Hey genarojrs,
Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css, if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
.responsive #top #wrap_all .main_menu {
top: 60px;
}
.responsive #top #wrap_all .av-logo-container {
height: 120px !important;
}
#top #menu-item-search {
margin-top: -35px;
}
}
If you need further assistance please let us know.

Hi broggen73,
Thank you for clarifying. This kind of search is not available in Enfold out of the box, it needs to be built. You might want to hire a freelancer to do it for you.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
Victoria
“Since WordPress doesn’t offer this functionality and Enfold doesn’t add it,”
You still miss the point.
1: Keeping Metadata is NOT a “functionality”.
Stripping metadata is a bug.
Again: Metadata usually stays in the file when you make a copy or edit and you need to be active to get rid of it.
So there must be something that says “delete the metadata”.
That means, your idea of finding a plugin is irrelevant and completely points in the wrong direction.
It is as if i first destroy your car and then say “You need to find a spare parts dealer”
Not crashing your car is not a functionality.
1.1: “I also notice that the “IPTC” data is not easily available in image software (on Windows) only EXIF is shown in my software.”
Thats irrelevant.
Its in the file…if you see it or not….it doesnt matter.
Google “sees” them and takes it into account for delivering images to users.
No IPTC = bad SEO
2: The theme is in charge.
So it can overwrite the standards by hooks, functions and whatever.
That means: Enfold could influence that behaviour
3: Deleting the metadata is a severe thing to do.
Like i said before: It can cause very expensive lawsuits.
Imagine a photographer or a stock agency like Shutterstock makes it mandatory to put their credit as a metadata in the file.
And then they find a file which doesnt.
What do you think they will do?
4: Enfold advertises with “SEO friendly” but this is definitely not “SEO-friendly”
You might say that Enfold in this point is not worse than any other themes because maybe they all do it like that….but if you really want to be “SEO friendly” you should follow your own claim and make it do it right
If you dont understand why it is not SEO-friendly” imagine this:
A photographer has 1000 photos, tagged carefully.
Now Enfold comes along and creates for every file at least 6 other versions
So there are 6000 images
5000 does not contain the keywords, the Author, the copyright and so on.
Can you advice Google not to spider/index the thumbnails?
No, you cant.
Does google like to index dublettes/duplicate content?
No it does.
So whats the result?
The most images which end up in Google does not contain any metadata.
And maybe you know that image search is a relevant source for SEO, do you?
That means:
Any theme that delete metadata boycotts any attempt to get visitors via Google image search.
Here are some links:
https://www.foregroundweb.com/image-seo/
Finaly:
If you really want to stand out of the crowd, if you really want to build a theme thats a win for photographers and designers…… you will fix it.
Will you?

I recently upgraded 3 sites (two production, one dev) to Enfold 4.7.6.4 and now the looping background video in the Color Section has stopped worked in all 3 sites. They each have different sets of plugins and customization but nothing that was previously conflicting with the videos, which looped just fine.Now the video plays once, then stops and shows a blank black screen saying “Video Unavailable” even though the videos are fine still on YouTube.
I installed Enable jQuery Migrate Helper on one site to compare if it helped, but it did not.
I also tried this on another site I run that currently has Enfold 4.6 only, and the background looping does not work there either. All sites run PHP 7.3 or in the case of this site that I searched with Enfold 4.6, it runs PHP 7.4.
I’ve read several threads and comments from others claiming to have this issue for months. If there have been several updates between 4.6 and now, and the issue is still not resolved, that’s very troubling. I run lots of sites using this otherwise great theme, but I cannot understand why this very popular feature is yet to be fixed when it was working just fine in previous versions.
Here is the console error I see when the video plays once then stops looping (included as private info below):
Hi,
I am using the Enfold theme for 3 websites with pretty much the same settings. On the website below, which is co-hosted and maintained by a colleague of mine, we are having troubles with the sticky transparent header, which does not show up, when you scroll down the page. I have checked and compared all the settings, de-activated all plugins, searched in the forum, but was not successful.
I am very miuch looking forward to your support (hopefully great as always ;-)).
Best
Michael

Hi,
To hopefully end this debate
This is the data from an original testfile which was on my server at the moment when i made that screenshot
As obvious: It contains metadata.
maskenzauber.com/temp/IPTC-with.jpg
This is the so called thumbnail (705×470)which has been generated by Enfold from the testfile.
It contains no more metada
maskenzauber.com/temp/IPTC-without.jpg
And more:
There is no difference between metadata & IPTC
IPTC IS metadata.
Its just a standardized vocabulary.
Tipps:
1: Google for “photographer Enfold” or “Fotograf Enfold” and find some
2: Do a sitesearch for the founded sites (site:domain) in imagesearch
3: Flip through the images and check some images and you will find what i described
Hi,
Please add following code to Quick CSS field in Enfold theme options > General Styling tab
#top.rtl .template-search.content .entry-content-wrapper {
padding-left: 0;
padding-right: 55px;
}

