I am creating a sidebar menu and there is the option of adding “Categories” to the menu.
These categories however are solely “post/blog-items”: News; Frontpage Articles; Images….
I would like to choose portfolio categories for the sidebar menu. Is that possible?

For the logo, the browser does an image optimization after the image is done being transformed. There is a small delay when this happens. If you use a smaller logo file it will be less obvious.
For your shop pages, they need to be larger than whatever you’ve set. In your case all images should be bigger than 350×350 on each edge for them to not get scaled dis-proportionally.

I set up my semi white transparency for both my .png image and text for my layerslider. It shows me the .png image getting the nice semi transparent background as well as the text but after I save it and view on website the background disappears behind the .png image.

To be honest I don’t see the problem when I try to reproduce your issue and since you are currently running the older version I cant check it on your page either. I was able to reproduce the footer problems which I could fix. Do you see any of the problems you encountered on our live demo page?

KriesiI’m following up to this as I solved couple things, and you no longer have to login – I disabled the maintenance mode.
1) How do I adjust my logo positioning, I’d like the bottom of the body to sit on top of the navigation bar and probably move the logo further to the left as well.
I was able to get the image of the person to sit on on nevigation bar by adding the margin-top: 20px but I can’t get the logo to position further to the left without an issue. I’d like to see the body somewhat behind the “Home” button.
2) How do I set up the navigation so when I click on an active page it changes the color of the background and makes it look like a rectangle, for example click on one of the pages at http://www.apple.com and you see how the active link changes the background into another color.
I figured out the background color for the active page. However, how do I get it to not set “home” as an active page with that background color? I prefer the background color to only show up on the other pages.
3) How do I set a specific size to the right and left vertical borders on the navigation link so each one looks like its the same size. example: http://www.apple.com
I can’t figure this one out, I’d like to see each tab Home, Bio, Giving Back, Speaker etc to each be in the same block size regardless of the length of characters used. Apple does it nicely.
4) How do I move the sign up now into the same row as the name and email down near the socket?
Still can’t figure this out either.

As far as I know LayerSlider doesn’t have any options to accommodate that kind of style. The main slider in the Salient theme example doesn’t do that either and crops the background as needed to fill the width/height of the container. This is the same thing you can get by using a color section with an image/video background, a Fullwidth slider or for fullscreen you can use the Fullscreen slideshow.

After trying a few things I got the plugin to work, but not the way I was hoping.
When I insert the custom url, it adds that on to the end of the page’s url that the gallery is inserted in instead of just linking to the custom url only. For example:
I insert http://www.google.com into the custom url field for an image in a gallery. The gallery is inserted into www4.wmtao.com/a-gallery-test/. When viewing the page, the gallery image now has a link of: www4.wmtao.com/a-gallery-test/www.google.com
How do I make it link to just http://www.google.com without the rest before that?

Since updating to 2.5.2, my site and 2 other clients seeing these 2 specific files disappear when I check on them each day. I checked the logs on the site and nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Losing those 2 files will prevent the image fade ups from working, you’ll see nothing but white where images should be.

If you mean the alt titles that show when hovering on images its advisable to keep them since its an SEO boost. Otherwise you can edit your media information on each photo in your WordPress media manager by editing each image.
If you can post a screenshot to somewhere like imgur or dropbox and then paste the URL to it here it will help give a better idea of what you mean for the image description location.

Please give us a link to the page. We need to get the page id to remove the background on that specific page. If you want to change the style of a specific element on a certain page or post, you can use the Google Chrome Inspect Element. Look for the unique css body class.
On the example above, the page’s unique selector is .page-id-2251. We can use it to change the element within that page.

But, was wondering if the title below each image can be set to a h2 or similar with some custom css?
Also, is it possible to increase the padding between the columns on the portfolio pages only (just to add a bit of space between them)?

Topic: slideshow titles
I have a question:
I am trying to disable the titles on my slideshow images.
As per another thread here, I added this:

I also tried this:.avia-slideshow .avia-caption .avia-caption-title {display:none !important;}
in my quick css. No changes.
