We’ll take a look. As a general rule, when a problem arises, we find that the source is Ezoic. We’ve had many issues with the ad network not playing nicely with the Enfold theme. The file that you previously found problematic was Ezoic’s.

Rikard,
It is not my place to fight your theme battles with WordPress. You can reproduce the issue. I showed you that you did.
The issue only happens with Enfold and not the Twenty20 theme and WordPress. No plugins activated.
The only solution I see here is raising this to your developers.
Otherwise, the theme is not fully compatible with Gutenberg and you need to add the disclaimer on ThemeForest. I don’t see many people using Gutenberg with Enfold. None on the Facebook Enfold Support group. Their solution was to migrate the whole site to the Classic Editor.
Again, This means the theme is not fully compatible with Gutenberg. If so, add the disclaimer to Theme Forest and let your users know. I don’t have to fix the theme’s “specificity” issues with Gutenberg “specificity” changes. The questions to WordPress for these radical changes are the THEME developers responsibility. Not a theme user.
I am in the proper forum. I expect to have a proper support response soon.
Best regards,
Havi

July 3, 2022 at 10:18 am #1357115In reply to: Nofollow to buttons and images
Hi,
I’m hoping this is the correct place for me to post, please correct me if I’m wrong.
I’m using Enfold theme version 4.6.3.1 alongside a child theme of Enfold (tried updating to 5.0 but it breaks my website for some reason)
Is there any code I can add to get the “nofollow” attribute to outbound button links?
July 3, 2022 at 1:18 am #1357106In reply to: Transparent Header not working on Mobile device
Hi Nikko
Thank you so much for the compliment ! I have wanted to build a website of my images for many years but have never had the time. I knew nothing about building websites 3 weeks ago so it was very hard at first but thanks to Enfold product, the support forum and direct help from Kriesi staff like you, I have learnt a lot. Take a look at my site using a PC/Laptop. It’s better to view wildlife images on a bigger screen :-)Remember that this issue I have with transparency not working when I have a background image in header is only on a mobile device but I have found a work-around as you can see. Everything works fine on a PC.
If I understand what you are saying, I can target transparent headers for mobile devices on specific pages
If that is the case, I only need transparent header for mobile device to work on the HOME page.
If I can get code for that to try on the home page, then I can test it myself
If it can’t be done, it’s no problem. My work-around works as you saw
July 2, 2022 at 11:12 pm #1357097Thank you for looking into this and for your fast reply! Before I reached out to you, I contacted Google a few days ago and I asked them about this. Google told me to contact the theme author, which is why I just paid for a new Enfold license so I could email you for support. Google said it’s an issue on the theme’s end, not on their end.
I have been working on this all day and found some interesting things I am hoping to get your feedback on.
The message from Google said the the “page” was not mobile friendly, not the entire website. So, I used the Google Mobile Friendly tool on a sample of web pages from the website and I discovered that only some pages fail Google’s Mobile Friendly test, while some pages pass Google’s test!
In the private section of my reply, I put direct links to some of the pages that pass the Google Mobile Friendly test, and some pages that do not pass the test.
Based on what you see in the pages that pass vs. the pages that fail, do you have any other thoughts what may be causing the issue with Google?
A few other points I wanted to pass along…
1) Could there be specific elements from the Avia Layout Builder from the Enfold theme that may be causing Google to fail some of the pages? One page that failed Google’s test is the Home page, which uses a bunch of Avia Layout Builder elements. And one page that passed Google’s test is the About page, which uses only a few Avia Layout Builder elements.
2) Another point, all pages of the website have the same header, menu, and footer. And since some pages successfully pass Google’s test, the problem cannot be with the header, footer, or menu. This leads me to believe that the issue must be caused by one or more specific Enfold elements on the pages, right?
3) Another interesting thing is that for all the pages that failed Google’s test, it was the SAME three issues. Doesn’t that mean some kind of Enfold element is causing the page to fail Google’s test?
I am hoping this new information will help you think of other potential reasons why this is happening. I can’t contact Google again because they already said to contact you. But I feel like the fact that some pages pass the test and some pages fail the test that the root cause must be with specific Enfold content elements, right?
Any ideas or thoughts would he extremely helpful.
Thank you very much as always!