Hi – I’m using a scroll down Arrow in a color section but the Arrow is not displayed in any Browser as well as the search glas in the main menu. It seems that there’s an issue with the entypo-fontello font.
Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://secureservercdn.net/160.153.137.170/4py.d7d.myftpupload.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/assets/fonts/entypo-fontello.eot. (Reason: CORS request did not succeed).
I looked at https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/icon/#icons-are-showing-as-rectangular-boxes- and made the suggested changes to .htaccess but still the same issue.
Do you have any suggestion how I could resolve this?
Thanks
Hi natas442,
The search uses this function get_search_form(): https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/get_search_form/
In order for you to paste your shortcode inside it, you’ll need to use a child theme, you can download and get instructions in the documentation: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/
Then copy searchform.php from the parent theme (enfold) to the child theme, then tweak it so you can integrate your shortcode in it.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Nikko

Thank you for your …answer.
Can you be a little more specific, please? Because you just gave me the link to the entire enfold documentation. It’s almost the same thing as giving me the link to the search engine.
And thank you again.
Hey Sabine,
Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the late reply!
Our German speaking moderators are currently busy working on other tasks so I will reply in English, not to waste more of your time so I hope that is fine :)
1- I added following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options > General Styling
/* Remove sorting 1 */
.product-sorting {
display: none;
}
/* PRODUKTSUCHE styling to match Produkt-Kategorien */
#top #woocommerce-product-search-field-0 {
border: 1px solid #aaa;
border-radius: 4px;
height: 28px;
}
#top #woocommerce-product-search-field-0::placeholder {
color: #999;
}
#top #woocommerce_product_search-4 .widgettitle {
margin-top: 0;
padding-top: 15px;
}
If I understood correctly, you would like to have more advanced product filter however, Enfold does not have such filter out of the box. So, you would need to find a plugin for that I am afraid.
2- I added following code to Quick CSS as well
#top h2.woocommerce-loop-product__title {
margin-bottom: 5px;
}
Please review your website :)
Best regards,
Yigit
Hi osmegas,
If you try to use Advanced Layout Builder on the Product Pages, it will no longer use the default template so you’ll have to add this manually.
Instead of doing that, you can do the following:
1. You’ll need to use a child theme (skip this step if you have one), you can download and find instructions in this link: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/
2. Go to functions.php of your child theme and add this code at the bottom:
function builder_set_debug() {
return 'debug';
}
add_action( 'avia_builder_mode', 'builder_set_debug' );
3. Create a separate page for the menu and search, once you have made it, go to the bottom of the builder, you should see a Textarea where some shortcodes are generated, copy all these codes.
4. In functions.php again of the child theme, add this code:
You can try adding this code in your child theme’s functions.php file:
function product_after_main_container() {
if (is_product()) {
echo do_shortcode("SHORTCODE");
}
}
add_action( 'ava_after_main_container', 'product_after_main_container', 12 );
replace SHORTCODE with the shortcodes you copied in step 3.
Hope it helps.
Best regards,
Nikko
Hi Nikko,
Thank you. That was helpful. If your support would have provided the relevant articles in the FAQ parallel to the answers of the support search, I could have saved you the work of an answer.
By the way, what I find extremely annoying is that Envato in the tolken’s registration process only sets a checkmark next to “View and Search Envato sites” when issuing the token. This means that if you don’t read this text carefully, you have no chance of understanding that this is not sufficient for registration. This is about the tenth licence I’ve bought from Enfold (I have a separate account for Highschool Australia), and it was never a problem with the first ones after implementing the tolken thing.
And the Envato people are too stupid or too arrogant to point out in a support request that possibly the wrong or too few checkmarks have been set. Incidentally, I’ve already had a run-in with them once, because it’s a real problem to understand how the licences and invoices are to be issued to my customers. They are not really helpful and friendly. This note please with greetings to Kriesi.
Otherwise many thanks for your as always great help.
Harald
I LOVE ENFOLD and I know that everything is possible with this superb template…But
I’m trying to achieve something similar to this effect on top of the page (VIDEO): http://peterloew.eu/home-newsroom/
How can I create a top border in black let´s say 10 px? I have searched your forums – no solution found :-(
that´s the css code I created and tried on this site:
#kds-column-border .flex_column.av_one_half.flex_column_div.first.avia-builder-el-5.el_after_av_section.el_before_av_one_half.avia-builder-el-first.home2 {
border-top: 11px solid #000;
}
Am I using the wrong approach? in private content you can see the page with the column “TOP STORY”
thanks with best regards

