same thing. Just replace post_content with post_excerpt.

    add_filter("avf_masonry_entry_content", function($content, $entry, $atts) {
        return $entry->post_excerpt;
    }, 10, 3);

    This should return the unmodified version of the excerpt without the tags stripped.

    If the filter above is not working, try to check if this same exact line exists in the enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/av-helper-masonry.php file (line 607).

    $content = apply_filters( 'avf_masonry_entry_content', $content, $entry, $this->atts );

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #1318594

    Hi,

    You may have to ask your hosting provider to adjust the above SFTP account and give it the proper permissions so that we could modify the wp-config.php file in the root directory and enable debugging, or just ask them to enable debugging.

    I turned on the WP Debug in my raidboxes account

    We are not really sure if enabling that option will enable both WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY or just the error log. Anyway, we have checked the error logs and found the error in the enfold/framework/php/function-set-avia-frontend.php file around line 74. We also noticed that the theme is outdated. You will have to upgrade the theme from version 4.6 to the latest version, 4.8.6.1. The upgrade should help fix the issue.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #1318592

    Hi,

    Alright. Regarding handling it via child theme, you can deregister the script file, copy it to your child theme and register it back using its new path. Examples in the following link.

    // https://kriesi.at/support/topic/is-it-possible-to-whitelist-a-custom-cookie/#post-1310899
    // https://kriesi.at/support/topic/google-map-marker-size-increase/#post-1308434
    // https://kriesi.at/support/topic/tabs-select-on-hover/#post-1307497

    You will need these functions.

    // https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/wp_deregister_script/
    // https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/wp_enqueue_script/

    If you do not want to override the script file, you might still be able to add the attribute with a custom script.

    // https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/add-custom-js-or-php-script/#add-a-script-to-footer-section

    Best regards,
    Ismael
