Topic: Problems with permalinks
Hello all, I’m experiencing some problems with permalinks. If select post-name option, I get error 404 with all the pages except homepage.
I tried deactivating all plugins and the problem persists.
The only way to make the site work is using default settings in permalinks.
I’m using WP 3.8, Enfold 2.4.4, woocommerce 2.0, WPML 3.0.1
Any help is more than welcome.
FIXED. Minor change in .htaccess file.

The style settings though were not imported correctly. All the buttons and the hyperlink keep having the default green in Enfold and not the blue I set as standard in the Parent theme.In reply to: "go to top" button is gone!

Hi phaseonebarbers!
In this specific case developing locally is probably not a good idea. You could export the database each time and then re-import it but doing so often is just leaving you open to a small error happening and that causing issues for you down the road.
I would suggest setting up a live development installation at somewhere like Bluehost. You can get setup for a month for under $30 and then do an export of the database later on if you need to move everything to a different domain: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/

Hey targetzero!
Sounds like you may have a plugin or an extension of Jetpack on which is causing an issue with the theme. Enfold by default lets you choose the layout you want and one of those is a Fixed layout with no responsive functionality.
There isn’t however any settings to disable or switch between a mobile version and a desktop version.

When you say you set the home page to nothing, do you mean you set it to “Your latest posts” or just unset the front page? Try both setting that to Your Latest Posts with the home page and blog set in the theme settings and the opposite setting the home page and blog from WordPress and not set at all in the theme options.

When I saw their was an update available (2.4.4 to 2.4.5), I started the update and got the message: “Fout opgetreden tijdens het bijwerken van Enfold: Map kan niet aangemaakt worden.”
In English: Error when upgrading from Enfold: Folder couldn’t be created.
My website does work with the theme, so did the update fail or not?

Are you meaning the Ajax portfolio view or something else? Can you provide a link to the page so we can take a look at exactly what kind of setup you have now and point to an example of what isn’t working.

Exporting your database using WP MIGRATE DB is the best way that I know of and why I recommended it in the docs: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/
As long as the settings are correct it should export them without issue. The only other thing I can think of that might cause an issue is if the new server has different settings than your local server.
Aside from that I’m not sure what else we could suggest as this has worked for me on my client work as well as the other support crew when working local to live.

Topic: Mega Menu Breaks
Hi,
I was hoping that we could get some help with an issue we keep having related to our site’s mega menus. When we add new pages or links to the main menu, all of the mega menus break and show the articles in a horizontal list across the screen, covering site text and not making the menus functional. I go to the “Customize” feature under Appearances to look at the Navigation tab, and the Enfold Main Menu no longer has a menu selected. I then select main menu from the list and save it. The site mega menus go back to normal, however, if I add another item to the menu, it breaks and I have to repeat the process. Any thoughts on why this might be happening or how to fix the problem?

Greatly appreciated!Looking for some assistance with figuring out the best way to adjust the 1/3rd COLUMN layout on the HOMEPAGE (only) in order to replicate the layout seen on the home page of the following website http://brenebrown.com/ — where the left and right photos are flush to the edge of the container AND the photos can remain their original SIZE of 360 width x 240 height. Our plan is to do the exact same setup of having two rows of 3 pictures.
(Note: we DID adjust to the BOXED LAYOUT … should we also adjust to the RESPONSIVE LAYOUT LARGE 1210px max width setting?)

the search button, sitting right to the navigation is reall a bit small :)

Hi Devin,
i am not sure I understood. If you mean that after installing and activating Enfold Child theme there is a button that allows you to load all Enfold parent theme settings, it is what I have clicked and then I saw a website which looked 90% like the parent but had those things that didn’t match (button styling colors and all the oages in the menu like I specified above). I followed the link Yigit kindly provided me in another thread (http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/)
If you meant something different, I am afraid I do not understand what I need to do to have the child theme look exactly as the parent Enfold theme I currently have.
Where do I go wrong?

Topic: Mobile and Other Issues
Is there a place where you turn mobile on and off for the Enfold theme? If there is, I don’t see it.
Here is the issue:
1. When I log on using my Samsung Note 3 (or Note 2) phone, I see the full site. On occasion, I see what appears to be a mobile view, but it’s all short code. I’m using the Chrome and Native browser for he Samsung and get the results on both.
2. I also experienced (today) the mobile view with only short code on my regular PC desktop computer using Chrome. At the footer, I see a link to view the full site. I could only make this go away when I logged in to the back end. And now, I see the link to view the mobile site at the footer. This does not occur on FireFox.

Please login on ThemeForest with the account you have purchased Enfold and go to Downloads to download the latest version then update the theme manually

YigitShortcode stacking isn’t quite supported yet but you could generate the shortcode for each slider in another page and then paste it into the tab. I’m not sure if it will work completely however.
Another option would be to use another slider plugin like NextGen and see if you can just paste the slideshow shortcode from that into the tab section.

Once u insert ur tabs how do u add an easy slider inside of each tab, there is no avia editor inside tabs so I have no clue how can I implement an slider gallery for each of the sections.
