Hi,
Thanks for the link to your site, it looks like you are using v5.7.1 this is quite old and may not be good with the current WordPress version.
I recommend first creating a staging site to test on, most cPanel webhosts have a staging site option, some in the dashboard:

Others add the option in the Softaculous WordPress Management

There may be other staging site options in different cPanel servers, these are the two that I have seen.
Then you can test the update on your new staging site and your live site will stay online.
Then to update your version of Enfold you will need to download the latest installable WP version from your Theme Forest account and upload it to your WordPress ▸ Appearance ▸ Themes ▸ Add Themes ▸ Add New

after you choose the zip file and click install, you will see a This theme is already installed message because you are updating, you can continue

then you will see the Theme updated successfully message.

If this staging site works fine then do the same for your live site, if you see errors on your staging site then post the admin login so we can check.
I don’t think that you will have errors, but it is better to be safe.
Best regards,
Mike
Hi,
themeSG I assume that you are also sybille gburek for us it looks like two different users.
So assuming that germandirect.org is your site, if so it is v4.2.1 we are now at 6.0.2. so you must update.
Does your site look correct now? I’m not sure. I assume that you have not modified any theme files as it looks like you are not using a child theme, if you know that some theme files were modified by a developer then these modifications will be lost. I doubt this, but must tell you.
OK, so at your point I recommend first creating a staging site to test on, most cPanel webhosts have a staging site option, some in the dashboard:

Hi,
Thanks for the links to your pages, try this CSS in your Enfold Theme Options ▸ General Styling ▸ Quick CSS field:
@media only screen and (max-width: 425px) {
#top #wrap_all #main .avia-slideshow .av-slideshow-caption .avia-caption-title,
#top #wrap_all #main .avia-slideshow .av-slideshow-caption .avia-caption-content p,
#top #main .avia-slideshow .av-slideshow-caption .avia-caption-content {
font-size: 20px;
margin: 0;
}
.html_header_transparency #top #main .avia-builder-el-0 .slideshow_caption {
padding-top: 0;
}
}
After applying the css, please clear your browser cache and check.
Best regards,
Mike
Hey richard918,
I have checked the site above and indeed your version is 3.8 unfortunately this is very old and you must update to v6.0.2
I assume that you have not modified any theme files as it looks like you are not using a child theme, if you know that some theme files were modified by a developer then these modifications will be lost. I doubt this, but must tell you.

Hi Enforld Team and Developers,
nach dem Enfold Update eine alten Website, werden viele Code-Teile mit Inline CSS beim Öffnen der Blöcke (z.B. Code- oder Text-Element) verändert.
Vorher:
<ul style="list-style-type: none; margin-left: 02px; padding-top: 8px; padding-bottom: 12px; padding-left: 0px;">
<li style="display: flex; margin-bottom: 12px;">
<span style="font-size: 18px; color: green; white-space: nowrap; margin-right: 10px;">✔ </span>
<span style="font-size: 18px;">xzzz</span></li>
<li style="display: flex; margin-bottom: 12px;">
<span style="font-size: 18px; color: green; white-space: nowrap; margin-right: 10px;">✔ </span>
<span style="font-size: 18px;">text</span></li>
<li style="display: flex; margin-bottom: 12px;">
<span style="font-size: 18px; color: green; white-space: nowrap; margin-right: 10px;">✔ </span>
<span style="font-size: 18px;">topic</span></li>
</ul>
Nachher
<ul style="list-style-type: none; margin-left: 02px; padding-top: 8px; padding-bottom: 12px; padding-left: 0px;">
<li style="display: flex; margin-bottom: 12px;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">xzzz</span></li>
<li style="display: flex; margin-bottom: 12px;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">text</span></li>
<li style="display: flex; margin-bottom: 12px;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">topic</span></li>
</ul>
Ich verstehe den Sinn, möchte aber nicht die ganze Website neu machen.
Wo kann ich das abschalten.
BR
Ralf
English: .. after the Enfold update of an old website, many code parts with inline CSS are changed when opening the blocks.
I understand the point, but I don’t want to redo the whole website.
Where can I disable this?
P.S.: Sorry, ich habe vorher im Forum gesucht, finde wohl nicht die richtigen Suchbegriffe um fündig geworden zu sein.

