    Hey!

    Try adding this code to the Quick CSS:

    .image-overlay.overlay-type-extern {
        display: none  !important;
    }

    Cheers!

    Hi Friends,

    I would like to modify the look and feel of the single product page.

    Specifically, I would like to increase the size of the Gallery image and decrease the size of the description, options and buy now. I like how the sidebar and product description line up on the wide side of the page, so refining my question, is it possible to move the product gallery to the wide side and move the description and option selector to the narrow side?

    If not, I’m open to other options for making the image gallery larger at the top of the page.

    Thanks!
    Keith

    My site is in development, so I can’t share a link. This is just a request to modify the default Enfold / WooCommerce single product page.

    Edit: Replies was closed, but the Automattic people have replied me. Here’s their reply just for you guys to see :

    Unfortunately, it’s a problem with how the Enfold theme is set up in that it requires width and height for every image. The Masonry plugin is compatible with Jetpack as a number of my colleagues use it on their own sites and report no problems with Photon conflicting.

    With Photon, we remove the width and height arguments to prevent your images from skewing when the resized image doesn’t have the same dimensions as the original. This is particularly important when you switch from one theme to another, and the new theme is narrower than the previous theme. One of the benefits of Photon is that it will automatically resize your images so they don’t exceed the width supported by your theme. This means, though, that we don’t know what the new dimensions are.

    Since the Enfold theme requires height/width settings in images, you wouldn’t be able to use Photon with that theme. Since Tiled Galleries also rely on Photon, you would not be able to use that module either. Here’s a reference that will walk you through enabling or disabling those modules:
    http://jetpack.me/support/activate-and-deactivate-modules/

    I hope that clarifies things! Let us know if we can help with anything related to the Jetpack plugin in the future!

    Cheers!

    I Devin,

    My goal is to have a semi-transparent menu sitting on top of the full-screen image. With Ismael’s solution the menu is not on top of the image. With Josue’s solution it it on top of the image, but the image does not go fully to the bottom of the screen due to the padding-top being 0px.

    I’ve set it back to Josue’s solution so you can see the issue I’m having at the bottom.

    First turn on the custom css field: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/

    Then you can target it a bit more directly and override anything that gets added default. Commenting out the base css is a very poor way of modifying the theme unless you are comfortable with doing backups to the core files for each update. Even then with how often we change the css it may not really work.

    If you can put up the dev site on a live test server we can inspect and help further. You can also force the hover state via dev tools which should make it easier to find the conflict with whatever you are trying to accomplish.

    Hi Ismael

    Thanks for your reply, I don’t have access to the .htaccess file.

    Did you see the message from my hosting provider? Can you see anything from this log that might be the issue?

    “The PHP memory limit is 128MB but that is across all sites on the whole hosting platform, so no one site will ever be allocated anywhere near that much.

    It would be very unusual for a WordPress site such as yours to reach the PHP memory limit, unless the images you are trying to upload are extremely high resolution ones.

    I’ve checked the PHP logs for your site and, whilst there are no errors recorded, there are warnings such as the one below:

    PHP Warning: file_get_contents(/content/sites2/h/o/homefarmhursley.com/web/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/skins/.DS_Store/skin.css): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /content/sites2/h/o/homefarmhursley.com/web/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/editor.php on line 85

    This may not be relevant to the problem you have reported but is something to possibly take a look at.”

    Hey!

    The demo uses images with 1600x470px dimension on the Layer Slider. Are you setting this images as the background?

    Cheers!

    HI,

    I know that I can use the following CSS to apparently disable the image overlay effect
    .image-overlay { display: none!important; }
    but I need to disable any other code relating to this,in order to use the following plugin:
    http://codecanyon.net/item/wp-easy-social-hover/3771834
    to help me increase site social interaction.

    Right now the plugin will not function as expected.
    Any help would be most appreciated.

    kindest regards,

    PPCHound

    Hi,
    is there a possibility to show the image description if I insert a image with Media Elements > Image?
    —–
    Hi,
    gibt es eine Möglichkeit die Bildbeschreibung anzeigen zu lassen, wenn man ein Bild über Media Elemente > Bild einfügt?
    Wenn man den Umweg über text block > Datei hinzufügen geht ist es möglich, aber nicht die eleganteste Methode.

    Hi,

    I want to display in “Ajax portfolio” video (not images) is there any possibilities ? I can change a theme code but need some information where it can be found. I will be grateful for information.

