Thanks Dude but that didn’t work. I removed the css styling and commented out and even deleted the line you referenced from the config.php but the drop downs returned. I’ve shown which line I deleted below. Is this the correct one?

i have done that already, my pictures are 300×302 and make them almost 600×651 and destroy the image. Why this happend? why the picture became bigger?

Can i set the size to be the real size of the pic??

The plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/post-thumbnail-editor/screenshots/ worked great.

You can do both options. Import the image with white either side then use the plugin to crop for the large image in lightbox or the other way round. Upload the standard image without white and crop in the image for the gallery.

Do you mean the place where it says Add Preview Images? I’ve tried, and they don’t display.