Hi there,
I have the Enfold theme (version 3.8) and recently I have found that I am unable to edit pages. There is a message at the top of the page stating “This Block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.”
The error details in the email received was as follows:

Can anyone assist?
why did you set this rule?
.parent-pageid-3375 .mfp-arrow,
.parent-pageid-3375 .mfp-container {
display: none!important;
}
is that a trial to not show the enfold lightbox?
how do you embed this Essential Grid gallery to your pages?
Enfold has some triggers to hamper lightbox showing on standard enfold lightbox elements like images.
F.e.: if the gallery is inside a container with custom class: noLightbox
Hi, after upgrade to 6.0.2 I’m getting two blocks of changelog for Enfold 6.0 and Enfold 6.0.1 on every page of the Dashboard, even after dismissing both clicking the x in upper right of each block.

Hi. I am using Enfold and have a purchase code but when I try to login to support it says the code is invalid.
Envato Private Token
8oR1gHtwwN34Bd1AzlLQzqvA9qciLucz
This works and I can update the theme.
I looked at the functions.php file and there remains a language that I do not understand.
The problem was created by regularly updating the theme: I think I did it correctly, but evidently I did not. I am not a php expert and I don’t understand why updating Enfold happens this. I will move the presentation a few days, I need to fix it and at the moment I have no idea how to do it.
Footer corrected
but Enfold needs to be updated
Footer “stuck” in first staging site
Can’t restore present and correctly assigned widgets
Enfold updated (the problem arose with the update)
https://staging2.trikego.com/it/
Footer and images gone in second staging site
I deleted footer.php and hader.php in child theme
I ask you to support me until the solution, please help me.
Thank you. Best regards. Bruno
Hello,
I’ve installed Woocommerce with my Enfold template and on checkout page, the Order Notes are hidden by default and customers have to click a checkbox to display it.
I would like to have the textarea visible by default and no checkbox to toggle it.
Can you help me?
Thanks,
Best Regards

Hello, I have purchased the fabulous Enfold theme but I have had one problem so far, related to the products…
The problem is that when loading the information of a product, it keeps loading and after a while it shows the price…
The same thing happens when adding to the cart it takes a while, checking the developer option of chrome I see several admin-ajax.php libraries running…
So you can validate this and correct the error, as I am using woocomer for entries I would rather that these calculations not be reflected in the product… but only in the cart
Forgive me Rikard I am not expert and I didn’t understand dosa do: how do I activate the widgets to the foot? Let me explain: the staging site is the copy of the online site and in the online site the foot is customized with widgets. I am working in staging because previously, by upgrading the Enfold version, the site lost the customization to the foot and other customizations.
I don’t understand what I have to do to be able to customize the foot in the site in staging, using the widgets: now the foot is like I don’t see the widgets, but it stays with the default settings is this happened after I upgraded the purchased version of Enfold.
What should I delete or what should I do to use the Enfold foot normally and customize it with the widgets?
I didn’t change anything between the online site and staging, just the textual content and media, nothing about php. I rewrite, the problem arose with the theme version update and I will have to put online soon, I have to fix it but I didn’t understand your suggestions. Bear with me, thank you. Please let me know how to solve, in as much detail as possible please. Thank you Rikard
Hey Buskruit Internet,
These demo pages show the elements that are created in the backend, the shortcodes depend on the options that you choose in the elements, it is not a simple [video] that you might be thinking. We recommend using the elements, but if you want to see the shortcodes that the elements create please see our Avia Layout Builder Debugger documentation.
Best regards,
Mike
On the URL https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/video/ (and other URL’s with shortcode examples) I only see the elements, no shortcode or any documentation/explanation at all. Is this an error on your demo site?
Hi,
Try this CSS in your Enfold Theme Options ▸ General Styling ▸ Quick CSS field:
@media only screen and (max-width: 425px) {
.html_header_transparency #top .avia-builder-el-0 .slideshow_caption {
padding-top: 0;
}
#top #wrap_all #main .avia-slideshow .avia-caption-title {
font-size: 40px;
}
}
After applying the css, please clear your browser cache and check.
Best regards,
Mike
Hey lobstahhhhhhh,
It sounds like your function is only changing the standard logo and not the transparent logo, typically these are two different logos.
For the standard logo use this function:
add_filter('avf_logo','av_change_logo');
function av_change_logo($logo)
{
if(is_page(206) )
{
$logo = "https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-business-flat/wp-content/uploads/sites/43/2014/08/logo_flat_portfolio.png";
}
return $logo;
}
for the transparent logo use this function:
function av_change_alt_logo_img($header){
if(is_page(206) ){
$header['header_replacement_logo'] = "https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-startup/wp-content/uploads/sites/47/2015/02/logo_coming_soon.png";
}
return $header;
}
add_filter('avf_header_setting_filter','av_change_alt_logo_img');
If you want both to be the same image, you can also do that.
Best regards,
Mike
Hi,
To change the burger menu background to #201d1e and the lines white: Try this CSS in your Enfold Theme Options ▸ General Styling ▸ Quick CSS field:
#top .av-hamburger {
line-height: 40px;
background-color: #201d1e;
}
#top .av-burger-overlay li li .avia-bullet, #top .av-hamburger-inner,#top .av-hamburger-inner::before, #top .av-hamburger-inner::after {
background-color: #fff !important;
}
this is the expected results:

