Hi Andy,

sorry to be slow slow in replying. I’ve decided to ditch the The Events Calendar plugin as it is very limited in the functionality we require and gone back to the Event Manager plugin.

Can you advise if Enfold changes the WordPress default search function in anyway and if so, how can I remove this? We think that this is what is causing the issue with the From and To search feature.

Topic: Failed – Upload additional Iconfont Packages generated with Fontello

Made some custom icons at http://fontello.com/ – downloaded the zip file then used the Iconfont Manager in theme options to upload.
Click the upload button allows me to upload the font and then click “insert zip file” but at this last step it fails every-time.

ERROR “Couldn’t add the font because the server didn’t respond. Please reload the page, then try again”

– Searched the forums – couldn’t find anything to help
– Updated PHP server settings to max and more. to 256M
– Spoke to my server support they couldn’t find anything wrong.
– Log files when set to “LOG ALL” don’t show any php errors. Nothing with the time stamp that matches the time when i reproduce the error.
– checked my .htaccess file – made it bare basic as a test – noting.
– tried chrome and FF and explorer – same problem
– I have the lastest version of the theme

Its a chmod permission problem??

This error its only in this SERVER (client) in other servers I have installed Enfold dont problem

Hi,

To add a search bar to main menu a menu should be set as Enfold Main Menu on Appearance > Menus panel (Which i think you already have).

Sorry if my explaination was not clear enough to you. Here are some of my setting :
1. A homepage with transparent and glassy option. I want and did this to show the full image of my layer slider (I did this in the page setting)
2. I chose a logo left, menu right, and a slim header in enfold/avia framework.
3. In the Header behavior I check : Sticky Header, Shrinking header, and unstick topbar

All I want is, just to make the top bar comes in colour (black,grey,etc) or no transparency, while I set the main menu/header into transparent.
After did some search, i found this question darken transparent ,

Are we allowed to deactivate all your plugins?

Hello,

Loving Enfold and the ability to use the demos to build a site.
I’ve spent hours online searching for solutions and have not found the answers I seek.
I’m hoping you can help me solve some issues I’m having.

On the front page (top) I’ve replaced the images inherited from the demo I used. 

Frontpage Text - layer slider

I wanted to change the transparent slider with the about us and reservations buttons, but did not find the content in the LayerSlider WP.

I have looked for the captions option as suggested in a post, but could not find it. I wonder if the version of the LayerSlider might be the issue?

The following images are what is inside the LayerSlider WP on my site.

Hi there.

SEO > Title & Meta appears to be properly configured. In fact most sites just use the default settings and are not configured further. I made a chance to one site and saved the changes to see if that would solve the issue but it didn’t.

I searched all code on the site and the filter avf_title_tag is only used in the Enfold theme source code.

I have searched in Enfold and on support for a simple way to change the color of the navigation bar. Other than selecting a completely different “Predefined color scheme” under General Styling, I haven’t found a way. I only want to change the color of the navigation bar – not all the other color scheme elements.

All the replies in support seem to be giving custom CSS solutions. This is a surprise to me. It’s a very common setting in themes in general to have the ability to change the color of the navigation bar. I see how to use advanced styling to change the rollover background – but how can I change the default color of the main navigation bar?

How can I get to that information to edit it?

2. I also wanted to use the Progress Bars element on top of the top image, but couldn’t get it to drop onto the slider over the right side of the image. I tried to drop the content element on the Fullscreen slider and it would not drop onto it.

Do I need to create a new color section and place the image there and then drop rows instead of using the Fullscreen slider. It would be nice to add images later on etc. to get the cool effect, but the other item is more important.

How do I accomplish this?

3. On the contact form, I was able to turn the text to white, but the astericks and other text at the bottom are not in the same location.

How do I change them to white like the text. In other words, where do I find the controls for this and not mess up the other colors?

4. I have chosen to use the front page scroll down feature. Works great. http://www.robertLcarey.com.
Unfortunately, when I create pages, the new navigation buttons that scroll will not return me to the front page while I am on the new pages I create.

How do I fix?

Some ideas:

a. Get them to work.

b. On those pages, hide those buttons that don’t work and and provide a home page button and a back button. (In the future, when I add book content there’s a need to a way to get back.) Which means I will need to change the Front Page name to Home.

c. The bread crumbs could work, but it is not as elegant of a solution.

Thoughts?

5. I’m also having some trouble with the blog pages. When I select blog on the front page, extra code is introduced into the URL for the blog page. When I remove the extra characters, it goes to the page.

How do I fix?

6.Also, after deleting what I thought was all of the Enfold address in the widgets area on the backend, I have found one of the addresses still appears in the sidebar of the blog.

