Also, I am unable to change any widgets (the column 1 ,2,3 etc. can’t be edited … not “clickable”)
I find bugs like this happen from time to time and usually wait for a fix from either a plugin, wordpress or enfold … it’s been like this around 10 days or so since upgrade to wordpress (around same time upgrade to latest yoast and themes plugins) … I’ve got both most recent enfold updates, wordpress update, and have turned off all plugins …
looks as though lots of issues reported recently … I guess there is a known issue by now??

Thank you for your help. And just so I know, if there is an update with LayerSlider, is it automatically updated through Enfold?
There is apparently a flaw in enfold dealing with the full-width layer slider, when the 2-level top menu is used. Please keep looking at the examples I’ve showed UNTIL you see it. It is a major problem our programmer has tried and failed to find a workaround for. The only ones who can’t seem to see the effect are Kriesi moderators. Please help me be less frustrated – give me a phone number to call, or just look at the stuff provided, really look, read what I’ve said, and please help. There is no way in english I can think of to describe it any better, and you have a picture of it as well as access to the site. Please do not assume no problem exists.

As far as I can tell, these problems began on 9/4. They appear to be related to the Yoast SEO plugin. I’ve contacted Yoast and they recommended I report these issues here as well.
1) Permalinks for Portfolio Pages are randomly changed to titles from posts when editing a Portfolio Page, resulting in a URL change. I originally noticed this when strange URLs appeared in Google Analytics. For example, the page “/portfolio-item/lifetopix-app” was changed to “/portfolio-item/best-practices-for-getting-things-done-prioritizing-tasks-in-lifetopix”
2) Excerpt and Preview text is stripped from Portfolio Pages when you open and save a Portfolio Page; therefore, top level pages that include this text were stripped of the text.
3) All SEO settings are stripped from Portfolio Pages when opened and saved. I have not tried to modify regular Pages with the plugin enabled – disabled it as soon as the bugs were discovered. Once the plugin was disabled, all issues with changing permalinks were resolved.
Anyone else seeing this problem and is there a fix? It is rather serious. I really don’t want to switch to a different plugin.

How are you not seeing it after I just described it? Look at the buttons. Look at the dolphin picture, the buttons are overlapping it. Please count them, there are 8 menu buttons and some of them are inside the dolphin image. We need to allow the user to see them
Is there no way I can get tech support on this? The site is built on enfold but can’t go live while it’s screwing up this badly.

I understand your request, but unfortunately implementing this to the Easy Slider would require a deep modification to theme which is something we can’t cover. As an alternative, i found out that RevSlider has this option (lazy load), you could give it a try (it has built-in integration with Enfold).

JosueThere is no option for “default” on the sidebar option in Theme settings. The only choices are “left sidebar”, “right sidebar”, or “no sidebar”.
Regardless of the theme settings – if I change the settings on an individual page under that pages “Layout” options, it should not affect the sidebar settings on a different page / post as the choices on individual pages are exactly that…. settings for that page only.
This is a bug of some sort as all I did was change the settings on the “Shop” page (not in the theme settings) from “default” to “no sidebar” and it forced the WooCommerce Sidebar to be hidden on the Individual Item post pages.
I am still left with my issue of not being able to disable the sidebar on my “shop” page as it is affecting things other than that page.

Two questions about my (static) front page html:
Question 1. Adding alt tag to fullscreen slider image on front page
On my front page, I am using an image inside the fullscreen slider and would like to have the alt tag included. My image has an alt tag applied in the media library.

Question 2. Using this theme, I see that I have no h1 on my front page.
I use a logo for my company name, the caption inside of the slider is an h2 and the remaining content on the front is h2 or smaller. Is there a consensus about the need for an h1 tag on the front page? I have a title which includes my business name and tagline, and my logo image has an alt tag with my business name. Is there a need to create an h1 on the front page? If so, how?Thanks for all the help you have been providing as I learn this new theme.

Also, what’s happened to the text on the page? On your sample version of this, http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio/portfolio-ajax/, it appears to drop the text “Portfolio Entry! Nulla consequat massa…” and only show the Accordion.

Borkent, I am running Enfold 2.9.2 / WP3.8
once I did the theme update to 2.9.2, most plug-ins stopped working.
Two Questions before the upgrade:
I am using enfold 3.9.2
1. Is it safe to upgrade regarding enfold compatibility?
2. If I made customisations to functions.php and other files should I update automatically or via ftp ?

I suggested changing the theme to the default WordPress one (twenty fourteen) and try to reproduce the issue, that way we can discard if the problem is related to Enfold or not.

soooo….. somehow I seem to have fixed it. But I’m not sure how. I moved both widgets (Twitter & Instagram) back and forth between the “Displayed Everywhere” area and the “Enfold Custom Widget Area” (which is where they started out), and on the 4th or so move back, they snapped in. I don’t really understand how these two areas work, so I thought perhaps I had the wrong one – but they’re back where they started out. Please go in and have a look, ‘cuz this was very odd behavior.

You’d be able to set a custom container width in Enfold 3.0, in the meantime, i’d suggest recompiling the css/grid.less file to match your requirements, you can use this online compiler for that:
http://lesstester.com/Just change the @maxWidth values, compile it and copy the resulting content (right) to the css/grid.css file.

I’ve just recognized, that the Socialmedia-Sharing-Button for Twitter is always using the default name of the post “?p=12345” in the URI, the other social-buttons use the correct site-URI. You are also having this issue on your Enfold-Demo. Is this intended?regards, Lars

Yes, you should add your custom CSS code to Quick CSS field inside Enfold theme options > General Styling tab or Custom.css file inside Enfold/Css folder of your theme or Style.css of your child theme. Please do not forget to add the dot in front of the class

Topic: WooCommerce cart
Hi,
I have some questions about the WooCommerce plugin that I could not find in their user guide.
First is it possible to fix the chart icon in the header or put it in the secondary header? As it is now the icon hide every time and do not show the number of items there are in the cart.
Second I created some product variations but when I select the variation e.g. colour red in the product front page the button that appear to add the item to the cart says “Buy” instead of e.g. “Add to the cart”. How could I change the tittle of the button?
Also WooCommerce is not very flexible in term of layout as their default product page does not allow to do any advance editor layout. Do you know any more flexible e-commerce plugging that works with the enfold theme?

Topic: unable to upload pictures
I’m running enfold 2.9.2 and wordpress 4.0 and I can’t upload pictures. I keep getting HTTP error. code when trying to upload.
I deactivated all plugins and it still won’t work. Ideas?
I have read lots of posts about quick CSS and editing colour schemes – also about not touching anything in the main them (enfold) but only to use the child theme.
So where EXACTLY do I change the style of the h3 headings to get rid of the rule that appears after the heading?
Looking at the source code it has the class special-heading-inner-border
Despite searching I can’t see any exact policy as to where things like this get edited.
Am I meant to do a QuickCSS and put something like this:
special-heading-inner-border { border-color: #FFFFFF; }But how would this OVERRIDE the current setting of border-color: #666666; ?
I am sure there must be instructions on how to make this sort of change – plus others like padding and margin changes?
Is there a manual I am missing?