Most of my clients’ websites get a warning from Google Search Console and they all seem to have the same warnings.
Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 3 Mobile Usability issues with https://arliasands.com.au
– Viewport not set
– Clickable elements too close together
– Text too small to read
How do we identify exactly what they mean and how do we rectify these issues?
Kind regards
Dave
Ismael,
Don’t know if this new issue is related to the code addition, but it might be, so I thought I would tell you about the new issue here (you could move it to another ‘thread’ if it is not associated with the removal of the portfolio-item permalink).
It’s pretty simple: We have developed this new site for this client in the “Staging” area on GoDaddy. We just ‘pushed’ the site to “Live” (and clicked on “Overwrite”), and none of the icons are showing up [ Magnifying glass for search (in menu and footer on “Home” page); Icons in blue circles (on “About” page); book icons in the blue circles (on the “Resources” page) ]. (I think that is all that is missing).
“Staging” Site (everything seems to work just fine):
“Live” Site (missing icons):
Is this related to the removal of the permalinks? (and/or related to the icon font?)
If this is not ‘transferring’ properly, could there be other things in the future that might not go from Staging to Live using Enfold with GoDaddy?
Thanks for your help,
Mark Besh

Hi Guys,
Would be glad to get some support from you. On our search results page I would like to enable the left-sidebar. In Enfold -> Sidebar Settings i did already select the sidebar for all pages, but for some reason it doesn’t work on the search result page.
Thanks in advance!
Frank
Hey Hans,
Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the late reply!
Please go to Enfold theme options > Main Menu > General and disable “Append search icon to main menu” :)

Is there a way you could suggest that I could use the Enfold theme to sort boats by Builder, length, year, and price as in the site – https://www.denisonyachtsales.com/yachts-for-sale/
In my site – I currently am using a portfolio grid to show the boat inventory
Thanks!
Hi Melanie,
I believe you should add the image not in template-archive.php but in includes > loop-search.php.
I would suggest using a child theme: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/
Then add an includes folder to the child theme and inside it paste the loop-search.php from the parent theme then tweak that file.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Nikko
Hello everyone, I think that this feature is very much needed by Enfold, since the search results are better displayed in a grid on phones and other portable devices, thanks
Hi,
I’m not familiar with plesk unfortunately, don’t they have a support channel which you can reach out to? Adding CSS to your site likely won’t change anything in regards to performance. If you improve it for desktop, then it should be improved for mobile devices as well.
Webp images are not supported by WordPress by default, but there’s likely plugins you can try to implement support. I can’t say exactly how the theme would react to that though.
If you need to compress resources then you can do so under Enfold->Performance in the theme. If you need other type of compression, then please try searching for solutions online, they are likely not platform or theme specific.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi
Our website ranking has fallen away badly recently.
I tried to re-submit the homepage through Google Search Console > URL Inspection.
However, I get an error when Google tries to index the HOME page on my ENFOLD site — see link to image file below.
Relevant information: I moved to a new webhost 10 days ago. When we made this move, the root folder for WordPRess changed from credosoft.com/WP/ to just credosoft.com/
I’m not sure if that would cause this error or not.
Can you help?
Thanks

Hi, how can i change the behavior in Enfold, that when a link is incorrect, the code 404 (and the search option) is displayed. I want to sent back the code 410 instead, that the site is deleted.
I have set up customer pages for 401,403,404,410 and 500 and linked them in the .htaccess already. I the Enfold Child Theme options i can say “No custom site” then the 404 site appaers from inside the theme with a search fild. Otherwise i can set to “custom” page, then i can select one. But the Status code (for google, etc.) is 404.
How can i tell enfold, to sent 410 if a page doesn´t exist?
Gday Enfold support
Is there any way to disable the auto suggestions in the ajax search?
I am using a child theme, so perhaps a function?
Thanks for any help you can provide me.
cheers
Darryl
Hi Guys,
Hope you are doing well.
I would need some help regarding a newly created Enfold site where all new content will be added as posts. The problem here is i am using a layout without a top header (Logo + main menu are displayed in left sidebar). However, above the main content section i would need an area which has a similar height to the logo area in the sidebar. Inside this area i would to add a search functionality that should be visible permanently through all posts. Unfortunately i don’t find any solution so far.
For example see Private Content section. The first sample shows the current startpage built with ALB, but second one is finally a purely post which is what we need, but i don’t know how to add a header to his site.
Hi,
how can I make the “search item” in the enfold from “nofollow” to “dofollow” for inlinks?
I put the website link in the private content.
Thanks.
Ivan
