I am using Woocommerce with Enfold. Love the theme – really clean.
I am using one of Woocommerce’s plugins – bundles. In the shop, for some reason the “Show Details” rollover does not show for bundled products, but for simple products this “button” is shown. I have contacted Woocommerce support, but they think it is a theme issue, which I tend to agree with having swapped themes temporarily.
I have searched your forum, but can’t find any solution, so I hope this question isn’t repeating someone else’s question and I just haven’t searched thoroughly enough!!

How can I install a child theme. The enfold docs are a bit too old for my question ;-)

Firstly, I love your theme. It’s absolutely amazing. You guys are geniuses.
I just redid most of my site and it’s looking good, but I’ve just gotten around to the woocommerce section and my stomach sank because Enfold doesn’t seem to like a Woocommerce plugin that I need for displaying multiple images per product variation, Woothumbs. The plugin worked great with my last theme but on Enfold I can’t seem to change the default image size on the product page no matter what I do…
I resized with Woocommerce settings.
I added another thumbnail size.
I regenerated everything multiple times.Is there something else I can do to get the plugin to work as it did with my other themes?

1) Afaik Kriesi updated the framework folder (especially wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/avia_shortcodes/) and the config-templatebuilder folder to maintain the WP3.9 compatibility.
2) If you update the config-templatebuilder folder the new shortcodes will be registered automatically and you can use them. A complete change log of all changed files can be found here (scroll to the bottom): http://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990?ref=Zweistein

About the 12 hours update, I’m pretty much sure that it is not the case, as I updated yesterday to Enfold 2.7.1 from Enfold 2.6.1.
As for the API key, I copied/pasted the API code, and triple (at least) checked it. Of course, there is always room for an error here, but shouldn’t the message be “incorrect User/Key pair” instead of “No Updates available. You are running the latest version! Great!” in this case?
Well, since the theme is now up-to-date, I guess there is little I can check now. I’ll probably have to wait for the next update to ask again…

We always bundle the latest version of LayerSlider with Enfold and a separate license is not required. I recommend to save the money and if you really want to buy a slider plugin you can try or http://codecanyon.net/item/master-slider-wordpress-responsive-touch-slider/7467925?ref=Zweistein or http://codecanyon.net/item/slider-revolution-responsive-wordpress-plugin/2751380?ref=Zweistein which enable you to create different slideshows.

PeterTopic: Edit and lock footer?
How do i edit the content that goes in the footer? I can’t seem to find that option.
I can add widget, but i can’t really edit those.Also, on pages with little to no content, the footer and socket becomes huge, is there a way to lock them to a defined size on every page?
I added the enfold facebook likebox, but the border and content is the same color as the footer, how do i change that?

@hermelina – ich empfehle ebenfalls per ftp zu aktualisieren: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750 falls die Envato API nicht erreichbar sein sollte oder aufgrund von anderen Problemen (Schreibrechte, etc.) das Update nicht ausgeführt werden kann.
@Chris – ja, wenn du die avia.js im Enfold Ordner modifizierst, dann muss diese nach jeden Update abgeändert werden. Man kann die modifizierte avia.js aber auch aus einem Child Theme Ordner laden – siehe: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/header-removal-remove-scrollto-top-offset/#post-248674
Jedoch ist zu beachten, dass wir auch manchmal die avia.js aktualisieren und dann muss natürlich auch die avia.js im Child Theme Ordner geändert werden. Es empfiehlt sich daher den changelog anzusehen (immer hier http://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990?ref=Zweistein weiter unten zu finden), damit ihr ggf wisst, dass die avia.js auch von dem Update betroffen ist.Best regards,

We did check the site on Chrome and Firefox Windows 8 but it’s not happening there so we’re not entirely sure what’s causing this on your end. Maybe, a hardware lag or something? Please deactivate all plugins then test it again. If you don’t mind, please provide us with a link to your websites. We would like to check it. Make sure that you’re running WP 3.9 plus the latest version of Enfold which is 2.7.1. You might also want to increase the wordpress php memory limit to at least 128M. Depending on your hosting environment you might experience an issue when trying to access the Advance Layout Builder. This is usually due to the builder timing out because of a memory limit in your server environment. The first thing you can do to fix this is to add the following lines in your wp-config.php file located at the root of wp directory:
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' ); define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );You can also contact your host if you’re not comfortable doing the adjustments yourself. Refer to this link for more info: http://dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/

I run enfold on another site too: http://www.timhester.com.au and I have the same issue there, confirming that it is indeed an issue. The submenu’s of a Mega Menu cannot be accessed by clicking the parent menu item on an iPhone (I’m guessing any phone, but only have iPhone to test, tried two version – 3GS, and iPhone 4)
Try the “Buy Stock Images” menu on that site, you cannot access the submenu’s on a mobile.
Please help! I have purchased Enfold multiple times and recommend it to clients, I love it, but do need more assistance with this issue.

and more problems we’ve encountered since updated to 2.7 enfold, several of the styling code in layout.css are not working properly. Such as: display: none !important or minor color changes regarding the look of our site.

I have just updated Word Press to 3.9 – and to the latest Enfold update. Thankfully the double window does not seem to be happening anymore and all looks to be working well again. I hope that will handle it. I wanted to alert you…I’ll let you know if it appears again.

Here is a site I just started developing – it is going to have an e-commerce element via WooCommerce: http://coffeeworks.com/wordpress/.
I mention the WooCommerce aspect to avoid potential conflicts and errors as I am developing.
As you can see, I’d like to have a background image (100% width) for the site, with content on top of it, However, the “container” class, which seems the candidate for getting the result I am seeking, is also used in the footer and I believe in other elements as well – so this isn’t working as intended.
Is there a solution that will get me the result I am hoping for and hold up to theme updates?

I am using Enfold v2.7.1. I have the “Advanced Layerslider” element on the homepage. I currently have two slides in the slider.
However, though playing correctly in the preview, it isn’t moving on to the 2nd slide live. I’ve checked it with Firefox and Chrome.

I’m getting these weird bars/line showing up on screen when I scroll up or down on any of the pages (see link)
I turned all the plugins off, and no difference. It seems to be a browser conflict as the site works fine in Firefox and Safari.

Make sure you are on version 2.7.1 of the Enfold theme. If you have any plugins active try deactivating them and then clear your browser cache since it could have the old TinyMCE files locally and they need to get redownloaded from your installation.

Before anything else please update your theme files to the most recent version which brings the theme up to compatibility with the most recent releases of WordPress.

Regarding using absolute positioning inside your color sections I would suggest against it. Instead using negative margins on whitespace or just removing the whitespace on section elements via a bit of css is a much less destructive way of adjusting the whitespace.
Which section specifically can we see the right pixel border/padding/margin issue?

Hi There, I just updated enfold this morning . . . now there appears to be a refresh error. The theme blocks out parts of the screen and takes a long time to refresh. (I have cleared cache) . . . using chrome on a mac.