    #198538

    Hey!

    Yes, this is probably a good idea because the Photon extension conflicts with a wordpress core function: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_get_attachment_image_src and it’s something they need to fix on their end.

    Cheers!

    Hi!

    I asked this before through this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/remove-lightboximage-link-from-ajax-preview/ and I found the solution here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/disable-lightbox-on-ajax-portfolio-featured-image-only/

    The solution in the second thread is this:

    You need to replace following code in avia.js:

    $.avia_utilities.avia_ajax_call = function(container)
    {
    with

    $.avia_utilities.avia_ajax_call = function(container)
    {

    jQuery(‘.portfolio_preview_container .portfolio-preview-image’).find(‘img’).unwrap();

    The problem is that this solution causes a error when switching through the ajax previews. Have a look here: http://agwp.agarkitekter.se/projekt/
    Username: test
    Password: test

    Look at the 4 portfolios in a row that have a slider (“Enskede Park” – “Järven” – “Storängen” – “Gaia”). If you click on one of them and then with the arrows go back and fourth through the 4 portfolios, the slider is broken pretty often and instead the images just line up. When I remove the code above, I get no error. Is there any other way of remove the lightbox (I don’t want any link at all from on the slider), or any suggestion why this causes the sliders to be broken?

    Regards,
    Tomas

    Hi- Thanks for your email. I did that. It completely distorted my image and the top/bottom are cut off because it was re-sized proportionally. What pixel width to I need to set every image at so the image appears correctly on every screen? 1600px? 1500px? I need to get this number/info to my designer in a couple hours and sending one, trying it, sending another slider, is not an option because of our tight deadline. Thanks for your thoughts! :)

    Hi!

    Ok I understand now! And that technique works for both Masonry & Classic Portfolios?

    Finally, when using Masonry & Classic Portfolios will the thumbnails on the grid page respond to the aspect ratio of my images (all will be portrait)?

    Thanks! I think I’m nearly there now.

    Hey!

    Ok, the issue is caused by the Photon extension and we can’t fix this issue on our end. We use a wordpress function ( http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_get_attachment_image_src ) to query the image meta data (including the image width and height to calculate the aspect ratio) and the Photon extension seems to delete the width/height data when it fetches the images from the cdn. Because of the missing meta data it’s impossible for our theme code to calculate the aspect ratio and the division of the width/height of the image to calculate the aspect ratio fails (“Division by zero” error). I now added some code which deactivates the aspect ratio calculation if the meta data is missing and in theory you can use the Photon extension without getting the warning message – however I recommend to deactivate the Photon extension because without the aspect ratio calculation you may not get the best results.

    Best regards,
    Peter

    Hi!

    It worked when I deleted the item and created a new one with the same images, strange. Thanks for the help! Im going to try find out what custom change caused the first problem with sliders turning into images now. Topic can be closed.

    This needs to be fixed immediately. I have tested on all browsers and still all have the same problem. I have a deadline by Tuesday, 11:59 PM EST. Hate to be rude, but will have to rate poorly if this can’t be resolved. Do a lot of business with Envato and my business also depends on it. Willing to work with you, but this needs to be resolved in a few hours or less. It has already been 24 hours.

    I want to present on the home page, under the layer slider, a sort of portfolio grid of 8 boxes (2 rows of 4) for images & links, almost like the portfolio page display (that has 3 rows of 4) however I do not want it to be from posts nor have any categories nor breadcrumbs. I only want to put an image in each box, (and title) with ability to hyper link directly to an ordinary page, not use posts. Is that possible?
    In effect it is to be the same size as the portfolio grid and same layout, only I only want to remove the functionality with it, and replace by only linking the images to the internal pages.

    Hi

    It refers to ALL images

    I noticed your default image size was 1000 x 650 in jpg format

    Thus I saved all my images as the same

    When I view on all browsers before saving, the image quality not compromised

    Then I uploaded images to the pages into wordpress at 1000 X 650

    But once uploaded the image loses quality and becomes very low res
    And when I want to choose your template sizes for example the
    Portfolio = 495 X 400 it does not resize properly ..whether i choose 300 X 300 or the 495 x 400, it retains the original size

    how can i send you a screenshot

    #198445

    Also – how do I add an icon/image overlay to the image BEFORE hover?
