Back again, after a little research it’s a bloody plugin putting something in the footer. Changed a preference and it’s working a treat.
Thanks for your help, I really love enfold by the way. I’m a designer with lots of design experience and minimal web experience, enfold makes so much sense to me as a designer, I love using it.

We recently noticed an exploit on one of our sites running enfold… it seems to have mainly gone for the layer slider part of our site, along with a few other plugins…
Have you had any other reports of this? Any idea how to resolve this? apart from replacing the files?

I think you will get more help if you consult SEO gurus like Yoast developer “Joost de Valk”. You can open a thread in the Yoast forum. He actually created a very short article about robot.txt and from there I will quote:
WordPress Robots.txt suggestions by YoastThe robots.txt file is a very powerful file if you’re working on a site’s SEO, but one that also has to be used with care. It allows you to deny search engines access to certain files and folders, but that’s very often not what you want to do. Over the years, especially Google changed a lot in how it crawls the web, so old best practices are no longer valid.

I use different header menus for different pages with the help of Zen menu logic. I also use WPML for the page translations and WooCommerce for the shop.Now on my homepage I see all the menu items correctly (including search icon and language selector). When I go on “Your Music.” those two disappear. I guess it’s because only the Enfold Main Menu displays them.
How can I add the search and language icons to the other menus?

The tags should not be displayed there by default. You can see where we exclude them on line 60 in the /enfold/includes/loop-search.php file.

I am new to Enfold, and WordPress, and am running into two very odd problems. I don’t know if they are related.
1. The WordPress audio shortcode is not working with the ajax portfolio preview. I am trying to get audio clips to play in an ajax portfolio using the WordPress audio shortcode as was suggested to me by Ismael here. But while the embedded audio player shows up in the visual editor of the Add Preview Text window under Ajax Portfolio Preview Settings in the Edit Portfolio Entry screen (see screenshot 1), it will not show up when the entry is updated and viewed live, though if I select the seemingly blank area I can see a white outline where the embedded audio player should be (see screenshot 2). This disappears if I remove the audio shortcode from the portfolio item. To verify the problem wasn’t my code, I used the same code in a Code Block at the bottom of the page where the portfolio is located, and it shows up and works just fine.

This is very important functionality for my client, who wants to have photos, videos, and audio clips in the ajax portfolio format (opening on the same page, not in a lightbox or a new window) — this is the functionality that led me to choose Enfold in the first place.
While trying to solve this problem, I ran into the second problem:
2. Portfolio item pages are not being created, or at least are not accessible at their Permalinks. Apparently this has been happening the entire time but I didn’t notice it before because I was exclusively using the ajax portfolio preview, and not trying to view the individual portfolio pages. But when the only thing showing up for my audio test portfolio item was the title, I tried clicking on it and discovered the broken link. A little testing verified that every single portfolio item link — those created by me and those created by the imported demo — is broken.
Since I have installed several instances of WordPress to try out different aspects of Enfold, including importing different demos, and setting up child themes, I checked every instance with the same result every time. It didn’t matter if I setup a child theme or not, if I imported a demo or not, in every case the links do not work. I tried editing the Permalink but the page still could not be found. I double checked that the portfolio item links work in the official Kriesi demo, and they do. The website is being hosted on GoDaddy and the client has two accounts, so I tried both accounts with the same result.
The problem can be seen on the page above (imported Small Business demo then setup child theme), and here on a completely new instance of WordPress and Enfold with no child theme or demo import: http://www.inventpr.com/dev1/about/

While this isn’t necessarily a problem in the sense that I don’t plan to actually use the portfolio pages (my client exclusively wants to use the ajax portfolio preview feature), I don’t want site visitors to stumble upon broken links and think the site is broken. (I did type some text in the portfolio page box so it wasn’t empty, though the problem happens either way.) Also I’m not sure if this signals a deeper problem that might be related to the audio problem, which is critical to me.
I tested both problems on a PC (Chrome and IE), Mac, and Android phone, and got the same results every time. I’m using WordPress 4.3.1 with the version of Enfold downloaded from ThemeForest on Wednesday.
I’ve searched the forums and haven’t found anything related to these problems. Any help or direction you could provide would be greatly appreciated. As I said, I’m new to WordPress (but not to web development) so I’m hoping that I’m just overlooking something simple?

