Hi pmaly!
Please add Color Section element to your page right under your Layerslider, then set your image as Custom Background Image of color section element and give it a custom ID myid (or any other). Then add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab
#myid {
background-color: transparent!important;
margin-top: -55px;
z-index: 55;
border: none!important;
}

Hi guys,
I’ve been trying to display some simple HTML code snippets for the user to copy (the HTML is for an image that is then hyperlinked to a page on my site – I am basically creating banners for my users to add to their own site).
I’ve tried the <code> and <pre> tags inside a text block using the correct character entities to avoid the HTML being rendered. I also tried putting it into a Notification Box and neither method worked. Well, it did work the first time but as soon as I tried to edit the code snippet, the character entities were automatically replaced and so the HTML was rendered.
How can I best add some simple HTML code snippets to a page or post without having to completely redo it everytime I want to edit it?
Thanks,
Matt
Thank you! I love this template. One more thing…is it possible to adjust the height of the menu? I am using the Fixed header with social icons and navigation.

Can i disable the hover-effect on images to click on them to make them larger? I’m mainly focused on an image I added to the homepage, which when enlarged is the same size as the image. The hover effect is distracting, so I’d like to remove it on this image.
Thanks,
EK
Hey!
You put that line in the functions.php file (at the very end).
Regarding the Icon element, you can find that in Content Elements > Icon
Cheers!
Josue
Hey!
You can replace “gray” in Ismael’s code with #719430 or any other color you would like

Hey Josue
Thanks for your reply!
Sorry, I’m a little bit confused. How can I enable the function
add_theme_support('avia_template_builder_custom_css');
Oh damn, think I’m to stupid to add a icon ._.
I don’t see a content elemnt like this on your picture… What’s the name of the content element or isn’t it a content element?
And if I add a “Font Icon” I haven’t the same menu as on your picture.

Fabrice
DUDE! Lol, I just like the sound of that :)
Thanks for your response. Currently I have the “You might also like” disabled on my site and it did clear up a lot of the errors. I also added another plugin called SEO Friendly Images which basically injects the title tag into the image html output which is good because normally your title would have your focused keyword. Keep in mind and I am sure you are aware of this that any and all images should have an alt and title tag. This is just plain good SEO practice. I certainly am not a PHP developer but I can usually find my way around adjusting the code to my needs. This framework is very difficult for me unfortunately.
I am also seeing some errors with link texts and given the information it looks like it would be the social media icons on the top.

Any suggestions for this?
Can you please tell me why all the thumbnail images in the Posters Section aren’t square? I’ve been running into this problem many times. Thank you!

Hey guys where do I edit the Comments section?
I would like to change the “Leave a Reply” to “Leave a Comment” and remove the html tags but I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Can https://kriesi.at/support/topic/rollover-disc-arrow-replacement-part-2/#post-121206 be achieved for an individual image within a gallery or just for an entire gallery?
Thanks

Hi!
The images get downsized to fit the layout and then resized a bit by the container. So in the demo those are very wide and not very tall images that have been resized and then added in.
What this results in is what you have there. The images with more square like dimensions to begin with will retain that aspect ration.

Devin
Do you have any idea what the size of the image should be? I like the current size that you have now. Thanks.

Just to clarify. I have seen posts on here where you can replace the rotating arrow with another icon (I presume) through some sort of ASCII code. This is not what I want.
I want to replace that spinning rotating arrow with an image that I need to upload to WordPress.
Thanks.

Hey slui!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab and change the url to your custom image
.image-overlay.overlay-type-extern .image-overlay-inside:before {
content: url('https://www.yourdomain.com/image.png');
font-family: 'entypo-fontello';
}