Hi,
Thank you for the link to your site, if you notice in your screenshot the editor font is different than the preview font, the preview shows what it should look like on your site, while the font in the editor is loaded by the WordPress TinyMCE editor, it is not ment to be a visual depiction of the front end:

If you want to use the font “Georgia” for all of your H2 headings you can choose this in the Enfold Theme Options ▸ General Layout ▸ Heading Font

or if you only want it in your H2 headings choose it in Enfold Theme Options ▸ Advanced Styling ▸ H2

After applying the change, please clear your browser cache and check.Best regards,
MikeJuly 2, 2022 at 9:46 pm #1357094Hey santanin,
The website looks absolutely perfect on all mobile devices (Android, Apple, etc.) so I don’t understand why it keeps saying these three errors. There is no where on the site when viewing on a mobile device that shows the text too small or clickable elements close together. And nowhere on the site is the content wider than the screen.
We can’t tell you that either unfortunately. If you want to make any changes to your site, then we need to see the elements which fit the description which Google is giving you. Please note that this is likely not theme related at all, since I’ve personally got the same “error messages” on sites which are not running Enfold, and on sites which is not even running WordPress.
If you need further clarification on why the test is returning these “errors”, then please reach out to Google directly, as we can’t answer for their test.
Best regards,
RikardJuly 2, 2022 at 8:59 pm #1357090Hi,
Thank you for your patience and the link to the GitHub project, I first noticed that the project has an option to define a button on line 72 by adding the attribute to the shortcode like this:
[mfp_post_popup post_slug_id="3460" popup_id="1" link_text="Popup Button" button="true"]
in the project on line 105 you will see it has an image attributeimage_linkso it will allow an image like this:
[mfp_post_popup post_slug_id="3460" popup_id="2" link_text="" image_link="/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/portfolio-2-2-260x185.jpg"]
notice the link_text=”” is empty for the image, without the empty attribute the default is “Click Me”

Now considering that your goal is:to create a portfolio page style by clicking on the image from the main page, then loading the pop-up window in which more detailed information is shown as a scrolling popup window.
I tested this GitHub project on some portfolio items and found that full width elements break it and display some the target page below the footer on the trigger page, it works fine if the target page has no full width elements.
If you are going to have full width elements on the target page why not just use a button or image with
?iframe=truein the link?

you could use css like this to make the lightbox larger:.mfp-iframe-scaler { width: 100% !important; max-width: 100% !important; height: 300vh !important; max-height: 300vh !important; } .mfp-iframe-holder .mfp-content { max-width: 90vw!important }and use the theme options to hide the footer and header on the target page:

So since you want to create a grid of images that link to pages that show in a lightbox, I don’t see an advantage to using this GitHub project to create a grid of shortcodes when you could use the image elements to do it without errors.
Another built-in option would be to use the portfolio ajax, true it’s not a lightbox but it loads the content on the same page. For the example page you linked to, I didn’t find any lightbox popups on it, each grid image that I clicked loaded a new page, perhaps you meant to link to a different page.

ParticipantGood day. My client who I use Enfold for her WordPress site started receiving emails from Google that said, “Your page is not mobile-friendly.”
When I click the link in the email it takes me to Google’s Mobile Friendly test. The URL is in the private section of the post.
When I run the test, it keeps coming back with these three issues:
1) Text too small to read
2) Clickable elements too close together
3) Content wider than screenThe website looks absolutely perfect on all mobile devices (Android, Apple, etc.) so I don’t understand why it keeps saying these three errors. There is no where on the site when viewing on a mobile device that shows the text too small or clickable elements close together. And nowhere on the site is the content wider than the screen.
Also, I manage 8 other websites all using Enfold, so I ran this same Google Mobile Friendly test on all 8 sites, and they all came back with the same three issues! Why is Enfold causing this issue? It can’t be a coincidence that all 9 websites I manage using Enfold have the same exact 3 issues from Google. And all websites are updated to the latest version of Enfold.
Can you please help? This client is threatening to dump me, and I’m afraid my other 8 clients will do too once they contact me regarding this issue. So far only this 1 client has contacted me about this. I just paid you over $80 for a new license and support for this client for 12 months and am hoping you can help me.
If you can please go to the URL in the private section of the link, and then once you run Google’s Mobile Friendly test, click on one of the issues and you will see a box open on the right of the page that shows the HTML, Screenshot, and More Info. Maybe you can solve this issue by looking at those details?
I also included a link to a screen shot of apparently what Google sees on mobile and it looks horrible even though the website looks perfect when using my device!
Thank you.

