IsmaelHave tried installing Enfold on my site with no luck. Tried downloading just wordpress zip file, doesn’t work. Tried downloading full file, zipping enfold folder and uploading, nope. Tried FTP’ing the enfold folder into the /wp-content/themes folder, no luck at all.

Thank you for using Enfold.
You can still scroll through the menu even if the content is much shorter than the mobile menu. This is also true on an actual mobile device. Just swipe up to scroll down the menu.

You should probably contact your host to do the changes for you. They will know what to do. Please tell them that you need to increase the max_input_vars option to 2000 or more because your menu are not being saved properly. FTP is a way of transferring files using a software like FileZilla etc. Please refer to this link for more info: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

I’d like to have a widget area that follows the user down the page (a sticky widget). I wanted to use the Q2W3 Fixed Widget plugin that would allow that but it doesn’t seem to work with the Enfold theme. Is there a bit of code that I could add to the functions.php that says that once a widget item is 20px from the top of the screen that it will stay fixed there while you scroll down the rest of the blog?

You can find the shortcodes on config-templatebuilder > avia-shortcodes folder. If you want to create a double line, edit heading.php on the said folder then look for this code on line 232:

Topic: bbPress vs. UPME vs. Enfold
The basics:
- I have UPME & bbPress installed
- I’m using the Enfold WP Theme
- Users can upload avatar images ONLY through the frontend (UPME Profile Page)
The problem:
- Avatars will not resized through the correct size (14×14 px) in the bbPress editing Log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fu7gkeeaepo5c5t/editing_log.png
- Avatars will not resized through the correct size (14×14 px) in the bbPress latest replies sidebar widget: https://www.dropbox.com/s/unofw5c4nrxh3st/sidebar_widget.png
- Avatars uploaded through the backend are working fine
Any ideas how to fix this?

Topic: Weird glitches
Not sure if it’s latest WordPress update or latest Enfold update but got some *weird* glitches going on in my live site (been up a year working fine) site is http://www.thenps.com
First of all drop caps now fill the width of whatever they are in so if it’s a full page then they are full page too!
Second my blog widget latest posts have distorted featured images
Third my blog post navigation is screwed up – looks like this in FireFox
and like this in Safari
And lastly my breadcrumbs are overspilling the line below (all bunched up)

I have searched through your forums and found a site that has properly implemented Enfold with Diverse Solutions IDX Plugin. I’d like to know how it was done. I can’t get the search box dropdown and the features filters to look right on Safari, and I had to tweak a lot of css to get it to look decent on Chrome.

As you can see the search box dropdown at the top displays properly, including the features filters checkboxes, on both Chrome and Safari, based on my testing. I can’t get mine to look like this in Safari.
If you look at my page in Safari, you will see that the search box breaks – its expanded by default and the filters are out of line (see private content). I also included a video in the private content.

It looks like a js conflict with WP 4 and Enfold, other themes I’ve tested on WP 4 are fine. Also I’ve just installed Enfold on WP 3.9.2 and it seems fine on that platform – so far.
Topic: Version Update
Hi, I have a problem about the missing shortcode button.
I don’t have any solution, but I just want to be trying to update my enfold theme to latest version to fix the issue.Now my theme version is 2.6.1 but it is not updated automatically.
So I found the video tutorial (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/latest-enfold-theme-update/).
Here is my question.
Is it okay to upload the new version “enfold” folder directly to current folder via FTP even if I edited some html files?
Actually I changed some codes of enfold theme already, so I don’t want to remove the current design of my website.If there are some other ways to update the theme, please let me know.

Hm – I just read through this thread because I have the same issue (also when running WordPress SEO by Yoast). Of all the above replies by the Kriesi team, what is the recommended fix exactly? My errors are as follows (the *** are just hiding the names of the directories)…

I would like to have a Special Heading style that uses double lines instead of a single line. I tried to figure this out, but something conflicted with the theme’s code. Got the double lines (top border and bottom border) to work but it was wrapping to another line. Tried taking the code from Chrome – couldn’t get it to work.
I don’t expect you to write code for me … but could you give me a clue about where your styles are in the css and dependancies and such?
Or, just a clue on where I can see the code behind the short code for Special Heading. When I open sample demo docs in WP – it goes to the ALB and I can’t see any code.
Did I miss this in the documentation.
Is there a video or tutorial for this these of customization? Something more than just changing a color.
Sorry – but you can understand how difficult and how long it would take for me to “back interpret” all the Enfold CSS. Not what I anticipate when purchasing a theme. At least, not what I’ve come to expect.

I too am having issues in wp-admin with many javascript functions not working. I am using WordPress 4.0-beta3 with an Enfold 2.9.1 child theme in a localhost (MAMP) environment with no custom functions, no custom css and no plugins enabled. The problems are many and various in Firefox and Chrome and include:Widgets not opening for editing
Advanced layout editor hanging
Screen options tab not opening
Unable to save theme options set when accessed from the left hand menuSorry, but I’m so disappointed and frustrated. I’m not getting how the ALB is easy to customized. Or how anyone with even a mediocre knowledge of WP will be happy with the options provided by this theme. It is completely different experience than dozens of other themes I’ve bought and sacrifices even the finest bit of customization to fit in your limited number of options. The marketing copy you have on theme forest is very misleading.
Here are some very basic things I wanted:
1. Add a double line (border) to “special header” instead of the single line
2. Add a semi-transparent background around a three-column layout.
3. Add some styling to a text frame – a shadow.If I use the ALB – I’m stuck with the options you give. Switching from the ALB to the default editor – I lose my work.
What advantage is the ALB if I lose my work whenever I try to look at the code. I can layout a page from scratch in half the time – IF I have examples from the theme developer. Usually I take an example (demo) page and look at the source code – then copy and paste to match my needs.
But when I look at a sample demo page from Enfold – all I see is the ALB. If I switch to Text view – blank page.
Without samples – I have to start from scratch (which I tried but found conflicts with the css styles from the theme.)
Do you have any of the THEME STYLES available without using the ALB? Why can’t I use the ALB to add the basic layout and then switch into text editor to style the content. ??This theme was sold on how EASY it is. But now I’m stuck building everything from scratch with no example pages. Big disappointment. Sorry.

I think we have tried all different ways and it ended in javascript errors when using a playlist. I work for an artists management and we would like to get all our artists a website with enfold – but the default music player is a must have, as it is the easiest way for them to add music in a batch.

Understandable and with 2.8.1 to 2.9.1 there should be no issues. The only one we’ve ever had a big non-backwards type issue with was when the new header layout options were added and Kriesi had to remove the old dropdown menu style for mobile.

Thanks Devin. I didn’t change anything in the main theme, nor I created a child theme. I changed some CSS, but I did it separately, without touching Enfold at all.
I was asking before upgrading because I tend to guarantee and expect full backward compatibility, but I noticed that such expectation is not met way too often in WordPress environment. :)