We had originally set up a sub-domain (http://beta.hovertrowel.com) for development of a new WordPress website using your theme. When we were finished filling in the content we pointed the domain (http://hovertrowel.com) at our WordPress directory and updated the URL information in the WordPress ‘settings’ menu to be accurate. We then removed the sub-domain http://beta.hovertrowel.com and all our image links are now broken except for the slider.
The slider is using relative image linking, where as all the images we have on our site are hardcoded to use http://beta.hovertrowel.com.
What is the easiest way to do a mass search-and-replace on our images so that we can change the url from http://beta.hovertrowel.com to just http://hovertrowel.com? Is there a specific table in the database we can run a query on?
In the meantime we have reactivated the http://beta.hovertrowel.com sub-domain, but ideally, we’d like to get rid of this and have all of our images linking from http://hovertrowel.com.
Please advise.
Thanks,
J
Heres a screen shot of what happens to the 1700px x 441px image on a monitor set at 980×1280
http://staging.actify.com/design/home-page-scaling-on-monitor-set-at-980×1280.jpg
Hi,
By default, you have a spinning green circle with an arrow (inside) that pops up when you run your mouse over an image indicating that one should click to get more details.
My question is how do I replace that spinning green circle with an image? Thanks.
sl
Here is a picture from global settings. It is set to 1300 x 400. The image is 1700×441 and with my monitor set to 1920×900 it is scaling the image to 2491×607. With those global settings it should not have scaled it larger than 1920 wide.
When I set my monitor to 980×1280 it scales it to 1262×307. Always
When we used a 2048px wide image on a 1920px monitor it scaled to over 3000px wide.
The template is looking at the size of the image rather than the size of the monitor. It seems like the image should be scaled to fit the monitor regardless of image size.
Here os the image of the General settings and below it a screenshot from my browser showing wht the image is doing:

Here is the image from my browser showing how it is being scaled:

Hi!
I really don’t see the issue on my end because of my screen resolution. It is a lower than yours. Can you please post a screenshot of the issue? You can find the global settings on LayerSlider WP > Select a slide > Global Settings.

Ismael

Peter,
Thanks for your email.
Issue 2 (hover over on featured image on post page) has been resolved. Thanks.
Issue 1 9reducing the featured image on the post page (eg: http://www.bazam.co.uk/brand-satellite-completes-ettrick-yarrow-valleys-design-project/) to the same size as the list of posts page: http://www.bazam.co.uk/news/ has not. Do I need to input the size to the code you told me to replace? If so, how do I do that?
Issue 3: Here is an example of a text page with 25px margin around the image: http://www.bazam.co.uk/brand-consultancy/ Here is an example of a post page, which doesn’t have the 25px margin around the image: http://www.bazam.co.uk/brand-satellite-completes-ettrick-yarrow-valleys-design-project/ Can you give me some code to add, so there is a 25px margin around the images on the post pages? Thanks.
Giles
Hey!
No, because I couldn’t edit the file. However we should wait for the next theme update because I’m not sure why my code isn’t working and maybe some updated files are still missing in Enfold 2.4.5. The next update should contain all necessary hooks and then you can even use the “big preview” gallery style. I.e. I tested it here: http://test.inoplugs.com/agb/ and used a slightly modified version of the code I posted in one of my last posts.
add_filter('avf_avia_builder_gallery_image_link', 'avia_change_gallery_thumbnail_link', 10, 4);
function avia_change_gallery_thumbnail_link($link, $attachment, $atts, $meta)
{
$custom_url = get_post_meta($attachment->ID, '_gallery_link_url', true);
if(!empty($custom_url))
{
$link[0] = $custom_url;
$link['custom_link_class'] = 'aviaopeninbrowser';
}
return $link;
}
Best regards,
Peter

Hi Yigit,
sorry for not coming back to this topic, but i think it will be better to make everything final and than let you take a look at the places where i want to have smaller margins …
one thing that i dont understand at the moment is:
on my frontpage i do not have any white frame at the bottom edge of the website. the last image could scroll in without interfering with a white frame.
Any other page from the website has a white frame at the bottom edge of the website. this makes it less convincing when the last image scrolls over it.
Can i get rid of this white border at the bottom edge of the site on every page ? and when, how ?
many thanx for helping !
stucki
Hey TJ!
1) Thanks, we’ll add the alt/title attributes to the “You might also like” images with the next theme update.
2) the ?s= query parameter is probably added by the search link (loop icon) in the menu. Since 2.4 we added a rel=”nofollow” to the search link and the search engines should not follow it. However if the spider/crawler ignores the rel value and follows the link it will provoke a 404 error. You can remove the search icon if you fear that it affects your ranking (Enfold > Theme options) however I’m pretty sure it has no impacts at all because google and other search engines respect the nofollow attribute…
Cheers!
Peter