to change the social icons color to – #304d03, try this css:
#right-toolbar .social_bookmarks a {
color: #304d03;
}
this is the expected results:

when the menu is open there is no padding on the left, this is the width of the menu. For a smaller menu try this css and adjust to suit:
.html_av-overlay-side .av-burger-overlay-scroll {
width: 200px;
}
this is the expected results:

Best regards,
Mike
Hey Mimi Alonso,
You can download a child theme here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/, and you can register on the support forum here: https://kriesi.at/support/register/
Best regards,
Rikard
No absolutely haven’t done any kind of customization at all, it’s a website that was made around 5 years ago and no work of any kind has been made, other than updates. I will try to replace the Enfold theme then and let you know
I just purchased Enfold from Themeforest. When I go to download, I don’t see a child theme. How do I get that?
Thank you
Mimi AlonsoGuest
I don’t know how to download the child theme. I don’t see it.
Also, I don’t know how to post a question on the forum. Is that the only way to get support?
I just purchased Enfold from Themeforest a few minutes ago… and don’t know how to ask a question or get the child theme.
ps : i’m a bit confused about the used white svg logo – there is a lot of code inside ( working with clip-path inside is not necessary )
if you use your standard blue logo ( i optimized a bit the code ) you do not need a logo for transparency headers at all.
Because inline svg files can be ruled from outside css.
download it and use it
https://webers-testseite.de/strokmatic-logo.svg
you then can change fill page-wise for header scrolled or not etc.
(this rule works with the svg above – just insert it to your logo – and erase the transparency logo from enfold options.
.html_header_transparency #header:not(.header-scrolled) .logo svg > g {
fill: #FFF;
}
in your case for home : you got a lot of dark backgrounds ( with that header_bg settings)
so it would be nice to have here the white filled logo too.
so if all transparency header pages have dark background – that rule only will work – because you have on header scrolled and not scrolled the white fill:
.html_header_transparency #header .logo svg > g {
fill: #FFF;
}
Hi,
Thanks for that. Did you customise the theme in any way? I’m asking since the default theme header seems to replaced by something which is not created by Enfold, and the footer is completely missing as you pointed out. Could you try to replace the current theme with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account to see if that helps please?
Best regards,
Rikard
sybille gburekGuest
please could you advice me on how to update my theme as I have ENFOLD written in the head line on the menu. I need help and instruction on how to update so things will work fine again. I have a child theme so I could update the website. Thanks so much
Hi,
I can’t reproduce that on a test installation, you can see a working example here: https://wpexpert.se/enfold/product/product-meta-info/. How can we reproduce the results that you are seeing on your end?
Best regards,
Rikard
