Topic: Step by step blog grid
Hi, I have been searching for hours with a proper tutorial for Elegant Masonry News page.
I saw the video from enfold but it doesn’t really explain step by steps.
1) How to set up the right post of a news with Photo and text without having to click on the thumbnail to view the post. I want photo and text underneath always.
2) How to “host” all the blogs on a page that has the masonry blog.

Hi, Maybe this topic has already been discussed, but i don’t find it, neither by searching in this forum neither anywhere.
My problem. Except using the “code block” available in content element, i try to paste a sample of code (xml for example) in order it’s readable by every one.
Like “code block”.But my problem is:
actually i use the accordion tool, and i want that one of my items contains a sample of code.
When i paste my code as text, this one is correctly written.Example, if i write in visual mode <p>, it will be correctly written like this <p>
When i publish my page then i look at it, there is no problem.When i come back, in my page, my <p> or <p> have completely disappeared.
my impression is, that “enfold theme” considers that is full html and not html written with special characters.
Have you got a solution ? or a different way to put a code block in the accordion tool ?

Hello Enfold,
I am guessing my last post got lost or something but my problem continues. The standard sidebar function of the theme does not work anymore since this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/search-results-page-questions/. That isn’t that much of problem because I can manually add sidebars to posts and it works again. Except for the category pages, and with a blog that is going to have a lot of categories that is a problem. I also tried resetting some of the codes (pasting them from the download files in the editor) but it doesn’t work. This is pretty much the last thing that needs to happen before the site goes live.Looking forward to your response

I received this error upon uploading the Theme into WPadmin themes –
Unpacking the package…and have an error upon loading.
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.So I searched support and found several other support tickets with this problem so I followed a link and a suggestion to load through Filezilla – which would be great if I knew how to use Filezilla!
I was recommended this theme as being easy to use but it is so far not that easy! And I cannot select the extra $50 to have someone else install without repurchasing the theme.
How can I get this theme installed easily and why can you not just upload this theme through Appearance/Themes/Upload Files like you can with most other themes????
Please assist as soon as possible.
Hi,
I am trying to edit various fields in my pages using the Avia Layout Builder and it does not work properly. For example, when I insert a promo box field and want to set up the button link manually, it is supposed to display a field to insert the link, but it doesn’t. When I try to add an icon to the button, it doesn’t select the icon I click on and it still displays the default icon. It also doesn’t display the WordPress SEO by Yoost field in the page, so I can add/edit the SEO. I am not sure what causes this.

P.S. I should mention that I had some problems with Jetpack and the newest version of Enfold and I had to delete Jetpack completely and re-install disabling omnisearch. Now that works, but Avia builder does not.

Enfold does not add a post type named “tt_font_control”, perhaps it was created by a third-party plugin.

I was wondering if it were possible to disable the scroll wheel effect on Google Map embeds to just interact on click. I have been searching the interwebs for hours and no one seems to be able to give a concise answer. (Maybe you can?)
I have a bicycling club website and it is paramount (no pun intended) that our rides are shown. However, I feel that when a user scrolls down their cursor or screen on mobile devices gets snagged/caught in the map making it difficult to navigate down.

I did go through and update my Yoast SEO descriptions a few days ago. Perhaps it takes a week or so for the Google search engine to go through and find the web page titles and home page to appear in Google listings. We’ll see.

Topic: Menu text resize issues
Hi Enfold team,
I love the theme! This is my first website, so I’m learning as I go. So far, I can do almost everything I want, but I cannot find a way to change the text size on my main menu (in a left sidebar) I’m running an Enfold Child theme with very few customisations. I have searched the forums and tried many, many attempts following previous advice, but nothing seems to work.
Some of the methods I have tried:
Deactivating all plugins
Clearing cache & browser cache
Editing CSS using info from other topics in this forum
Using CSS Hero plugin
Changing advanced style settings in Enfold Child (meticulously, all of them!)Nothing seems to alter the text size! I think it’s currently 16, and I’d like to try it at 12 or 14. I’m obviously doing something wrong or missing something – please can you help? Thank you very much!

I’m using the Enfold theme version 3.0.4.
Here I’ve noticed black bars in the background of slider animations in Firefox (version 36.0.1).
You can see it also at the kriesi.at website.

My research says, that lack of background-color in CSS animation is causing the issue in Firefox.
Using background-color:rgba(255,255,255,.01) for the elements which are animated makes the balack bars in the background smaller, but the do not disapear completely.Can anyone help me?

It looks like it is some conflict between the latest version of Enfold and Jetpack. Everything worked just fine before the update. Could you please help? I am not sure what else to do at this point to be able to log into my site.

I believe the site appeared in Google listings until I added SEO Yoast.
I am not sure why the site http://www.twinstatesafemeds.org disappeared from Google listings. I do not see that it has rewritten my page pretty permalinks or changed their addresses. I resubmitted the site 2 days ago to google and I am waiting on search results. I do see it appear in Yahoo and Bing.
What do you recommend for SEO plugins? To use with Enfold.
Is it possible to edit the Site Title and the Meta Description from Enfold?
What steps do I take to switch from SEO Yoast to another plugin and prevent any other issues.

ElliottHi- I’ve been searching for a solution and am hoping you can help me. On the Enfold site I have referenced below you will see LOG IN text that I have created in the Extra Elements portion of the Header. When my user clicks on the log in it takes them to a log in page and all works good in that respect. My problem is that after my user logs in I need those words to change to change to LOG OUT and then the functionality to go with that.
I would appreciate any advice you could give.

I just submitted our new site to google and let the crawler loose… apparently there were some small problems found.
In the 404 page handler is “Error 404 – page not found” a link. On our website its:

Thank you for continuing to improve Enfold, it it an amazing theme!
I am writing because I have just updated to Enfold 3.1.1 and I have noticed two new issues (per attached images).
1/ The sharing section which was normally displayed at the bottom of my ALB posts has for some reason moved at the beginning of the posts (http://www.screencast.com/t/uZE4X2dJs); and
2/ The language widget (qtranslate) has now an arrow displayed inside the selection bar (http://www.screencast.com/t/7lY5dDiE).
Can you please help me revert these to the normal functioning prior to Enfold 3.1.1?

Please take some time to review all of the resources in the Theme Documentation. A lot of basic stuff like theme installation, element configuration, options overview, css snippets and whole lot of handy stuff regarding the theme are probably available in there. You can watch video tutorials and learn about theme hooks and filter functions that may help you modify the theme as you like. You can also search the forum for any related questions or issues. All blog options can be found on Enfold > Blog Layout panel. The current blog style is set to Grid layout.

Just installed the Enfold theme. Amazing all the possibilities! I installed the portfolio demo and I’m searching for the lay-out used in the online demo. A Single Portfolio: 2/3 Slider with pre-difined client, task and skills options. Can somebody tell me where I can find this.

When you say “would like another sidebar” are you trying to have two sidebars display? If so then that would have to be considered custom work for now. Or if your just trying to change the search sidebar to something else then open up the /enfold/sidebar.php file and add this to the bottom of your functions.php file.

I’ve just been notified by Webmaster Tools that my new Enfold-themed site has produced some ‘critical’ mobile usability errors. I can see from this forum that others have recently been having similar experiences.
I appreciate what you’ve said in other responses about the fact that the Google automated analysis isn’t particularly refined, but whilst that may be the case, the fact is they’re threatening mobile ranking penalties, so – given that search is important for the site – Google are making it our problem!
One of the ‘must fix’ notifications is ‘enable compression’. The detailed report indicates that this refers to a good deal of background files from Enfold (e.g. Compressing http://www.bathtutors.com/…t/themes/enfold/css/shortcodes.css?ver=2 could save 128.2KiB (82% reduction).There are a lot of similar items identified from the theme).
Is this something that can be fixed? If so, how would I go about it?