7.When using the scroll down feature on the front page, is it possible to also have drop down menus? If so, are there any tricks I should be aware of?

8.There’s a black line between Books and Contact us. I added a layout element between the two. Is there a way to may it smaller, transparent?

Hi,

I’m using the Events Manager plugin (http://wp-events-plugin.com/) and when I test their search function between a date range it shows me all results when I have Enfold enabled but when in the default WordPress theme, it only shows me the correct events between the date range.

To test I have two events:

Alice Through the Looking Glass 26-28 – Between the dates of the 26th and 28th of July
Alice Through the Looking Glass 31-07 – Between the dates of 31st July to 7th of August.

The url is: http://eastgate.digitalessence.net/events/

If you now click on Advanced Search and search between the 30th and 31st it will return one event. (Alice Through the Looking Glass 31-07)

I’ve set up a responsive mobile menu as per the instructions in:

Changing the menu on mobiles

I’ve created two items for the menu but they aren’t displaying. There should be a link to the ‘My Account’ and ‘Cart’ pages (using icons rather than text) but I can’t see them. I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong?

Also, I’ve moved the search icon to the top (secondary) header using this method

But on the mobile view this forces the top header menu to flow onto two lines as I have info text displayed in this section as well. Is it possible to move the search icon back to the main menu for mobile only?

Finally, I noticed when viewing the site on a smartphone in landscape, the logo moves to the left. Is there a way to keep it centred, regardless of the orientation?

I’ve included a mockup image of what I’m hoping to achieve.

I am trying to implement a Big search box in the middle of the mainpage.
The search box is working fine as well the Design is proper.
Unfortunately, the ajax-instantsearch does not work as expected.

I am using the Plugin search shortcode to enable [search] and it’s working fine with following output:

Hi,
I can’t find the iconfont manager area so I can add icons to the icon selection boxes. I searched the forum for threads and found this one: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/adding-custom-icons-to-an-icon-box/ which leads to the wonderful tutorial video here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/adding-your-own-icon-fonts/ which seems to be a bit outdated, as it instructs us to find the iconfont manager under “General Settings”. I’m using the latest version of Enfold 3.6.1, and the theme options no longer include “General Settings” I’ve gone through all the theme setting options, and maybe I’m just tired out (which I am tired!), but for the life of me, I cannot see that handy “Iconfont Manager” field so I can add a new font icon from Fontello that I need to my icon selections. Has it been eliminated? Or am I just so tired I am blind?

I have tried to find an plugin for an filter in the blog catogory’s but i couldnt find it anywhere.

After a whole day of searching i finally found somthing what comes REALLY close to what i need! This Magazine option in Enfold. The only thing is, i dont want to display them as thumbnails, also not 1 big and the rest small but i need them all the same size and 3 in a row. Is this possible with css maybe?

Above the black row is what it is and under the black row is what is has to look like

i have added the url to the specific page, i hope someone can help me out!

We’ve created a one page website using Enfold. There are different color sections with anchor links attached. For one section we used the WP layerslider instead of a colorsection.

For the WP layerslider there is no possibility to create an anchor link. We’ve searched the forum and could not find a solution that would work for us. Could someone at Kriesi help us out?

Also I noticed that this layerslider won’t scale well on a mobile device. The text put onto this slider is hard to read. Is there a solution for this as well?

I use the Enfold theme to upgrade an old Prestashop website, everything was ok but now i have a mystic problem and i’m too tired and lazy to search more …

The fact is i did the migration to the production environnement yesterday and the shop banner has disappear ! I checked into the HTML, the code section does not exists anymore. My enfold theme confirguration is correct, the image url is OK, php does not throws any errors.

My php version is the same than my pre-production environnement, and the server configuration is pretty similar too.
The banner was well displayed in the pre-production environnement !

What can i do ?

I think I have to deliver a more detailed explanaiton about my problem. What I do is the following:

1. I go to “www.google.ch”
2. I tipe “hk learning ag” into my searchbar
3. The result looks like this picture

And the yellow marked part of the picture shows some template content of enfold you can click on but you will not find any “good” content.

I hope you understand my problem now.

Hello!

Really love Enfold ! I work at a promiment website design company – and rely on Enfold for most of our projects! Really feel blessed and thankful.

Quick question – that I think can be solved via CSS

I would like to decrease the spacing between the Main Menu and the Sub Level – but having a really hard time figuring that out. I have searched the forms and found CSS that relates to the line height and such – but none that really seemed to help the problem.

Also – I should mention – that the sizes differ – depending on if I am on the homepage or on any regular page. Attached are two screenshots to help visualize:
