Hey Rolf!
Feel free to request it here. Also, if you use a child theme you can store functions like this in the child theme functions.php.
Best regards,
Josue
Multiple errors.
I have reinstalled wordpress.
I have reinstalled enfold.
I have no plugins installed.
I do not get the errors with other themes.
I am on the same server set up as other sites with the WP 4.0/Enfold 3.01 set up without problems.
I am still getting the same errors.

Hey!
I’m sorry but code is wrong, specifically the single quotations. Please add this below line 16 of functions.php:
add_filter( 'avf_google_heading_font', 'avia_add_heading_font');
function avia_add_heading_font($fonts)
{
$fonts['Alef'] = 'Alef:400,700';
return $fonts;
}
add_filter( 'avf_google_content_font', 'avia_add_content_font');
function avia_add_content_font($fonts)
{
$fonts['Alef'] = 'Alef:400,700';
return $fonts;
}
Cheers!
Ismael
Hi,
I am getting the following error:
Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/home/kx83j3k9sk4/public_html/tmp/sess_d70371314c455d7d211164e3e3c012ce, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in /home/getthebe/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/masonry_entries.php on line 33
The website is at gtb.co.nz
I would appreciate if you can suggest what needs to be done.
Cheers

Hi,
I updated from version 2.72 version 3.02,
- Now an error message shows up on all pages (see below) except the home page,
- The advanced layout editor is still broken.
Fatal error:</strong> Call to undefined function kriesi_backlink() in /home/konak1/public_html/pancho/wp-content/themes/enfold/footer.php on line 82
This is a very straightforward and simple installation of enfold, only 2 plug-ins and no customization outside of the enfold admin area.Child theme is not in use.
Here is the update procedure I used
- Create a test copy of site installation
- download v3.02 WordPress only zip file from Envato
- unzip contents
- turn off all plug-ins and set WordPress theme to default
- upload entire new version 3.02, overlaying existing files and folders to destination folder via FTP
- reactivate plugins
- activate theme
The second problem of the Advanced Layout Editor (ALE) not working started when I updated WordPress to version 4.0.
I did not notice that Enfold 2.7 and WordPress 4.0 were not compatible until later.
The incompatibility is that the ALE will not load (spinning load icon) and if the page is in Default mode, none of the buttons or hyperlinks work (Screen options & Add media button for example)
Here is the live site: http://PanchosLeftys.com enfold 2.7 WP.4.0
Here is test site: http://konakiko.net/pancho enfold 3.02 WP.4.0
As it stands now, this site can not be modified via the text editor.
I can provide login credentials for both sites, if that will help

If I try to log in, there are even more.
I have ZERO plug ins installed.
I have replaced both WordPress and Enfold via FTP.
I have not visited the site in about 5 days so have changed nothing.
Add this to the end of the function.php child theme and got a black white screen.
function add_custom_script(){
if(is_singular(‘product)){
?>
<script>
(function($){
$(window).load(function(){
if (window.matchMedia(“(min-width: 767px)”).matches){
$(“.single-product-main-image”).before($(“.single-product-summary”));
}
});
})(jQuery);
</script>
<?php
}
}
add_action(‘wp_footer’, ‘add_custom_script’);
thx for continuing to help.. if you can help me, it will make mobile surfing my site better

Hi!
@fichtenelch: Thanks for confirming that the sidebar issue is non-existent. If possible, please stick to your own thread. :)
@brian7454: Please download the latest version 3.0.2 from your themeforest account then update the theme via FTP. Remove all sidebar customization including filter, hooks on functions.php and any column, grid, container css width modifications. Please refer to this link for more info: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
If you’re worried about messing up the site, you can create a test site first. Let us know if the pages with sidebar are broken.
Regards,
Ismael

Hey!
Please remove the code you added from functions.php file via FTP.
Please refer to Peter’s post here to change archive layout – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/how-to-get-a-different-layout-for-the-blog-page-without-breaking-breadcrumbs/#post-256745
Cheers!

