yeah I tried disabling plugins. no luck. what’s weird is that it seems to have stopped working outside the editor as well. not sure what happened there.

Have the same issue with Gravity Forms short code not processing. I’m using the layout editor and even tried the temporary fix mentioned here:

@ import not detected – goodI have tried BWP Minify and W3TC and both fail even when I am only working with the CSS style-sheets in the enfold directory. I did setup a child theme, but nothing is there but a style.css file. I am guessing there is a specific order to getting the same results as the demo, can you please provide the setting being used by BWP Minify, in the demo, for CSS and java-script, because that will be the next setup I need to get done.

Ok, I found the issue. We’ll fix this in the next version but it seems like Gravity Forms and our theme use the same class for the ajax submission. For a quick fix open up enfold/js/shortcode.js and replace:
$('.ajax_form', container).avia_ajax_form();with
//$('.ajax_form', container).avia_ajax_form();Note – this change will deactivate our ajax form but the next update will allow you to use both forms together.

Site loading speed is now a major factor regarding SEO. While Enfold does a great job in most aspects, site analysis tools such as gtmetrix.com all complain about the query strings attached to static resources. A site that I am working on gave these errors on GTMetrix:

By the way: The form works if I use the Gravity Forms preview mode to test the form. So it must be something that happens on the frontend. I also tried to put the form into a new simple post but the result was the same.

It´s the fact that the “Submit” button disappears and the form data are not beeing sent on the page. See what´s happening if you submit the form on http://www.eoswiss-engineering.ch/contact/
I would love to use Gravity Forms because I´m so used to it.

Ok, fair enough. Tbh I don’t think Enfold is incompatible with Gravity Forms just because the “Insert Shortcode” button doesn’t work with the textblock editor (especially because you can use it with the default editor and copy/paste the shortcode) but feel free to use another plugin.
Update: Probably you also need to replace following line in gravityforms.php
if(in_array(RG_CURRENT_PAGE, array('post.php', 'page.php', 'page-new.php', 'post-new.php'))){ add_action('admin_footer', array('RGForms', 'add_mce_popup')); }with
if(is_admin()){ add_action('admin_footer', array('RGForms', 'add_mce_popup')); }otherwise GF will not add the required JS code to the footer.

Nope. Doesn´t work. So it seems as if Enfold doesn´t work with Gravity Forms which is a pitty since GF is a very popular form plugin as you know. For the time beeing I need to check something else.

The form button does not work because following code in wp-content\plugins\gravityforms\gravityforms.php prevents the html code output
$is_post_edit_page = in_array(RG_CURRENT_PAGE, array('post.php', 'page.php', 'page-new.php', 'post-new.php')); if(!$is_post_edit_page) return;(part of the add_form_button() function). You can delete this code and the button should pop up. I recommend to contact the plugin authors – maybe they can add a filter to the $is_post_edit_page variable which allows us to bypass the check if the editor displayed within the ajax modal window.

I updated it now but the form still doesn´t work. I´m using a child theme but I assume that´s not the issue.
Just to be clear: The issue is when I click on the submit button the button disappears and nothing else happens. No error, no message, no email is sent, nothing.
Any other idea?

The form appears on the page, once you hit submit the button disappears and nothing happens, no JS error, no PHP error, and if I put the form on a page without the layout editor it works perfectly.
Any solutions? I’m running the last version of GF 1.7.11 and version 2.1 of the enfold theme.

But it would be much nicer if Enfold would support Gravity Forms right from the advanced editor.

I see this issue has arisen in these forums previously but no real fix was given, apart from updating wordpress, which I’ve tried.

I’ve tried to add the short code to a text box as I’ve suspected it should be done, and after doing some research on the forums, I’ve seem a moderator instructing to do the same thing, although the form appears on the page, once you hit submit the button disappears and nothing happens, no JS error, no PHP error, and if i put the form on a page without the layout editor it works perfectly.
Any solutions? I’m running the last version of GF 1.7.9 and version 2.2 of the enfold theme.Thanks in Advanced

The way that Quform adds in the code for the various forms unfortunately doesn’t work well with the theme. Instead of pulling in an outside javascript file through wordpress it embeds the code directly where the form is which leads to errors wihen used with the advanced layout editor.
I’ll tag Peter and Kriesi on the topic and maybe they can reach out to the author of the plugin to see about better integration or adding theme support for it like we did with Gravity Forms.

What do you guys think my next move should be? Have never had this problem (running two other Kriesi template sites and many others). Should I just go ahead and run another form plugin, etc? Will I have a problem doing that? Gravity Forms, i.e….
Any guesses on why this is happening to me? My host company says it’s not them.
