    Hello Kriesi support!

    After a recent Enfold update, I have been getting a nonstop spinning loading wheel in my Avia Layout Builder, making it unable for me edit any of my pages. I deactivated all plugins and reactivated them one at a time and found that Scripts-To-Footer is the culprit.

    This plugin was recommended by your staff on another post in Kriesi support and, up until this point, has worked very nicely in order to help improve my Google PageSpeed score. Do you know if there is a way to fix this plugin’s compatibility with Enfold, or if there is another work around?

    Then you can simply customise many elements such as main menu links in Enfold theme options > Advanced Styling tab

    I purchased and downloaded Events Calendar Pro to use with the Enfold theme.

    I want to use the widgets, particularly the upcoming events widget in a page of the enfold theme. I’m only seeing where the widgets can be used in sidebars and footers, which is limiting.

    Is there a way to accomplish this?

    Please firstly turn on custom CSS field for ALB elements ( see – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/ ) and then edit your text block element and give it a unique class. then add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab

    .your-custom-class.avia_textblock { background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.6); padding: 10px; }

    This is actually an Avia issue, not enfold, but you don’t seem to have an Avia forum section.

    I was just playing around with your pricing tables. Btw, I’m grateful that you can use them as data tables as well (pricing tables always look cool in the demo, but my data is very rarely the same shape — basically i think pricing tables are just too specialized).

    Anyway, I was just playing around and I noticed that when you resize the window to mobile size, and the tables re-sort into a vertical display, the data is quite out of order.

    I just thought you might want to know about it, so here’s an example:

    How do I setup my “Blog” and “Archive for Category” to show excerpts only? Here’s what I have setup now.

    I have created the page “Blog”. Using the Avia Layout Builder, I have inserted the Element “Blog Posts” and set the element to show “Excerpt With Read More Link”

    In Theme Settings > And where do you want to display the Blog? >, I have set it to “Blog”

    Settings > Reading, is default

    With the above setup, the “Blog” and “Archive for Category” is still showing the full post content.
    I would like the same function as the Enfold Blog demo at http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/blog/

    Can anyone recommend the best method in Enfold to present what amounts to a weekly video blog entry?

    Each week my church video records and publishes online our Sunday sermon as a video message. The messages are grouped together in a Sermon Series, so each Series needs a landing page featuring the most recent video, and links to view the other videos in the Series. There also needs to be a Series Archive page that has a gallery linking to each Sermon Series. An example of this being done by another church is here.

    I tried using the Portfolio item feature, where each week’s video message is a Portfolio Item, and the Series of portfolio items is a Category. This gets me close to what I’m looking for, but I’ve encountered a few problems:

    • the portfolio item page requires a featured image if I want the portfolio entry to have a graphic elsewhere on the site, but adding the featured image places the image at the top of my portfolio page where I don’t want it (because the video is already there)
    • using the Blog Posts tool to feature the latest video message gives me the Featured Image rather than a viewable video that plays in the page

    I feel like treating each week’s sermon as a blog entry of some sort is the right direction to go, but, being new to Enfold (and building web sites at all), I am having difficulty dialing it in. Any advice?

    I am trying to figure how I can make a a box area to type some text in with the background being a smokey see through color. A good example of this would be the slider used in this link: http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold.

    The Super Flexible Layout Builder on slide three is what I am looking for, something like that I can use in the website content area.

    I know I can create a slider and place it anyplace in the site, I am just looking for a simple box in this case.

    What would work is if I could put a color section element inside of a layout element but that is not an option.

    Topic: intermittent problem with parallax color section since last Enfold update

    Ever since the last Enfold update I’ve been seeing an aggravating, intermittent problem with a parallax color section.

    The background image sometimes (but not always) appears shifted far below where it’s supposed to be. So most of the color section is dark grey, with the top of my image peeking out at the bottom of the section.

    At some point it rights itself, and looks fine thereafter.

    Since I use Chrome often, that’s where I see it. I haven’t seen it in Firefox or Safari, but since it’s intermittent and since I don’t use those browsers much, i can’t say for sure that the problem is Chrome-specific.

    The problem appears on this page: http://kenblackman.com. The empty color section in the middle of the page.

    I can provide a screenshot of the problem if that would help; LMK the best way to do.

    Thank you for any help that you can provide.

    Ok, I was able to implement the avia.js edit solution for including external website iframes in the new lightbox feature for Enfold 2.9. However, the old simple way of setting the height and width of the lightbox in the old PrettyPhoto plugin has also changed. Is there a way to bring this feature back? Looking around, it might require setting a hard class attribute, but that is far from ideal.

    Also, if an image with lightbox selection is large enough to come underneath a nav dropdown, it will interfere with the dropdown, preventing the user from accessing it. Is there a z-index that must perhaps be changed to prevent this interference?

    Is there a reason these were turned off? I don’t want to created more problems for myself.

    Thank you for using our theme.

    By default this is not supported.

    You will have to change the code in

    enfold/includes/loop_index.php line 105 and move this after the content section (line 186).

    that would make thumbnails not clickable. We would recommend using watermark on your images :)
