Hi, I would like to remove the header from the site so that I can put a completely different header image in and use the uber menu plugin directly below it in the center. I want it to look similar to the “coming soon” page but to show the footer and not to load the content from the middle of the page. Is this possible?
If not, how do I completely disable the enfold header and I will just load the details in an element.
Or how do i center the logo and the menu and add a background colour?

YigitI’m trying to create a fully https served site. Everything works fine, but I cant fully lock down the https because I get the following message in the console
Blocked loading mixed active content “http://…name….com/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/enfold.css?ver=1”
This makes the site run in partial https mode. Any idea how to fix this?

YigitTopic: Full-width colour sections
Hi, I’m trying to build a page with alternating full-width colour sections.
As per the example here: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/pages/landing-page/
Now I can’t use the advanced layout editor because it’s not flexible enough for my purposes, so I’m trying to figure out the correct use of short-codes, I’ve currently got this:
[av_section etc..'] Content & various shortcode elements with a full width background colour/image [/av_section] Content & various shortcode elements WITHOUT a full width background colour [av_section etc..'] Content & various shortcode elements width a full width background colour/image [/av_section]But what’s happening is that the entire pages’ content and even footer area then sits within a .container wrap that is not full page width. This is obviously not what I want. Any ideas?

EDIT: So after some investigation, I see the pages created with the ‘advanced layout editor’ use the ‘template-builder.php’ template, whereas hand created pages are using the default ‘page.php’. I tried overwriting the contents of ‘page.php’ with ‘template-builder.php’, and while it mostly works, it just strips out any custom HTML I’ve inserted into a particular page.

You are currently using Enfold version 1.8.2. Please update it to version 2.3.2. There has been many small bug fixes and improvements in the theme since 1.8.2. Let us know if issue remains after updating

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_RETURN, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 17
Really frustrated, as our schedule is being looked at constantly on the website – it’s the most important page (our event is coming up!)

The only reason posts get deleted is if they are duplicates and even then we usually just close a duplicate topic. Looking through your posts/topics I don’t see any that were deleted so not sure what happened.
As for the issue, you’ll need to use a robots.txt file to tell google and other search engines what not to index. See: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/google-indexing-the-enfold-theme-folders/ where Peter gives an example of the rules he uses.

Dude… what is the bst way to update to the latest version of Enfold? I don’t know where to get the latest version either (unless by default the downloadable file in my Themeforest account is updated to the latest automatically).
Great theme – I am about to finish the styling of my site. For the portfolio grid I would love to display the category right below the item title. I have found a similar thread for angus theme (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/category-display-under-portfolio-post-titles/) and hope there might be an easy solution for enfold as well?

Hi Liminalty!
Topics get closed automatically after no responses to prevent pulling up outdated topics. Performance with WordPress isn’t something that can be covered quickly. Its a pretty extensive topic because of how flexible WordPress is and how different plugins and themes are coded.
With Enfold, by itself there isn’t any major issue with its performance unless you are on a low end budget server which tend to be shared with hundreds of other sits all running on the same grid.
In general, you can use a caching plugin to cache your page data as well as minify the scripts the theme and plugins use. It all needs to be done manually but its the best way outside of upgrading your server to get better performance.

1) There isn’t currently an option to filter by tags so right now it isn’t doable.
2) Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

Using site:http://kriesi.at and then enfold $searchterm will give you at least a more specific way to search for Enfold Q and A.

YigitI don’t know of any off hand but I’m sure there is something in the WordPress plugin repository that will work for you.
Kriesi is constantly working on new features for Enfold but with how flexible the theme is it isn’t as easy to add things in like with other themes. For the portfolio items there would need to be a new secondary field for video urls or something like that. Then iframe fixes for displaying them in a grid, cross browser compatibility etc. So it can take a bit of time :)

I’m not sure that would be easily doable actually. Right now the image type icon will be displayed if there is no featured image: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/blog/blog-grid/ but the hover icon comes from the effect across all image links. With related posts, its a different loop entirely.
If its something you really need done I would suggest a freelance developer who should be able to get the effect accomplished in a few hours.

The logo does NOT shrink in Windows 8.0 (Chrome) — BUT the logo DOES shrink in Windows 8.1 Preview (Chrome).
So your demo and my site don’t shrink in Win8.0 – BUT their logos DO shrink in Win 8.1