Hi Krissie!
1. To use a custom blog layout template, simply save your file as single-(post-type).php.
For reference:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Type_Templates
http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Hierarchy
2. For sidebars for particular posts in certain categories, create a page for the post, add the blog post using Avia Layout Builder, add a Dynamic Sidebar using Widget Area.
Alternatively, you can look into third-party plugins.
E.g https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-custom-post-template/
You can also vote for or post a feature request on our feature request page https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/.
3. With regards to images, you can change image size on functions.php, find this code
$avia_config['imgSize']['widget'] = array('width'=>48, 'height'=>48 ); // small preview pics eg sidebar news<br />
$avia_config['imgSize']['related'] = array('width'=>128, 'height'=>80); // small images for related items<br />
$avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio'] = array('width'=>208, 'height'=>125); // small preview pic for default portfolio (4 columns )<br />
$avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio2'] = array('width'=>448, 'height'=>260); // medium preview pic for 2 column portfolio and small 3d slider<br />
$avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio3'] = array('width'=>288, 'height'=>170); // medium preview pic for 3 column portfolio<br />
$avia_config['imgSize']['page'] = array('width'=>608, 'height'=>200); // image for pages and one column portfolio<br />
$avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>928, 'height'=>350); // big images for fullsize pages and fullsize 2D & 3D slider<br />
$avia_config['imgSize']['portrait'] = array('width'=>340, 'height'=>390); // medium preview pic for portrait pictures
You need to regenerate thumbnails once you edit the thumbnail sizes.
Regards,
Arvish
Hey!
The custom link is a meta data (“av-custom-link”) attached to the media file, in this case i think you’d need to do that with the term in question, check out /enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/media.class.php:87.
Cheers!

Hallo zusammen,
erstmal ein dickes Lob für dieses flexible Theme.
Ich habe jedoch eine Fehlermeldung im Bereich Design -> Menüs
Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /www/htdocs/w0120226/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 703
Wie kann ich das beheben? Diese Meldung erscheint nur bei eurem Theme. Bei allen anderen funktioniert der Menüeintrag ganz normal.
Gruß
Markus
Hi,
I’ve found the reason for the vanished sidebar: quite a while ago, I added a section in my child theme’s function.php in order to adjust the sidebar’s width (see this thread). This customisation caused the bug.
Since the layout can be determined by the dimensions option in the General Layout section, there is no need for the solution in the functions.php. It doesn’t go together with the new grid system anyway, so I commented the code snippet out of the functions.php and everything looks fine again: the right hand sidebar is there again. YES!
I guess this topic can be closed, since brian7454 stays with an older version and I managed to solve my problem.
Thanks for the answers & kind regards!
Hi Joe,
Try adding this at the very end of your theme / child theme functions.php file:
function add_custom_script(){
if(is_singular('product')){
?>
<script>
(function($){
$(window).load(function(){
if (window.matchMedia("(min-width: 767px)").matches){
$(".single-product-main-image").before($(".single-product-summary"));
}
});
})(jQuery);
</script>
<?php
}
}
add_action('wp_footer', 'add_custom_script');

Josue

Hey!
Try to add this on functions.php:
function add_custom_script(){
?>
<script>
(function() {
var cx = '017133608885378490428:v8rygf2-7ou';
var gcse = document.createElement('script');
gcse.type = 'text/javascript';
gcse.async = true;
gcse.src = (document.location.protocol == 'https:' ? 'https:' : 'http:') +
'//www.google.com/cse/cse.js?cx=' + cx;
var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];
s.parentNode.insertBefore(gcse, s);
})();
</script>
<gcse:searchresults-only></gcse:searchresults-only>
<?php
}
add_action('wp_head', 'add_custom_script', 10);
I’m not sure if this is going to work but it will print out the google search script inside the head tag.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi!
If you want to reverse the arrow events, please edit config-templatebuilder > avia-shortcodes > portfolio.php. Find this code on line 367:
<a href='#prev' class='ajax_previous' ".av_icon_string('prev')."></a>
<a href='#next' class='ajax_next' ".av_icon_string('next')."></a>
Replace it with:
<a href='#next' class='ajax_previous' ".av_icon_string('prev')."></a>
<a href='#prev' class='ajax_next' ".av_icon_string('next')."></a>
Cheers!
Ismael