First let me say, love the theme, great support, tons of features that I love.
I’ve seen many posts about this so I’m just hoping for some good suggestions.I have about 100 images in a portfolio grid so it takes 15-30 seconds to load the page. I would like to have infinite scrolling or a “load more” button like the “Masonry Grid” but for portfolio items. I’m hoping this will help load times. If you know of other solutions to decrease load times, I’m happy to hear them.
The following are some ideas I’ve been thinking about to solve the problem.
1. I can’t lower the number of items shown and just add pagination because the sorting feature doesn’t work across multiple pages. It only sorts the items on the current page. If I could sort all items instead of just the ones shown on the current page, that would be great. Or if you can you recommend any portfolio grid plugins that would allow sorting across multiple pages..
2. I’m setting up cloudflare to parrallelize downloads but I don’t think it will be enough. I’ve also decreased the size of all images by two thirds but it didn’t help. It doesn’t seem to be the size but the number of requests.
3. I know that Enfold doesn’t offer infinite scrolling. So instead of using Enfold’s Portfolio Grid, could I install a “Portfolio Grid plugin” that has infinite scrolling, or is this dependent on the Enfold theme to work? (This would be my preferred solution if it’s possible)
4. Could I tweak the Masonry Grid element to only show portfolio items instead of blog posts so I could get the “Load More” button?
5. Could I just get a “Load More” button added to the “Portfolio Grid” instead of pagination? (This would be great if possible)
6. Currently, the page won’t show anything until all images are loaded. Is there a way to make the images start appearing as they load instead of waiting 15 seconds to show anything at all?
7. I’ve researched using sprites but this seems impossible with a responsive grid. Let me know if I’m wrong.
8. Can you recommend any portfolio grid plugins that would a

I had a menu that worked perfectly.
However I added new subitems to the menu.
When I do that, I observe that some added items in the “root” are deleted (like contact or search), as if they can´t fit in the menu or something.
Also after saving, the enfold principal menu box is automatically unchecked

Hi Enfoldians,
I’d like to have a general discourse about robots.txt and, if you are up for it, a dive into SEO. First things first. Like many of you I am seeing Enfold folders show up on a Google search. The returns are usually .js. Okay. No real harm. I just don’t like it. Now to the point. Should we be excluding wp-content in robots? Or Enfold? Yes, I’ve read the threads on this forum. I’m not lazy. But they left it sort of open ended. Some really serious WP geeks say exclude, and some serious geeks say don’t (citing a Google article by the luminary Matt Cutts that says Google wants your site “innards”).
Care to dig in?

I am facing the same issue using the enfold full width slider that comes with the enfold layout builder. The current-menu-item class in a one page navigation shows up randomly. The navigation works but the active menu class won’t show up correctly. I had an almost sleepless night searching for the reason. After reading this thread I removed the full width slider element and all links showed up with correct active menu items. However I need the full width slider and it is not a third party plugin but an element of the avia framework. Any help on this is appreciated. I have reported the issue in this thread

The menu shows up correctly after removing the id #top from the menu. Could it be that you have linked your home button to the id #top too?

I researched how to add a fifth widget column in the footer area and apparently it is available in the widget area? I do not see it. I am using the latest version of Enfold. So what do I need to do to add it. My content in each of the four widgets is short so there should be plenty room for a fifth.

AndyHow can I make my desktop view go to 1024 min pixels without the menu names overlapping my logo? I have already pushed everything to the right and removed the search icon for additional room? Topic: Enfold PSD for boxed layouts
Is there a psd anywhere for the boxed styles shown in the styleswitcher versus the full width layout?
Between the two looks there seems to be an extra 90 pixels to the left of the logo and 82 to the right of the search icon so it’s not so easy to turn the full width into a boxed version. You have to cut the extra space off of each end of each layer.

I’m using Woocommerce Product Filter plugin, everything works fine with the theme, just there’s one thing that keeps like “pending” for being fully integrated. I need to configure the config.php file inside config-woocommerce folder, but is there any way to make this permanent? (Like using a code in functions.php to avoid being override everytime when Enfold is updated, or load addtional code from the config.php in the Child theme folder).

PS. So to have the complete information (maybe it can give you some background) to the plugin to work I need to do the next things:
To insert the Product Filter template locate the avia_woocommerce_before_shop_loop() function. After the main wrapper insert the Product Filter action. The function should then look something like this

I would like a search icon in mobile view.
Now I have a search box (WooCommerce) below the header but would like that replaced by search icon in header.I search true the topics and found several “solutions” but I’m not get it done. (cache flushed)
Other thing is the store menu, if I watch it on the iPad (landscape) I can not see the complete menu, if I would like to scroll down it is not possible.
So I appreciate some help team :-)

I appreciate your reply and I don’t want to sound harsh, but you are repeating things you know I am aware of because I noted in previous posts..
As I mentioned, using the wand is a hit and miss; sometimes the format type disappears and blog headings (+comments/social media) are gone, and often the element does not have the same features in default mode/you have to manually tweak codelines.
I really think you guys should treat as a bug and have someone take 5-10mins and create the code – so at minimum people can paste the shortcode and have the standard blog headers appear while still using the features of the ALB which they expect to use when purchasing your templates. It is one of the reasons I purchased your template.Again not to sound harsh, but after I starting searching your forums I found users having the same issue and requesting similar help/shortcode as far back as 2013 ! ….. not a good sign that something will be fixed without pushing for it.
Is there someone I can escalate this to?