Hi noventa90,
I have tested this code and it does work on my end (the logo will not change when resizing the browser).
Can you try to change the single quotes and double quotes and see if it helps?
Also, I’m not really noticing any difference between the mobile logo and desktop logo in terms of design, maybe CSS code would be enough in this case, try adding this code in Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS:@media only screen and (max-width:479px) { .responsive .logo img, .responsive .logo svg { max-width: 180px; } }Let us know if this helps.

Hi Anish,
Thanks for contacting us!
1. Yes it’s possible
2. Please login to your account on ThemeForest and go to Enfold’s page – https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990 and purchase it.
3. Since you have downloaded the theme from other sources, it is possible that it might contain some malwares, I would suggest switching to a default WordPress theme and deleting the enfold theme, upload the enfold theme you have downloaded from themeforest (if you have made some tweaks on the site, please backup your site first).
4. Did you make some modification to the Enfold theme? if yes, then consider moving those tweaks on a child theme, you can download our child theme here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/
Also, what version of Enfold are you using?Best regards,

Hi Franz,
You can add a script to the head section using this code snippet and add it to functions.php of your child theme:
//------------------------------- // Custom script in head section //------------------------------- function custom_script_name(){ ?> <script> // Your script here </script> <?php } add_action('wp_head', 'custom_script_name');For further information on this topic, please refer to our docs: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/add-custom-js-or-php-script/#add-a-script-to-head-section
Also, the is_search() only triggers when a search result page archive is being displayed.

Hi ichmusshierweg,
Please do the following:
- Google now requires you to enable billing for the API key to work.
- Check if you typed the API key correctly.
- If you use the restriction setting on Google try to remove that and check if it works.
- Create a new unrestricted API key and try again, if the old key is not working for you.
- Check if GeoCoding service is enabled.
- If none of this helps: deactivate all plugins and then check if the API key works.
For further information please check our docs: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/google-map/#could-not-connect-to-google-maps-with-this-api-key

Hi Marcus,
We apologize for the delayed response.
1/ CSS
Where can this be added at theme level?
You can add it via Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS2/ Adding code in head tag
If I need to add any tracking code in a head tag other than Google, where can this be added
Go to Enfold > Google Services > Google Analytics Tracking Code, and add your code
For further information please check our documentation: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/google-analytics/3/ Perfomance
Do you encourage to activate the he image optimisation plugins suggested for image and cache
Yes, however different server setup as well as site setup might cause some conflict, we suggest enabling the options one by one (or by batch) and test, if there are conflicts try disabling minifications or lazyloading4/ SEO
Do you suggest any preferred SEO plugins that work well with the theme
Yes, you can use Yoast SEO or RankMath plugin5/ ReCaptcha
Is it easy to get APi keys for ReCaptcha or can you simply enable recaptcha for each form. What is best practice
Yes, it’s easy to get recaptcha API keys, you’ll need to get it from https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin, then enable recaptcha on the theme via Enfold > Google Services > Select if you want to use Google reCAPTCHA, you’ll need to enable recaptcha as well on the contact form.6/ Pop up box on entry to accept cookies
Is there anything in the theme that sets an auto pop-up to accept cookies etc.
Yes, go to Enfold > Privacy & Cookies, for further instructions please check: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/privacy-cookies/Best regards,