Hi!
Yes, but you can avoid that by using a child theme and storing that custom code in its functions.php file.
Best regards,
Josue
HI there, I need to add an extra hook to the functions.php but every time I click save the screen goes blank.
Here’s the code I need to add:
<?php
/**
* If you need to make some of the GravityView search fields required before search is submited
* – add as many lines as you need to define which fields are required
* e.g. -> jQuery(‘#gv_search_XYZZ’).prop(‘required’, true );
*
* Add this gist to your theme functions.php
*
*/
add_action(‘gravityview_after’, ‘my_theme_make_search_fields_required’ );
function my_theme_make_search_fields_required() {
?>
<script>
//define here the search fields that are required
jQuery(‘#gv_search_2247’).prop(‘required’, true );
// validation magic
jQuery(‘form.gv-widget-search’).submit( function(e) {
e.stopPropagation();
var isValid = true;
jQuery(‘.gv-widget-search input:required’).each( function(){
if( jQuery(this).val() === ” ) {
isValid = false;
}
});
return isValid;
});
</script>
<?php
}
What I’m doing wrong?
Please let me know how to fix it.
Hey!
I’m sorry but we only provide support for theme related issues. Please hire a freelance developer for theme customization.
1.) The category sort functions is available for Blog Grid element. You can only use it on Masonry and Portfolio Grid elements.
2.) You can change the thumbnail size using the Simple Image Sizes plugin.
3.) Enable the post navigation on mobile device with this on Quick CSS:
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
.responsive #top .avia-post-nav {
display: block;
}
}
4.) Comment count will only show on single post pages not on the blog overview page. You can enable it on Enfold > Blog Layout > Blog Post Comment Count. If you want to show it on the blog overview page. Please hire a freelance developer to modify loop-index.php file.
5.) Please provide a link to the actual page where this is happening.
6.) The slider container will depend on screen size. You can hide it on mobile device using media queries then show another elements instead. You can add a unique selector to any elements on the advance layout builder except for column layouts. Refer to this link for more info:
http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/
7.) Edit the font on Enfold > Advanced Styling panel or add this on Quick CSS:
body, body p {
font-size: 20px;
}
8.) You can use the css above. Use the line-height property for paragraph spacing.
Regards,
Ismael
Hi mcraig77!
If you would like to add it manually, please go to Appeanrace > Editor and open Helper-main-menu.php file and find
<div id='header_meta' class='container_wrap container_wrap_meta <?php echo avia_header_class_string(array('header_social', 'header_secondary_menu', 'header_phone_active'), 'av_'); ?>'>
and add your text right below it
<a href="http://kriesi.at" class="my-custom-text">Here is your text</a>
then add following code to Quick CSS
a.my-custom-text { color: red; }
a.my-custom-text:hover { color: orange; }
Regards,
Yigit
Hi,
Open /enfold/framework/php/class-form-generator.php and look for line 417:
if(empty($_POST[$id])) $_POST[$id] = "false";
Replace it by this:
if(empty($_POST[$id])) $_POST[$id] = "false";
$checked = 'checked="checked"';
Regards,
Josue
Hi Bernd!
I think you’ll need to edit the file itself, open /enfold/functions-enfold.php and look for line 173:
$excerpt = apply_filters( 'avf_ajax_search_excerpt', avia_backend_truncate($post->post_excerpt,70," ","...", true, '', true) );
Replace it by this:
$excerpt = apply_filters( 'avf_ajax_search_excerpt', avia_backend_truncate($post->post_excerpt,70," ","...", true, '<br>', true) );
Then add this to Quick CSS:
#top #searchform br {
display: block;
}
Best regards,
Josue
